Just got my FM3 Monday....I must admit,I am more than a little overwhelmed...this video helped me a lot to figure out the switches....I am coming from a Helix,so this is quite a bit different...it sounds awesome though....I am also stuck on the Fractal Bot thing...does the unit have to be plugged in to the computer to download FractalBot?This is my first Fractal product ever....I am super impressed with the sounds of some of the presets....most modelers, the presets are horrible...
Hey Scott, glad it helped. Yes it does sound great. You can download the Fractal Bot directly from Fractal's website but if you want to use it with the FM3, then yes, you will need to connect it via the USB cable on the back. You may also want to download the FM3 Edit as well, which is what allows you to set up all your sounds/patches/etc on your computer. I find this is much quicker to dial everything in with. Hope that helps!
Bill Worrell I downloaded FMEdit...but when I went to download FractalBot,it had these boxes to which file locations you wanted to put it??As helpful as your video about the switches was,I think I am going to buy the FC6....just seems like the extra switches would be a lot easier to navigate and use everything.....it’s an amazing, deep piece of gear, but I love this thing....once I get everything figured out,it’s going to be the brain and centerpiece of my rig..
Richard Poole Doing great with it...I have learned a lot in the past few weeks....there is more of a learning curve than with the Helix, but this thing does more than the Helix....The Helix is a very good Unit.....but....the Fractal in a lot of ways is on another level.....Happy to answer any specific questions you might have..
Looking for more about this unit. You explained the button layout in a way which I now easily understand. Please continue.

@@scottpeters4401 Oh, by all means, the FC6 can and should be used as an add-on to the FM3!
I also am a helix fan boy but am thinking of the change....how are you doing with it?

What are the measurements on box please?
Do you know the volume inbox?
Can this be used as an amp? Like if l put this with the rest of my pedalboard, can l just be guitar and pedalboard?
Thank you.
Yeah I would think so! I haven't specifically tried it that way but I don't see why it couldn't!
It’s not an amplifier, but you can go straight to PA. You need a power amp to play through a cab
That’s a buy.
