      The 13mm are very stiff for sure.

      I've had two 13 mm lever action Inzer belts. I found just storing the belt coiled fairly tightly, along with using it, broke it in just fine. I stored it in a small-ish box when not using it. The box held the coil just fine. After a few months, the box won't be necessary.
      I never reverse-coiled, twisted, or otherwise manipulated either of them. That's all fine to do, of course.

      @@daevidpp445 I have a 13 mm because I'm used to it and, if I had to replace it, it would be another 13 mm one. But, yeah, a 10 mm really is more than enough, along with being more comfortable sooner. Someone new to decent powerlifting belts should generally go with a 10 mm IMO.

    I’m assuming these tips would apply to a SBD belt as well

    • @InnerStrengthProducts
      @InnerStrengthProducts  Год назад +4

      They would for sure, but the SBD belt doesn't normally need as much or any manual break in we've found.

    Man I got stuck in the damn thing today trying to get it fitted. I set it way too tight and next thing you know I couldn't manipulate it and Inhake far enough to get it off. I actually almost started panicking. Fortunately I was able to just shove a screwdriver in there and compress it just enough to pry it off. That was not my proudest moment and was actually pretty freaky bc my mind immediately went to... Oh crap, I think I might have to go to the hospital to get it off(just moved to a new city).

      The teeth can definitely be tricky to get off the first few times until you get used to pushing the ends together to release that hold.

    Will breaking my 13mm help me put the screws in cuz they won’t go in

    • @InnerStrengthProducts
      @InnerStrengthProducts  Год назад +1

      They screws should definitely go in without any issues even on a brand new belt. Can you feed the screws into the lever when it's not on the belt? Just to be sure the lever/bolts aren't faulty. If that works fine then I find just slightly bending the belt while attaching the lever makes it easier to get the holes closer to the lever.

      I just got my 13mm in the mail yesterday, I prefer a thick belt for heavy squatting but I definitely also had trouble getting it off lol. Took me about 10-15 minutes. I have a week to figure this thing out at home before my next leg day
