" With its deft combination of acoustic guitar and cello, Antonio Forcione's group has been one of the classier practitioners of pastel-tinged, Metheny-Esque improv. As ever, a little patience is required in the opening sequences: Forcione is a virtuoso who likes to indulge in extended bouts of throat-clearing before he launches into the thick of things. But by the time the spry ethnic themes of African Dawn and Sahara Rain heave into view, the musicians have raised the temperature by several notches. Tarantella is a forceful workout as you'll hear from any heavyweight jazz-rockers.'

Hi Antonio - only recently discovered your performances - just found them on youtube. Didn't know you made a recording with Charlie Haden as well. Been listening to Alhambra repeatedly - beautiful, powerful composition and fantastic performance. I didn't know about these palaces by the Moors - now I do! Would like to have heard you play with Chick. You know he really admired Paco - think he would have loved your playing. My keyboard player worked with Chick for years - so I got to interact with Chick as well. Not only amazing musician - but an incredible human being. You ever come over to the states?
Hi, thank you for the lovely comment. I was fortunate enough to meet Paco de Lucia several times, I also heard from Carlos B. that he enjoyed listening to my album Acoustic Revenge during a tour. Playing with Chic Korea would have been a huge privilege for me Both Artists have imbedded a huge mark on my artistic life. The USA tour is not on my calendar at the moment ..but who knows what the future holds.. Thanks A

PS: la chitarra che suoni in questo brano è una fretless? A me sembra che la suoni intonando le note tra i due tasti e non sul tasto, come é possibile?

Does it mean you gonna release an EP exclusively dedicated to Indian music ?
D'Lo CoCo I might in the future...after my Sketches of Africa project, I have been concentrating on Cuban culture and its reach music legacy. Hopefully, with some financial support I should be able to release a ‘Sketches of Cuba’ before embarking on another protect. Thanks for the interest
Antonio, in my view you could practice your playing on the fretless guitar a bit more because your fingering is misplaced in between frets and placing your fingers correctly could help you play in tune.

@@AntonioForcione1 I saw you in Manchester 20 years ago when you where unknown in Greece and I bought all your CDs. I then contacted your manager and got hold of your contract which I shared, as well as the CDs, with a few clubs in Athens so that I saw you play live again but I didn't manage to organize something worthwhile for you to come and play in Athens. Who knows? Someday I may be able to see you play live again.
That slight misplacement makes it even more beautiful!

Panos Dramitinos ..there is always place for improuvement . But if you have any knowledge of guitar and look harder, you will understand why my fingers are not ‘misplaced’ but correct between the freest. Enjoy
