- Installation of LeoVince de-cat pipe on Ducati Multistrada 950 2018. Sounds incredible, big difference. No high rpm on this part after I flash the bike I'll saw you the real sound stay tuned!!!
Part 2: high rpm sound, and test drive.
Thanks for watching, stay safe 🙏
See you in the next video!
I think Leo Vince has the most well thought out design for their decat pipe. Pipes from companies like Mivv, Spark, etc. just dump the exhaust gases from the rear cylinder into the main pipe at a 90 degree angle with no attempt to smooth the flow path. Probably doesn't matter at the end of the day, but I like elegant engineering solutions for their own sake.
Hi Mike waiting for your part 2 video .
Coming up next week 🙌
I threw the akrapovic titanium on my 1200, a bit too loud and harsh. PC5 installed. I was going to send it to the shop for a dyno tune but now considering throwing the leo vince link pipe on. Would the resonator make that much of a difference? Sound wise yes, but will db reduce a little? i dont need to wake up the hole neighborhood at the crack of dawn. I know it says for the 950 but looking at the parts manual, i dont see any differences. Clamp sizes are the same, same pipe guard, same mounting locations, think its worth a try to purchase and install?

Does de-cat decrease the fuel consumption? Also do you have to re-map the ECU? I'm asking because I have MS950s and would consider do the same to my bike. Thank for sharing 👍🏽
Hi Carl, It does little bit. But you can search on (dynojet.com) and you will find maps, they have for different modifications. You can download for free!
@@mikemantalis787 Awesome, Thank you for your reply. I really like that LeoVince de-cat pipe. Keep the Vids coming.
The remap is really need or not?
Thank you in advance for your replay.
Sound is very promising, can't wait to listen to high rpm sound ! can you please post the reference to the de-cat pipe from LeoVince ? Thanks
Hopefully this week I will post the (part 2)🤞This is where I got it from. Really nice shipment 📦 and careful! And fast to USA!! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164039000463
I can’t understand what’s happens with the exhaust valve. I have a multi 1200 2011 and I want to get Leo vince decat but I’m not sure what happens with the exhaust valve.
Hi fotis, The LeoVince decat provides you with a little piece you connect the cable of the exhaust valve and you leave it the way it is, you have no problems. Thanks
@@mikemantalis787 thanks a lot my friend
Hey mike ,does this decat pipe come with a db killer?
what's the servo ? just by installing that metal like plug does the trick ? no need to bypass it by using a servo buddy ?
Hi Carlos, no I just put the metal plug on it. I didn't change the servo. The servo still the stock. No problems at all.
After my multistrata 950 installed this link pipe, the engine fault light came on. I would like to ask if you also encounter this problem and how do you solve it?
I never had any engine fault light on so far. Did you took out the valve motor of the exhaust?
@@mikemantalis787 No, I just put the Exhaust valve cable into the protective cover
@@wongray5990 me too. The same problem on my 950s...
Mike, is this de-cat suitable for Multistrada 950 S 2020?
Hi Miguel, LeoVince de-cat says fits on 2017-2020.
you need to install Servo exhaust eliminator or Not ?
The exhaust manifold comes with a pieces to put it on the cable of the servo, but also you can get the eliminator if you want to remove it.
Nice video, but you had to show us the sound more detail like on high rpms. This is what most people want to “see”. How it sounds.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'm gonna make a second part showing the bike after flashing the ecu, the sound on high rpm & test drive.
mike mant very nice!! We will be waiting! 👍🏻👍🏻
Is flashing or remap required?
@@ridero5 The ducati dealership said no necessary, but I will reflash it for better fuel ratio!!
mike mant thanks for the info does it have lots of pops n back fire on decelerations?
