Good review and yes the plug adaptor gripe is a strange one for a UK spec. I like the fact that the battery is enclosed in the frame and not as some having an external bolted to the frame, and reasonably light weight and quick.

A good open minded review Andrew thanks. I will let you into a little secret, last year after changing jobs I wanted to make my daily 22mile commute a but more interesting. But with leaving for work sometimes at 5am and returning as late as 9:30pm with a monster hill, I needed a bit of help ! So I bought a Giant E bike toughroad and I now commute between 80 and 110 miles a week. Just clocking up 1150 miles . In all weather's at £7.50 per 1000 miles ! And only taking me an additional 20mins each way, with no parking. Its is great fun and highly recommend it. Its breathed a lot more fun in travelling around now. One main advantage, other and the obvious of going up hill is that you are more confident going up hill as it takes the wobble out ! I will do a review on my bike latter in the year on my channel. Hey Andrew. That is a lot of bikes for a thousand quid. To put it into perspective it's a couple of hundred pounds less than a Shimano 105 Di2 groupset which is supposedly the groupset of the people. Though at that price not anymore in my opinion. A very interesting option and well worth consideration when the time comes. The plug for the charger is what all electronic devices use out here in Asia so you can almost bet your house that it was made in China!
I received my gin x two weeks ago and it came with a three pin plug,my issue was the front mudguard couldnt be fitted but to be honest when i originally purchased bike,the linger mudguards wasn't on offer then.
Have done 1700miles on mine and thinking of buying 500W motor and 52v 20AH battery from eBay for better range and then sell my current 250w and gin x battery.
I have just bought an off road folding 250w ebike with 20 x 3 inch fat tyres to explore the Norfolk trails. As I live in Taverham, first try out will be Marriotts Way.
I paid in full for a gin x in February, three months and many contradictory emails later i cancelled, they are refusing to give me my money back. Buyers beware.

Hi JP, You've got a really good point! The price of this bike is what sets it apart...a rugged ebike for an affordable price.

@DIVUM Did a 40 mile bike ride today and still had 44% battery and I'm not a small person so very happy so far.
