You're right about people being helpful in the POE community. The vast majority of the community really enjoy watching someone go through their POE journey for the first time.
For those of us who love both POE and Diablo, this is a win for everyone. Now Blizzard has to up their game and improve to survive. Competition will rocket both games to be better or they will die. It's a beautiful time to be an ARPG enjoyer
They don't have to improve though because there's still people claiming D4 is a good game and we should all just get along and like both. D4 is a terrible game, in pretty much every way, it is made by people who don't even play games and exists purely as a corporatist cash grab. So long as delusional D4 fanboys exist and so long as casuals blindly buy Diabo games, we will never see them truly improve.

Pumped to see you blast PoE 2. It will surely test your skills and theory crafting ability in ways that D4 couldn't. THIS is the game a hardcore ARPG player like you truly deserves.
Playing poe 2 as a complete noob other than completely blind is unacceptable. Yea i will probably be stuck in act 2 while everyone is doing maps but there's only chance to play a game 'blind'. And that chance is now!
This guy doesn't make builds, he just copies them from sweat lords in the game and just makes 1 or 2 tweaks on the item and makes it his own. It was very prominent on Season 5 Lightning spear Sorc era. Rob became ROBUNA, because he just copied Mekuna's build and just changed the gloves to FoF.
It will take a long time before a noob makes a build that's worth anything. You can make your own build as a noob in poe1 and go through campaign and maybe some maps but in order to push late game you need more knowledge
TIP! If you purchase the $30 pack, spend the coins on stash tabs. It's even better if you wait for the stash tab sale, which happens every 3 weeks. Unless you want to look cool, you won't have to spend a single dime again.
The thing i disagree with Rob here is D4 Lilith comparison. Problem with Lilith at launch was that you needed crazy reaction times to avoid those one shot mechanics. Often it actually bugged out anyway in transition to next phase. Also even now with SB crazy dps class you can get one shotted by one of the chasing blue lights. I dont like that stupid mechanic. PoE2 is much better. First you learn boss basic moves in campain later in uber vesrions. But you always have indicators when something is about to happen and reasonable time to react. In D4 uber boss lilith often you dont if you preemptively dont react what about to happen. To me it seems D4 devs donw know to make challenging but fair uber boss fights
I originally wasnt planning to buy early access but after seeing multiple reviews changed my mind. Going to buy it and play it for sure. I am a big d4 enjoyer and POE1 looks not interesting but given the improvements that were made and genuine excitiment im seeing is enough to try this game out
Even though i dont like D4 that much, i have always admired you positive and excited attitude. I hope your viewers allow your swap to PoE 2 to succeed. Im a degenerate quin viewer, but i look forward to what crazy stuff you find in poe.
Lilith was the worst fight ive seen in ARPG. Overlaping mechanics constantly, constant slow, 5 1 shot mechanics . Liith was not challenging she was anoying as hell.
I disagree. The fight itself was really good but look at how the mechanics look in poe 2 vs Lilith...they look crystal clear here. Even in Last Epoch they look crystal clear. In D4, you need eagle eye view to understand what's happening.
This is the real Diablo 2 successor, I was sceptical at the beginning, but after watching about PoE Im really hyped and already got the early access can’t wait!
@@jordan_goes_in4378 Poe has been designed on the base of d2 even the developers have said it before, but it doesn’t matter I’m here for a good product regardless where it comes from
@@jordan_goes_in4378 it does, but GGG are massive fans of D1 and D2. PoE concept was to continue in the same vein as D1/D2. Hence the basis for the continued comparisons.
Because it's a game which can keep you interested longer than 5 days. Playing D4 only for money must be fkin hard. No need to lie him and woodi still enjoy d4- I bet my house they don't :D
As someone who has never played PoE, I'll be honest, yesterdays stream was overwhelming. There is so much content, which is a good thing, but I hope the learning curve isn't too hard. One of my Diabros told me, D4 is catered more towards casuals, whereas on PoE you can be casual all the way to extremely sweaty and truly have a one of a kind build.
POE complexity is worry most people don't need, its like people who don't go to the gym because they are afraid they will look too big, sure it can happen but it most likely it wont happen on accident, at least not early, the tree is a good example, if you wanted to make a minion build, you can just grab every single minion stat and you will probably end up with something decent
I was able to play the version earlier this year. i can tell you if you are a casual player, you’re gonna hate this game. 😂 its a very slow and difficult game. its not for diablo 4 players.
The trick to PoE is to pick one avenue of the game, focus on it, and disregard the rest. You can learn one thing at a time and still have a blast. Then, next league, you can pick the next thing.
GGG doesn’t nerf stuff like blizzard. Only at league start or in this case probably after EA they like to see what the community can break and let us blast until the next major patch
@ maybe at first patch. I think they’ll adjust things but the never just flat out destroy a class like Blizzard. They might adjust certain skills and what not, we’ll see. Playing PoE over the years I know they don’t like to have people invest in a class get it to 100 and nerf it. Just my 2 cents
During EA it doesn't count, but it also doesn't matter in POE anywhere near as much if something sucks or if something is broken, there's sooooo much that's viable, there's so many end games, you can play for years and never actually need to kill pinnacle bosses and still never run out of shit to do.
Super hyped for Poe2 , I have 4500h in Poe1 , 1500h in D3,500h in D4, about 2000h in D2. I've been playing on and off Poe1 since 2012 , took a few years off from 2015 to 2017 ,since then I've been playing almost every league. Even as a super bad player poe it's been my favorite arpg,I've only killed Maven last year and only got my first HH and MG 1 league ago For me D3-D4 were a 14-20-30h turn brain off and do big dmg , gear well and done The thing I'm super excited about is the bosses , they look amazing and I love the more souls like dodge, learn movement ,mechanics
The comment about the Lilith fight left me a bit confused 😅. Its easy because people find the builds to circumvent the actual mechanics of the fight and then don't want Blizzard to fix those builds. Obviously, if phase one is over within 0.1s because you nuke her, then there is no challenge. I wonder if PoE2 will find a way to balance these fights without playing the "fun police" all the time!?
They typically dont do balance changes to characters after league start unless its a bug and very unbalanced. This likely doesnt apply to early access since the whole point is to rapidly improve things.
@RaWRpewpew "unless it's a bug or very unbalanced" - this describes basically every meta build in D4 so far ^^ ... and man how people cried when those builds where fixed -_-
@@RaWRpewpew i expect a lot of changes and fixes in the early access phase, but I'm also excited to see how GGG will handle the seasons after the "release" and if they find a better balance than Blizzard 😅
The crazy part is d4 could have done something like this with the nightmare dungeons if they had more depth in them and better boss fights. Add in a better crafting system and it could be a gem if it were integrated into the open world in an intricate system
yea, to be honest, diablo immortal(i know it’s bad but hear me 😅out) has more mechanics n events than d4. especially social events n mechanics is really good. but comparing with poe, the mechanics n depth as well as trading n crafting is like years of content depth. you r right though, if d4 add a kind or type of dungeon or mechanics per week, without removing it, it would be quick n vast.
@@UnderPoverP my wife would be perfect only if she wasn’t so fat, had all her teeth, didn,t get alapecia and stoped drinking every day😂but d4 is made by demografic , poe is made by a vision,a demografic cant imagine🤨
I would be exited for POE2 too, but as a console player i am concerned about the oldschool inventory. I hate that sorting stuff with controller and that was the reason for me to break up with poe1 and d2r pretty fast. Thats bad, because it would be cool to switch between 2 arpgs. But i will see. Mabe they have some tweeks for fast controller use in the inventory.
There have been couch co-op play tests with controller, you can find controller gameplay on youtube. I think they have improved it but you can decide if its good enough.
@RaWRpewpew yeah gameplay itself looks good with controller, just the inventory looks like a lot of button pressing. But well, i will buy the EA. It looks very good so far and couch coop is a pretty nice bonus because my wife did not like D4 and mabe she gets into poe. I am exited about the 6th dec. I love Diablo... Even D4... But atm i had an overdose, so i need some new stuff
Blizzard has 0 respect for their players. Being pigeon-holed into playing a single class to do everything in S6 is completely disrespectful. If you wanted to do pit 150, SB. You want paragon 300, because you need to do a little higher pit to optimize your xp, SB. They nerf loot drops, nerf aspect drops, nerf tormented boss loot. When there’s a bug that makes everything else better, they fix it. Basically, they don’t want you to have fun. I’ll play it until something better comes along (presumably POE2). But, this is all my $.02. My clan-mates will be jumping ship too. POE might be hot garbage, but visually it looks great!
@@exarius91 ? have u ever seen poe? lol d4 is increadibly slow compared to poe at the high end that's not gonna change. we already got glimps in the trailer of full screen clears on some of the classes. anyway poe is what u make of it u can create a full zoom zoom character or a methodic boss killer is up to ur gaming preference.
I have seen gameplay that is way faster than D4 already. There is a skill called flicker strike that chain teleports you to weakened enemies at mach speed, its in the trailer too.
@@ADVGuiltyPartyyeh, to be honest. slower in some ways are better, in a sense of control movement and tactics. in poe1 the extreme speed and clutery really makes the game hard to see. so unlimited power stacking can have down sides.
I got into D4 and enjoyed it for the most part. Then i tried LE, and in a lot of ways much prefer that, though it also lacks some end game, but has a better journey to it, and many better more diverse systems. But both games quickly fall off in terms of interest, where the progression is just "more of the same". POE2 looks like it will A) take a lot longer to get to endgame, with the journey being challenging and engaging all the way. Plus the endgame having an insane amount of variety to keep you playing. Im not even sure if a single season will be enough to complete it all even in its "half the content" state that EA will have. People complaining about lilith were legit, but they didn't listen. The issue is the telegraphing, inaccurate hit boxes etc. They have still done nothing to those, and just made her squishy in 1 second. That isn't what we wanted.
Yes to both. You need to buy early access to play, (unless you're over the $480 spending threshold to get a free key) but all your MTX will transfer from PoE 1 in both the early access and the full game.
@@codyandcharles Dang I'll need to download PoE again just to see my threshold? I've got my share of giving them my money, but not sure about that specific 480
@@MrLove-666 If you log into your account on path of exile website. Go to your account page and click "Path of Exile 2 Early Access" you should be able to see if you already have access. I havent spent 480 so im not sure it works but it should i think.
i would think that so. probably if d4 has new updates. as i think the issue is poe updates is just too much too fast to catch up. as of now, i mostly tinkering in poe and really can’t remember much of d4 stuff. And if the release of updates of d4, poe1 and poe 2. 3 games, it’s really hard i think. probably selectively focus the one u enjoy at the time.
well its simple GGG just dropped what we wanted to be a real sequel to diablo 2 😂 Necromancer wibes all over again and funny enough all the stuff a billion dollar studio cant achieve anymore they just deliver!
A question to poe players...is there a way to see a list of what potential stats you can get on the item when crafting? For instance on those boots at 12:16.
There will likely be lots of websites with this kind of info after start of early access - you can google craft of exile for how it looks like for poe1
I don't understand why many streamers keeps saying things along the line of "yesterday's nuke of an announcement." It was a longer presentation than I was expecting, I didn't think they would go into such detail, but I was always under the impression they would launch early access with campaign + end game + 6 classes. Was the general consensus that early access would launch with less? Was this the case with POE1?
noone actually knew waht early access meant in poe. if u would ask anyone they would say like act1-3 campaign so everyone would get a taste. and you would go back to poe 1 until 2 was ready. instead we got act1-3 and the endgame that means instead of a taste we get basically the full game. cause in reality besides the monster types between acts 4-6 and bosses everything is already in the early access. and the rest of the classes and ascendancys all . what they presented is already enough content for half a year tbh.
Have you played any early access games recently? I do not blame people at all for keeping expectations low. GGG clearly has a wealth of talented devs and it shows, but games lately have been failing to meet player expectations, so we get caught off guard when developers deliver like this.
It was a "nuke of an announcement" because of fairly fleshed out endgame. There were rumors prior to yesterday but none one had any ideas that it'll be this deep and expansive with that many bosses. Exciting times;)
yeh like 007 said, before yesterday. all we know was act 1 to 3 shown. nothing end game was told. so “nuke” was the end game. as i think most like me prolly thinks , act 1 to act 3 n just nothing. for a year, maybe act 4 adding after. ( like a 20% early access game.) and i did thinks i probably won’t be paying for early since it’s kinda just 20% of game. but after the the announcement it was basically 80% full game and 20% left act4 to act6 to be added. which makes me excited n shocked. n bought the key for it. as well , from poe 1 experience, 90% of the game is really in the end game actually. 🎉❤
I'm good. Maybe I'll try it out after the hype has settled. I won't have much time to play games in the next few months anyway - my kid is coming soon.
@@invincaspartan Go and play PoE 1 and you will get an Idea on "their idea" of performance and how it should run etc. And on that bug mentioned by you, how f**** bugged is D4 atm and will be with S7? You must be kidding or i do not understand what you wanna tell us here. Ask yourself how long you need to finish a Season in D4 and compare that to the Endgame in PoE 2 (Season NOT included). Again, i don't say that lightly, but D4 is done after yesterday.
Rob if you put a finger in PoE2's gear, there is no way you come back to d4. I hope that 'cuz im gonna switch to PoE and wish you'll theorycraft on PoE2
$30 to get into early access which also gives 300 points to spend on MTX which work in both PoE1 and PoE2. Once the game is out of early access it'll be free.
I can agree with you if diablo 4 is in a good state for non dad gamers It is going backwards in terms of gameplay If that is fixed and has better end game/multiple seasonal activities thay are shoehorned into the gameplay loop Then yes, it is good to have diablo 4 and poe 2 Otherwise...... poe 2 is the only salvation
Never played one but have only heard good things. Plus dosnt sound like the company is making poe2 for the paycheck. Unlike most sequals nowadays, this looks promising.
love diablo but dived into poe 1 about 2 years ago and was blown away with the build diversity and skills. and poe2 looks grpumdbreaking with how all the skills can interact with eachother the modify them and actually visually change them. D4 is one skill as a damage dealer and everything else is just a buff. its braindead. i love d4 but the end game is just none existant. u pkay a season for a week than its done. poe endgame is just mindblowing and dont get me started on the crafting. after 2 years i still couldnt figure that shit out properly lol. thats why im excited for poe2 to start from the begininning and learn from the start
I had two problems with POE 1. First, although I found the early game interesting, at no point did I feel strong. It was always just too challenging/complex/annoying. Second, I was playing on PC (first time I tried to get into it) but subsequently on console. I have wrist damage and controllers are much less of a strain to use. The console version of POE has (had) a clumsy UI which always felt cumbersome to use. After starting POE three different times, I never got into it, rarely enjoyed the experience. Maybe POE 2 will be better for me and the way I play.
@@sols.2525 I wish all PC games had good controller support back when I still had a gaming rig. Too late now. Fingers crossed that POE 2 is more to my taste than POE 1. If the console UI experience is much improved, that will help a lot.
Welcome to POE, no damage numbers... and you know what.. you don't need them when a game is so good that you feel the upgrades in gameplay, even without the numbers showing.
Infinite map… its basically delve league but moved to maps for endgame and with specific biome/regions now. But hot dam its such a fresh change to end game!
From watching your videos PoE was always the better game to fit you playstyle. PoE2 is actually a bridge game, it is going to be way less complex than PoE was. It isn't going to replace D4, it might replace Last Epoch though. That games niche was a bridge between D4 and PoE and PoE2 is exactly the same thing.
I was playing d4 because nothing else really is the same but poe the more i look at it the more it looks really good for a free to play im switching over to it for at least a month ti check it out
i switched to POE in july and hvent looked back. and im just a casual brain. people worry about the passive tree but its not really hard, the crafting and everything is soo good, and in POE2 will be just as good. instead of getting 15% like in d4, you get added projectiles, more minions, stuff that actually improves your build not just a basic low stat bump
yeh agree. from d4. i love d4 for a month. but even poe 1 is like 10 games mesh into 1. agree as well, the gem stacking, theory crafting. the hidden secrets is just so deep. i’m glad i didn’t pay for vessel hatred as i was busy tinkering maps and crafting in poe 1. it’s quite a super easy choice for me to not buy the vessel of hatred and decided to buy an extra stash tab to craft stuff to sell for fun. 😂 also like giving away items on league start, was super fun and see all the chat league-rushing to maps. 🎉
@@eastcow you are the real mvp. ive seen some people giving away progenesis and stuff in global chat. i wish i wouldve gotten inot poe sooner. tbh. funniest thing ive seen in these comments is saying POE is p2w because of stash tabs. shit had me dying lol
The issue with lillith wasnt her mechanics, its that all of them were oneshots with crap hit boxes. And that same design has been applied to other bosses too where they just throw aoe clutter and shit at you so you cant see whats happening and 1 thing touches you and you die. Just simply not fun at all.
The question is though, how much of the game is going to be Pay To Win? I mean, D4 definitely has that issue as well, but is this going to just be like Diablo Immortal, where the wealthy IRL players are the ones having the most fun.
You can buy stashtabs with $$ but you cannot buy player power. Tabs are convenient but not neccesary. You should be able to buy enough tabs with the 300 points you get along with your early access key.
If you spend $30 on the supporter pack and spend the 300 coins on stash tabs you will have everything you need to never spend another dime in this game again. You can't buy items or currency, etc. If you don't want to spend money, you can totally play the game 100% for free when it comes out. At least up until late game, so for the whole campaign, you won't need to spend a single $. I've spent maybe $1500 in poe1, if you spent $0 in this game we would still have the same player power. And don't forget, stash tabs go on sale every 3 weeks or something so if you end up buying the $30 pack save the coins for stash tab week 😀
5876 hours on steam. I played PoE a bit one would say. PoE 2 looks immense. Can't wait but this time around with kids and stuff it's going to be casual as F...
8:35 because only or mostly probably like 95% that play D4 are casual dads (the rest are hardcore), and the devs are this exact archtype as well (casual noob dads), and that's why they adjust their games accordingly to something that is a joke like that change. Just the wrong casual "gamer" devs behind the game. they are not as hardcore and knowledgeable about what the game really needs and what their players want. They do change stuff to what players want, but They change their whole game in all aspects towards one group more than anything, every time. GGG has it balanced, there is always something for everyone, even the hardest of the hardest no lifers but then at the same time even that boss content for those "hardest no lifers" is still doable for casuals if they just sit down and play a bit more in a league but it''s still hard to achieve. blizzard fails to understand this and fumble it every time they change or nerf or "balance" something. Blizzard will never be good at balancing their classes, and that's what sets them up for failure with difficulty in their whole games. GGG's class "system" has endless possibilities and everything can be broken, that's the thing. D4 classes are like prefabricated ways you walk on and x and y class are just broken compared to other classes and then they go and try to nerf bosses instead to make them doable for everyone else on a casual noob level with no good gear instead of really balancing all classes to be on one linear line from where people have to go from and make them strong.
More chalangin Sure... But the need to make Boss rotations U can avoid, but Lilith Just was a Mashinegun Rotation where everything oneshots U... The need to make rotations, Player avoid and than have time to Attack.. but If U cant avoid and Attack in a fix rota its Just a Joke
Nice seeing Rob discovering POE. Compared to a shit game which is D4. We've been wanting the game to get better since S1. But they would rather give us bugs every month at the start of every season then they would only fix it after a few weeks when most of us are done. Then you add the duping since D4's launch which they never addressed and fixed. I'm a Diablo fanboy but the expansion has been the last straw for me. I will never ever give my money ever again to their company.

Poe builds you cant compare with d4 lol.poe has way more builds then d4.and poe items you cant copie paste 100% because items are all difirent.

@@sols.2525 Thx. I wonder where price is less than on other places?
To me it seems D4 devs donw know to make challenging but fair uber boss fights
i've never played poe, but i feel exactly the same as you. cant wait to try it out

Nice to see rob trying Poe 😊 welcome to you and all other D4 players that are craving more possibilities and endgame!
I am a Diablo fan, but i love how Path of Exile works and maybe better on POE2
Lilith was the worst fight ive seen in ARPG. Overlaping mechanics constantly, constant slow, 5 1 shot mechanics . Liith was not challenging she was anoying as hell.
Play better retard.
every 1shot mechanics is cheap one i dont know why they keep make them. insteand of instant kill maybe you have 1 hp left, u know like 2nd chance.
Poe1 was d2 successor. This is the real Diablo 3.
Both statements are pretty goofy. The game stands on its own without being compared to diablo. Ppl are obsessed with the comparison. Its exhausting.
Hence the basis for the continued comparisons.
i have to agree poe 1 is already the successor of d2. And poe 2 is more like diablo 3.
I have loved to explore your builds in D4, I cant wait to see what you can do with POE2 :)
Because it's a game which can keep you interested longer than 5 days. Playing D4 only for money must be fkin hard. No need to lie him and woodi still enjoy d4- I bet my house they don't
:D
As someone who has never played PoE, I'll be honest, yesterdays stream was overwhelming. There is so much content, which is a good thing, but I hope the learning curve isn't too hard.
One of my Diabros told me, D4 is catered more towards casuals, whereas on PoE you can be casual all the way to extremely sweaty and truly have a one of a kind build.
Lets learn together brother 😁
POE complexity is worry most people don't need, its like people who don't go to the gym because they are afraid they will look too big, sure it can happen but it most likely it wont happen on accident, at least not early, the tree is a good example, if you wanted to make a minion build, you can just grab every single minion stat and you will probably end up with something decent
@@marcodxd3631 Dogshit analagy.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see a whole bunch of nerfs and buffs during EA. That's why they do EA
@MystC909 this is the EA, expect big changes.
Jonathan literally says stuff like this in the podcast with DM and Ghazzy
During EA it doesn't count, but it also doesn't matter in POE anywhere near as much if something sucks or if something is broken, there's sooooo much that's viable, there's so many end games, you can play for years and never actually need to kill pinnacle bosses and still never run out of shit to do.
Super hyped for Poe2 , I have 4500h in Poe1 , 1500h in D3,500h in D4, about 2000h in D2. I've been playing on and off Poe1 since 2012 , took a few years off from 2015 to 2017 ,since then I've been playing almost every league. Even as a super bad player poe it's been my favorite arpg,I've only killed Maven last year and only got my first HH and MG 1 league ago
For me D3-D4 were a 14-20-30h turn brain off and do big dmg , gear well and done
The thing I'm super excited about is the bosses , they look amazing and I love the more souls like dodge, learn movement ,mechanics

Ngl that light radius on the bow at 5:02 brings back memories
The comment about the Lilith fight left me a bit confused 😅. Its easy because people find the builds to circumvent the actual mechanics of the fight and then don't want Blizzard to fix those builds. Obviously, if phase one is over within 0.1s because you nuke her, then there is no challenge.
I wonder if PoE2 will find a way to balance these fights without playing the "fun police" all the time!?
They typically dont do balance changes to characters after league start unless its a bug and very unbalanced. This likely doesnt apply to early access since the whole point is to rapidly improve things.
@RaWRpewpew "unless it's a bug or very unbalanced" - this describes basically every meta build in D4 so far ^^ ... and man how people cried when those builds where fixed -_-
@@flowqi212 i meant to say unbalanced and a bug :P. Getting your character nerfed during a season/league sucks so that rarely happens.

Even D4... Blizzard has 0 respect for their players. Being pigeon-holed into playing a single class to do everything in S6 is completely disrespectful. If you wanted to do pit 150, SB. When there’s a bug that makes everything else better, they fix it. Basically, they don’t want you to have fun.

Please tell me the skill and movement speed is faster than what they showed us. Talking the speed of D4 and Torchlight Infinite as an example

I played 1400hours diablo 4 , but now i feel there is now endgame content , i really wait poe 2
Will our purchased cosmetics and stash be transferred automatically to PoE2 or do we need to buy the early access?
Yes to both. You need to buy early access to play, (unless you're over the $480 spending threshold to get a free key) but all your MTX will transfer from PoE 1 in both the early access and the full game.

( like a 20% early access game.)
and i did thinks i probably won’t be paying for early since it’s kinda just 20% of game.
but after the the announcement it was basically 80% full game and 20% left act4 to act6 to be added.
which makes me excited n shocked. n bought the key for it. as well , from poe 1 experience, 90% of the game is really in the end game actually. 🎉❤

Rob realizing that he won’t be able to pay the bills anymore if he sticks to D4 content creation 😅
Rob its time... Convince Elon Musk to play PoE 2 with you!
