Andromeda is the better fighter imo. It has the snub, 2 good anti-light craft turrets plus can take a vehicle/another snub in the cargo. The Starrunner is faster and has a really cool design, but it is more cargo and data running focused ,over the Connies anti light fighter/freighter roll.
Agree with the others... definitely the Andromeda for its utility, firepower (even for a solo pilot), and its iconic look. That's not to say the MSR is bad, I still love that ship... but I use it too transport my ROC, or now the Fury... and in the future for data running.
Glad you enjoyed! I thought this was a pretty cool combination. I will say, getting the Fury on and off the lift proved quite challenging, and the camera freaked out a bit. The issue is the Fury takes off so fast, so it is tough too make subtle adjustments.
When on landing approch in the furry to any carrier. Keep the landing gear up until you are ready to finize your landing position. Having the gear down will pull you towards the pad. While having the gear up with the wings in lets you position the ship exactly where you want it. Then when ready to finilize your position, put the gear down.
Isn’t it funny that with a 4090 all we notice is how poorly optimized this game is? Even with one of these gpu’s we’re still limited to 40-60 fps in cities. 30-40 since they added clouds.
Lol walks into merlin area..."Wait this isn't the bridge" I just got the andromeda tonight. Upgraded from a cutlass. Really like it so far.
What would you say is overall the better ship andromeda or mercury? Thinking about upgrading from cutlass
Andromeda

andromeda + archimedes + fury = heck of a fire power ! with blades or npc's on the andromeda ...you do the math. thanks for the vid !

Yeah it is so CPU dependent, and so unoptimized! Still I am glad it allows me to finally play the game smoothly, relatively speaking!
@@Xenopotamus I’d be interested one day if you have time to compare benchmarks. I am running the infamous 7800x3d.
