My favourite part about the strive ost is that the matches are only 2 mins but most songs run until at least 5. Mans had no chill and was just out to make bangers

Guilty gear strive songs can all be described as "third hearing wonders".
They always go from "i don't think I like this" to "guess I'll give another chance" and finally "I'm gonna destroy my own vocal cords with this song"
Fr. I hated potemkin's theme, but then I decided to give him a try gamely wise, and after hearing armor clad faith for hours in training it is probably in my top 5
I started out liking like 25% of the soundtrack, but now the whole thing is on my playlist, except jack-o's theme, but thats growing on me too
Strives soundtrack had no reason to slap as hard as it does, but it fucking feels like liquid crack in my veins whenever I listen to it.

strives sound track did not slap as hard as past games. only a handful of songs were very good. compared to say GGXX and GGXRD where EVERY song was a banger. also potemkins theme was mad as good as it is, because he was one of the past characters who didnt really have a theme, it was more or less just noise.
Gonna respectfully disagree with you there. Imo xrd's non-vocal stuff was more of a low-point for the series than strive's soundtrack. It just kinda blended together because the style was, at least for the most part, kinda samey. I still love the xrd OST, but I don't think it's as consistently good as both strive and older stuff like gg2 and ggx.
Edit: also, don't disrespect burly heart and in slave's glory like that.
@@maaxorus Yeah TBH Xrd has some weak themes. XX and Strive definitely pop out to me more, especially Burly Heart. Engage (Potemkin's XRD theme) isn't good
