Personally. After the 3rd one with its epic scale and fairly conclusive ending the other 2 werent needed. But they aren't bad. Well maybe stranger tides is. Didn't really care for that one
In the Kraken's attack on the Black Pearl you put 16 kills (which were clearly seen on camera) but Jack had to recruit 100 men, you also see one die who was already part of Jack's crew. So in that attack 101 died, and the number of deaths in the entire saga would be 687.
Curiously, Jack only did 2 direct kills. The first is the crow that pecks the grave and the second is Blackbeard. I know he killed Barbossa, but they revived him.
Here is my ranking of the series 4. Dead Men Tell No Tales: Not a bad film, but not the best 3. On Stranger Tides: A great film, with few flaws but the original trilogy are just better 2. At Worlds End: A fantastic ending to the trilogy, and a great ending to the Turner and Swan storyline 1. Curse of the Black Pearl and Dead Man's Chest: I cant put either one ahead of each other, 2 of my favourite films of all time
Barbossa's death is easily the most memorable event in this franchise but the lines "You are the worst pirate I've ever heard" "But you have heard of me" is easily the most memorable

To think, Johnny Depp single handedly created the most iconic pirate character of the modern age on a whim. He was so deep into the role he stayed in character long after the cameras had been turned off. Executives initially screamed at the director that "He's ruining the damn movie!" but honestly, this series wouldn't have been captivating if the lead was just a boring slate.
I grew up with this series, though I blame my mom for that. To put in an analogy, I'd say it's like a roller coaster. First time is great, full of fun and suspense. Second time, still tons of fun, but a bit toned down because you've tasted it before. Third time is still fun, but you want something a bit new. Fourth time, it gets more tiring, and so on after that. Not to dis the films (they're great), they come up with great ideas for each one, but the repetitive gags can get old along with the millions of plot holes for the sake of new adventures. Fantastic kills in the series, too! So many I cannot list 'em all! Though the Kracken pulling a pirate through a tiny hole, the eel-pirate chomping someone's face off, getting crushed by a cannon, the death by cannon fire on both sides, it's all great!
I can’t believe that the first movie was released in 2003. Time runs very fast ! Not my favorite franchise but still a nice entertainment. My ideas : Lemora : A Child’s Tale of the Supernatural(1973), Class of 1999(1990), Arlington Road(1997), Sucker(1998), Ricochet(1990), Basic Instinct(1992), What Lies Beneath(2000), The Car(1977), The Terminator franchise(1984-2015) and US Marshals(1998).
And lastly 14:16 A first rate ship of the line like the Endeavour could easily hold around 1000 crew members and needs at least 500 to be able to sail effectively
