Didn't you still have to cross the stream when you went upstream on the scramble? I didn't see that. I can understand why the PCTA doesn't recommend this. Besides the fact that you're going off trail, it also looks pretty dangerous.
Definitely against what PCTA guidelines. The amount of damage caused by everyone this year is epic, won’t be the same. Please follow the guide and exit bishop and return Paiute Pass and don’t follow this example.
I cringe when I hear people outraged over a minor disturbance in the native habitat. People treat the backcountry with more respect than their kids. Obviously we should try our best to preserve our country’s forests and wildlife, but sometimes it can be taken too far.
Oh please. It was just a rock scramble. They didn't hurt anything. The PCTA guidelines are dumb. The impact of a 2 hour rock scramble is less then the impact of a stupid 2 day detour that doesn't even connect up. They had the proper permit. They had the right to be there.
You guys are awesome! You’re taking care of some serious business!
Thank you for taking us along. I like the idea of no time crunch. Just hike your hike.
Yeah, that looks wild! Glad you made it through safe and sound.
You guys are the first ones I have seen try the go around. Good job🎉❤
Glad you’re safe in the Widerness 😊
I like seeing your videos on a big screen. Looks so awesome!!
Great views at the top. If you have to take a detour, that was the best chose. 😎👍
Kudos, kudos kudos for doing the bypass, So many hikers do the road walk and I personally think it sucks.
Interesting

Good job on a tough day.

@@ashertrestman241 I cringe when I hear people defend others going AGAINST THE RULES in a national park. Only a silly clown would do that.

Opinions versus Research. Not my definition of Dumb, but I guess the desire to be Right is strong.
