Illustrator has the best UI and cleanest one in the suite considering its functionality. I have to admit I kinda love Adobe products but they should give free licenses for nonproffesionals the same way Autodesk does. Speaking of which Adobe really needs to add a full fledged 3d program to their suite with some decent modeling capabilities and not only visualization like that Adobe Dimension. I would not use anything else than Adobe then.
Orphydian▪History Adobe is real nice but yeah, the subscription kinda sucks. Although I’m glad I do have Audition, After Effects and Illustrator since they are really powerful and easy to use.
@@ArchaiaHistoria at least for that monthly fee Adobe delivers some neat new features with every update unlike Autodesk or some open source programs that are unchanged in years.
Roughly how long does one of these take you? Most history videos focus exclusively on the Romans, so thanks for teaching me something new. It's also great to see some melb/aus representation on youtube!
This one took me about 3 hours from start to finish, they usually take that long if I shade them and colour them. Glad you’re learning something new about Greek history! I honestly didn’t know most of this stuff before I stared this channel. Also if you wanted more Aussie representation check out Suibhne and Feature History, they’re both in the area too!
I used a free open source map Illustrator file that I found online. This gave me just the outline of Greece and the Adriatic along with some rivers. Then I just did tons of research to find all the states of Greece and their rough borders (hence why I kept adding more between episodes). Then I wasn’t so happy with how impossible it was to tell why some movements were made, towns conquered and alliances forged without the geography. So I studied satellite maps, juxtaposed topography maps to get just the rough topography done. Now I just make some small changes here and there as I research for my videos.
Now that I’ve learned your secrets i shall use these methods to conquer the world.

Wow! Considering the time compression, that's a lot of work! True dedication to your craft, something to be admired by all thoughtful people.

Sorry if this is jarring as all with the constant zooms, but this is about 3 hours condensed into 10 minutes
