I genuinely don’t understand why Sketch is getting so much hate. So what it turns out that he’s gay? Who cares? Homophobia being rampant in 2024 is wild. @@DanHosler I don't think the current FaZe dudes are D-Bags. Generally the culture around gaming has been toxic in a lot of ways. Doesn't excuse any behavior that could be seen as D-Bag behavior, but I think it's important to remember that it's a culture that they've been a part of for almost 20 years, and it's easy to get caught up or lost in that culture. @@kenshugo Sketch is huge figure in the sports community (which isn’t a notoriously open-minded group of people), so much so that actual athletes follow him on multiple platforms. Gay or not, it’s understandable that he’d feel the need to apologize for his past. His video is actually inspirational. He had the whole world on his ass. Everyone coming at him and he went up and owned it. Came straight with no bullshit. I left that video having the upmost respect for him. Not many people can do what he just did. Love you sketch 💙
I really needed to see this. As someone who is dealing with addiction currently in recovery on the verge of losing my career in the railroad. So much progress to still make and things to bring to the light in my life. Thank you.
I've seen Sketch around, genuinely one of the nicest if not the nicest streamer i've met so far. I watched him stop what he's doing to spend 30 minutes taking selfies straight with fans and more time but in between of what he was doing. This was off camera as well. I hope he is doing well and truly hope he reaches out after seeing this video. I saw the post of the message that saved him. He left his valuables and all his stuff at the house he stayed in or something with his roomates. So I am grateful to know that someone had reached out to Sketch before he would've done something we all thought would never happen.
This comment is disingenuous and I will tell you why. Being a fan of someone is not unconditional. If you support someone not knowing all the information of what they do or who they are behind closed doors or when the camera is off, then you’re a fan under somewhat false pretenses. When presented with new information, fans are allowed to change their mind about how they feel about that celebrity or influencer or whatever you want to refer to them as. Supporting someone is not unconditional. Begruding teenage football gamer fans because they are disappointed that their favorite twitch streamer is a deviant sex worker on the Internet is not fair or proper. Keep in mind, Sketch made these life choices. None of his fans for the last two years had any awareness of his proclivities that were reprehensible.
Ha! I was thinking the same thing. To me this guy is just a funny mf that I see sometimes when I’m scrolling through on my phone. His situation is something I’m not even thinking about.
My heart was in pieces for Sketch. I'm just glad he had the wherewithal to realize he did nothing wrong. Seeing so many people come to his side was very heartwarming.
I really do feel like this was a miracle that sketch was at the FaZe house with Banks at the time this outbroke on twitter. I'm so glad Banks was there for him.
True i been sayin this if this was any other normal day with him at home in houston we would be reading a article about a twitch streamer being found with self inflicted gunshot wounds
Thank god he was with the FaZe guys the night this all came out. Without them it really sounds like we wouldn't be able to celebrate his strength in owning up to all of this. He's truly a one of a kind person. We love you Sketch.
1st video I’ve seen of yours, and I’m likely to binge for hours. You bringing compassion and safety can help so many. Been in therapy for 6 ish years and it’s changed my life for the positive
I don't care what he did in his past. It wasn't illegal. I care about who he is today. He's kind, respectful, funny, and (hopefully) sober. So many kudos just for that. I am glad he had people ready to show him love in the time he needed it most.
So many people are failing to see that just because Sketch had good people around to support him during this, that doesn't mean that all of his suicidal thoughts are just gone. Things like this will stay in a persons thoughts, and will really weigh them down. If any of you are religious, or even if you're not, please consider keeping Sketch in your thoughts and prayers. He's a good guy who made some decisions he regrets. I don't think there's anything wrong with what he did, and I don't think Sketch meant that being gay is a bad thing when he said "I fucked up." I think he legitimately regrets ever posting those intimate things online. It has been wild to watch Sketch receive more hate for being gay than certain other streamer(s) who have been exposed for predatorial activity. Everyone is deserves to be listened to, loved, and respected. Everyone makes mistakes. Be kind to each other.

my grandmother also tells me suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. i told one of my friend that when hes was suicidal and it literally help him not end it all.
I think it's less about what you say, and more so just being there. If someone has reached that point, it's hard to logic your way out of an emotional situation. But knowing there are people with you that want you here, and are willing to try and figure things out with you is immensely relieving.
When his character broke thanking the people it just brings tears to me. So sad but so proud of him for conquering this very difficult situation on the internet that millions will see. Wishing him a bright future where he can just be himself unapologetically.
I can't imagine going through that while being in the public eye. I knew I was gay at a very young age. Was suicidal pretty much K-12. Sexually assaulted multiple times in elementary school. Then it happened again when I was 14, and the person (who was 20 at the time) proceeded to stalk me off and on for YEARS. Grew up visiting my mom in the psyche ward. She overdosed multiple times in front of me when I was a kid. Fell deep into my own drug addiction at 14. I got clean at 21, thankfully. Since then, I've just been coasting.. I spend a lot of time in isolation. It's hard to break from that. Not truly living. I've felt numb most of my life now. I just recently started seeing someone for ptsd which was something that never crossed my mind until I started having panic attacks the last few years. I'm not sure where it goes from here. Still numb, and it's like a knot in my mind that I can't untie. It breaks my heart to see people out him like that. Hurt people hurt people I guess..
Love the reaction Tom. I hadn't been a real bug Sketch fan either, but it's veen devastating seeinf what this man's been going through. Im so proud of sketch man and it gives me hope to see how faze reacted to the situation, I hope this can be an example in the future for how to help people in these situations
If it's on the internet, people will find that it doesn't matter if it's 100 years from now or 2 years from now; it's only a matter of time. That's why we should all aim to have a good image in person and on the internet and think twice about what we create and publish. Things you put out can make you or break you, and when they break you, you may never be able to stand back up with a smile on your face.
This is the message people should take away from this situation, instead it's "Dude there's nothing at all wrong with creating and selling gai porn on the internet as a young man"
We almost lost a handsome man with so much to offer in the world and all of us are forever grateful he’s living now. Man im just glad hes still here. I dont even cry for myself very often but that messed me up when he said he could have not been here. Its so messed up man. I just related to that a lot. Sketch is strong. Love you Sketch
I know you probably didn’t mean it this way, but thinking like that in this situation could be viewed as a subtle insult to Sketch. From what I gathered, he was in a really rough patch at the time, battling addictions, and made some choices he now regrets. In his view, what he did was wrong, and I think it’s important to respect his perspective. He mentioned that he’s a changed man and doesn’t want to repeat those actions. Saying he didn’t do anything wrong can come across as ignoring the struggles he faced and the growth he’s experienced since then.
@@JoeBurner1720 he’s not on public trial right now for addiction though. He’s being crucified for having an Only Fans, specifically for it allegedly being gay. @@JoeBurner1720 I get what you're saying but just because he views it as wrong doesn't give people the right to act like he committed a serious crime which I see a lot of people doing
I cannot believe that in 2024 this poor guy is having to apologize when he did nothing wrong. The way we treat sex work, and even just people being queer is still so hurtful.
He himself feels like he did something wrong. It was an addiction and he was getting taken advantage of. You’re the sick one for acting like what was happening was just “normal.” I’m guessing you haven’t seen all of what was leaked.
@@AyyChiveyHe ain't comparing them. Just saying people stigmatize people who do sex work and they also stigmatize people who are LGBTQ. This situation round this person just happens to combine them both
@UnderworldGardening that is a comparison. It suggests sex work shouldn't be stigmatized. It absolutely should be. The negative consequences always out weigh the positives. If all you care about is yourself, go for it. Money can't replace dignity.
I will say this as a massive support to sketch and to keep his head up and keep it rolling as it were. There has been many people in this world that have had addiction issues and have done whatever it took to get money for those addictions. A Prime example that sketch can look up to and know that life gets better after that would be Brandon Novak and his addiction story of what he did to get his fixes. What sketch did for him to get money was his situation that was similar to brandon which was to sell his body for his addictions. So Sketch has nothing to be ashamed for because addiction is terrible and it will make you do things that many people would find disgusting but I love that sketch has rehabilated himself and moved on from that just like Brandon did and living a wonderful life. (P.S.: This is how I interpreted that time in his life because he said he had addiction issues and I figured he was needing money for those addictions. If I am partially wrong then please correct me. :).
If God forgives so can I, I think took tremendous courage to just lay it all out there and own up to it. What pisses me off is how many creators are milking this for clout.(not this channel this is good)

honestly the majority of the reactions to this sad situation has restored some of my faith for the online world, I'm glad everyone is taking it as serious as self harm/suicide should be treated. I'm glad sketch had people around him that day that seemed to truly care about him and his well being.
Thank God sketch is still here. I hope he heals and moves forward.
I genuinely don’t understand why Sketch is getting so much hate. So what it turns out that he’s gay? Who cares? Homophobia being rampant in 2024 is wild. I can’t imagine being so cruel to someone over something like being gay that they genuinely consider ending their own life. With the amount of backlash he’s receiving you would think he did something harmful. Mental health matters and I genuinely hope Sketch gets the help he needs.
I'm finding the ones that disgaree are having their comments removed. So you really won't find any pushback outside kids gloves and walking around eggshells with the censorship. There are multiple things wrong with what he did, sadly the only place that won't censor me is something like Kiwifarms.

The FaZe guys might be D-Bags but at their core they're good people
@@DanHosler I don't think the current FaZe dudes are D-Bags. Generally the culture around gaming has been toxic in a lot of ways. Doesn't excuse any behavior that could be seen as D-Bag behavior, but I think it's important to remember that it's a culture that they've been a part of for almost 20 years, and it's easy to get caught up or lost in that culture.
If Sketch hadn't been with the FaZe guys the night this came out, there's a real chance we would be mourning instead of celebrating the courage and strength Sketch showed by saying all of this on stream.
Banks and the rest of 'em have officially earned their places in heaven man.
current faze are the furthest thing from dbags. they are just kids having fun and being themselves, especially ron and lacy are probably the two of the realest streamers in a while (who are not a complete asshole inside like sneako or bruce). as of banks you could tell he changed and matured a lot since the beginning of the new faze, this is the best outcome u could have from a rebrand

It's a shame he lost fans because of this, but it's also a good thing because they clearly weren't real fans to begin with
I promise he gained more fans from this, than lost them.
He lost fans, but gained some really good and valuable fans as well that will likely stick by him.

While In reality, they are incredible and deserve great things and healing just as much as anyone else.
@roogle3878 it's true you end up hating yourself for something that was done to you and I could probably understand that maybe gay people feel the same way if they are growing up around their friends who they have to act completely masculine and date girls I think it's probably the same way.. I cannot Determine Whether or not I was born With these feelings but I know what happened to me and I know the feeling it's shame..
@@roogle3878 ❤️😊
@@roogle3878 getting a little personal I didn't even have it that bad the person that did stuff to me was my best friend who was around 7 when I was four it was never a bad feeling maybe that's the reason I feel the way I feel like a friendship type of thing??. I am blessed In that situation To where it just felt like fooling around and not being degraded but I still felt My heart goes out to anybody who has suffered Worse than me Because It is not easy to deal with...
Suicide doesn't end the pain it just passes it on to those who love you.
You guys can hate him or love him I don’t care no one absolutely no one deserves to want to kill them selves as last resort
Unless you have a terminal illness of course
@@bettinggetter they deserve to be suicidal?
@Sjsjjsjdjdjdjjsjs people with no hope deserve peace, this is not a particularly controversial opinion
We love Sketch and I hope he reaches out ❤ I love you sketch your a good dude ! The past is the past
I can't understand people who worry about what's going on in someone else's bedroom. Sketch is still the same dude they were laughing at before the news dropped. They're treating him like he committed a crime, and the fact this is getting more negative publicity than the Drdisrespect situation is appalling to me. We stand with Sketch all the way.✊️
I'm going on 3 years sober and seeing this video made me so emotional. People need to take a step back and really think about the shit they have done in their past and what they would do if millions of people knew and posted it all over the internet. Love you Sketch God is good always ❤
Can you react to jynxzi reaction to this please
When I first watched this, I became such a huge sketch fan. I don't think I have ever seen an "influencer" be so open and honest about a past secret. We all have them, they just look different.
I've also seen a lot of people say "well he never hurt anyone, so what do I care." But the sad reality is, a lot of people have dark secrets about how they've hurt people, and we need to all be strong enough to love and support without delusion even those people. I think sketch is starting a conversation that everyone needs to have.
The what reacts???? 😨
He shout out Ricky aka Banks..
There were times back in the day banks was always the homie on the 360.
That you come home sad.. he'd be like fk what ppl think about you and just be you..
people love you and if ignore the hate though its hard, youll overcome it.
Ricky has always been a wellrounded down to earth guy. Yes, we were all toxic but he was always there for you.. friend or not.
The fact that Tom is talking about this is crazy. 😂
no, i think its what his channel is meant for, to help people on the internet who are suicidal, having bad thoughts or have been going thru stuff. and i'd really love to see a meeting of him and sketch talking and getting out of it
not really ... its the whole point of his channel
@@dylanrosenberg8664 I just meant it as news spread fast. I was also surprised by how dark of a topic this was.
