This video, commentaries and suggestions where awesome. I know some things where patched. But still good and funny to hear. How about ITEMIZATION for the different picks we have? That would be the video that everyone needs.
Just completed Grand Magus for the first time with this. Most of the tips still hold up, don't listen to the whiners who say the patch ruined it. Excited to make you sit through replays to make the speed run tactics video.
Can viper still damage without aggro? Patch notes specifically say they fixed that.
Protip for traps : For hidden buttons solution, change your graphics to low and untick grass option. The grass disappears and buttons are visible

It is one hour long and I do appreciate it, even though the patch changed many things It does not change the general approach you need when facing those rooms, also the way you explained it is not only entertaining but actually also has really good tips. If I wanted an always up to date guide I would rather read a speedrun guide on a wiki. Keep up the good work. Had a good time with the video.

GG slacks was a fun time watching back the replay i made so many little mistakes during the final fight lol. That was a pretty dream run for me got aoe viper strike and cast on allies for the heal movespeed.
grats for the viper highlight on the end. What advantages does fallen sky do? I see that you have 550 movespeed already and can outrun everything. I prefer cooldown item neutral items like prism if there is any to cast more url and nether at the end.

Yeah, especially that sweet +32 movement speed on elite rooms.
its actually the other way around the last boss is the easy part, getting to it is hard when you go in random legion room and they have bkb blade mail and surge

That actually wasn't hard with a competent team, just ignore whatever has already spawned and stop every single other morph from spawning. it was actually pretty easy to me unless they spawned with BKB >_>

Im only at sorc but on my 4 last boss run still can't beat it, maybe playing with someone you know is easier

If you can't solo the boss then the issue is you. The pattern never changes and he's easy to deal with alone.

Ursa's strength is getting a 100% up-time team-wide enrage. You certainly don't get it every game, but when you do it's almost a free win.
Edit: also concealed + the talent that makes enrage spam earthshock and you can solo aghanim without him even casting a single spell
For the toads, best strategy is to minimize time wasted through turn rate and cool down so just press your q max duration (or if you're hardcore find out the cd to time it perfectly) and just keep jumping straight forward, only start turning for places with money piles when you're almost at the other end, that's the best you can do

Suggestions:
1) All the top runs have a Tusk -- maybe look into why.
2) Early game items: 1 Deso, 1 Medallion & Veil, 2x MoM & Crystalis seems pretty standard.
3) Skill trees: essential skills for meta heroes. Elite players won't need this advice but normies looking to improve will.
4) Fragment skill trees: All the top squads skill the same: Strength up to Death Explosion, Agi up to Damage per Level or movement speed, Intel up to magic resistance. Also the Death Explosion cheese on rooms like Lifestealer/Grim
5) BKB over Euls for last room - Edit: maybe?
5b) Movespeed minimum for last room to outrun lasers -- seems to be about 390? I don't see a lot of forcestaffs/pikes -- I do see a lot of ms buffs and SNY/SNK. Alternately, the BKB/lifesteal "stand your ground" approach.
5. euls, i never used bkb even once. BKB takes 70 secs for CD, while euls is faster.
5b. I generally do 550 movespeed, I always buy boots of speed 2 with sny/snk and euls plus movespeed talent, heart also, just to be save.
Top Silthbreaker runs always had Blademail and Carapace, but these were speedruns that were not relevant to 99% of players. Copying speedrun meta is rarely the right choice.
Yeah I think also all the top runs stack BKB and lifesteals.

@@later5117 Silthbreaker speedruns required some cheese like all players disconnecting, getting 4 portal scrolls and giving them to one player. Good luck convincing random players to do this.
Aghanim Labyrinth speedruns have less cheese, but still require team coordination, 0 mistakes and possibility to restart the game if the first level doesn't work. Again, try to convince randoms to restart the game after the first 2 levels didn't work.
1 tip get weaver bugs to 0.1 attack frequency, it just melts anyone and if you have bug bug boom, you can deal about 7-20k damage depending on the duration/attacks to kill/armor reduction, grand magus against weaver with 0.1, is your game winninng card, it makes any impossible room a piece of cake, also if you happen to get the bugs heal, bug a damn octarine, use bugs on your friendos and monsters ofc and you can survive anything even the laser, but still gets one shot from the fyling shards, you heal for soo much that you negate any damage and just stand your ground, the armor reduction can go up to-60 or -100 if you are lucky which means bosses are just tomato boys

1.Viper Aggro
2. Heart taking to another room
3. Chest/item Despawn in finishing trap room

#1 still works in some room i.e jumping bats, tiny and io and maybe others. #2 still works in some room .
Badland bandits are somewhat manageable with lots of high dps heroes that can kill the guys that shoot arrows and kill the pillars asap when they spawn, it's kinda similar to the other pillar rooms in that you need to kill the pillars asap but you don't have the backup of running in circles which makes it impossible with the wrong team comp.
Make the elite guide for sure daddy this is excellent content.

Unfortunately, a lot of the tips here are obsolete as of last night because they patched a lot of the instances where you could cheese rooms by aggro-ing enemies one at a time (viper in particular). Mainly, I'm curious about item builds and hero choices which are gone over in the first few minutes. Still a helpful video, just don't know if it was worth putting a full hour into this when the strats are so temporary.
Not to mention you can't leave the chests in the maze rooms anymore, they despawn after you complete the maze.
Well not at all, Viper can still solo the last boss and you still KITE all the time so this seems legit theres just no cheesing (for eg you cant Nethertoxin Huskars and Dazzles anymore but any other unit in the room) anymore and theres no picking up chests after you complete trap rooms thats pretty much it. The good heroes still remain the same (WW Viper). I think it's pretty unfitting (not to say stupid) to pick the heroes that got picked in the world fastest run. They restarted the run over and over til they got the proper shards to carry sniper and Weaver (the Tagteam heal shard is crucial for this) and this is NOT how you would pug this ever. Still i see only sniper and tusk picks in pugs and get snowballed into stupid stuff or shard blocked and we all die (TUSK is a BAD HERO or melees in general, they dont do much at the last boss on "Sorcerer" or "Grand Magus" if you dont go for that exact combo with that shard same with Sniper) which is pretty much toxic for pugs. Dont go for anything they went in the world's fastest run THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN in a pug.
@@BOBTHEBERT And even lives and items dropped from chest will disappear if you open the chests without taking loot. Was a pain to see 2 lives disappear on grand magus... Those fucking patches,as if labyrinth was easy.

For the corridor of chaos on the last part, you can wait for the moment they all hit the plates and huge the left wall really quickly to get through

there is one guy who carried me at labyrinyh before when first time the game was released, but not grand magus difficulty just on the magician. what he did was 2 bm 2 heart then when the last boss do the laser thingy. he rage , bm and stand on the fire. it deals a lot of damage.
For morphoing room need the right Crowd clear comp and to immediately take the middle you’ll get rid of the big towers that way. So many teams sit in the corner and get overwhelmed please stop doing that. The corner strat works very well in lots of scenarios just not this one. Also the slacks circle is must know. Good guide even outdated.

I main Ursa in this mode. Just get satanic desolater and Daedalus and you’re gtg. Basically you just run around until he sucks ya with his spell steal. But support from Omni is great. You can actually fight every main boss with Enrage and Satanic on.
I just finished level 3 with magnus, sniper, wyvern and disruptor.
wyvern is terrible player. but sniper build moon shard, daedalus, mask of madness, power thread, bkb, mkb and ex machina for neutral.
while magnus just spamming skill 1 and empower the whole team, and keep using eul scepter to prevent it from skill blocked.

Pretty sure I got Splitting Hairs once. I don't remember the room but I'm pretty sure it was more of the giant swinging axes.

Magnus RP can remove aghanim's shards instantly. Hope they dont fix this.
Other than that, if you build up his RP's stun duration and get Dematerialization, your entire team can deal 300% crits for the duration.
here is a neat trick disruptor's glimps cancels timbersaws big ult but it takes a sec so dont try this if he already started hes ult

My grand magus run was cut short by my teammates leeroy jenkins-ing the lv16 spider room while they had pyromaniac. Needless to say, we got our asses dragged by basically spider-batriders from hell. That was going to be the run too, we all had near perfect talents
again right after some balancing changes.

in the defene of the melee heroes , the jump down is relativly easy to dodge, rassle dazle can be avoided tho extreamly dangerous.
Tho if you go with melee better be like fucking amezing
If you get Spears burning ground and explosion boosts you can do quite significant damage with spears around 2K-3K aoe dmg per spear( tho be ready to not usem if you get specter room ro legion commander room doe to reflect
its fun to get beatmaster modifier where the whirling axes oneshot any of the nontanks

Shame patch fixes quite a few of tips... but Corridor of chaos Last bit did it by waiting for all swings coming from the bottom, wait until all hit the middle plate and run as soon as it does. work pretty much every time for me and my group. Splitting hairs is probably my worst traps room... :L

I agree ursa is bad but ursa has a lot of utility if you take some Q talents for stuns hes great peel, also enrage on team and the ability to give the carries overpower is nice

to prove you wrong, you can build magnus as DPS. magic dps, his best build. enjoy 4k damage per shockwave at long range. and hes the best kiter by far. hes basically the best spellcaster of the mode

before they changed big game hunter, it was too good, we grinded 200 agility on our sniper in the shadow shaman/treant room and we won grand magus, he hit like a fucking truck

omniknight purges shackles and dismember with 2nd skill

Guys! just want to ask on how can i purchase skill upgrade on bristle back side shop, i cant see it.. Its always life potions and neuts item..
Go to the regular shop that sells items and on the top right change the shop interface, then when you open the bristle shop it should work

To be honest Mars is good to carry this mode. Trust me I won 5 times on apex mage or lvl 5 with my teammate died earlier I carry them to win the game. It's depends on your built. And also I won more than 30 games with Mars on grand magus

Phoenix room is the only one that can't be won if you are the last surviving person, while other rooms like ghosts rooms are possible. The viper range trick doesn't always work, mobs sometimes get aggroed (for example, Huskars in Jungle Hijinx always run to the attacker no matter where they are).
you can win phoenix room solo. you just kill phoenixes fast, they are not tanky. But spiders room you can only win with omniknight and right talents because there's no way to dodge spider with lasso. And after he catches you, you won't be able to do anything for a long time

@@NarTVipeR ok, turns out it is possible to hit and run phoenixes if there are a few of them left. They always return to their initial position after getting aggro. So this depends on how many phoenixes are left. While spiders can be soloed slowly by WW with 1 ult per spider.

Is there a timestamp for item builds? I see tanks usually want to go Vlads/Solar Crest/AC, Weaver always wants Deso, casters do Octarina/Kaya&Yasha, sniper physical dps build is MoM/MkB/Daedalus/MoonShard but what about WW? Slacks say strongest but I never see clear WW build... sometimes I see Bloodthorne but sometimes I see pro rush damage like sniper, but you can't do MoM cause you want to be able to cast quick if emergency? I see some do mjolnir. Siractionslacks what is WW optimal build?
i completed grand magus with WW . item build was . Phase boots , mkb , moon shard , octarine , daedalus , bkb , euls , consumed a moonshard and later sold the phase boots and got a force boots in neutral. Match id : 5542567083 if you want to have a look.
