@@azergonsgaming4875 Considering the godslayer dash as a failsafe is interesting... Admittedly on infernum Yharon does dash faster than you, which is why I tried him a couple of times with the leviathan ambergris or whatever it's called. Personally I would consider the silva armour revive (or whatever it does, I don't think I've ever actually used it) as the failsafe.

I tried playing master mode summoner calamity and I couldn't beat the worm because I was used to having the obsidian gear before it by beating the segments
@@NotSnakThere's a mod called Assorted Crazy Things which adds a boss called the Soul Harvester. (Might've misremembered the name but not really important) In the dungeon near the top you'll Find this empty room with a cage in it and a special chest nearby, inside the special chest is a key to the cage and once you open the cage it spawns the mini-soul harvester. The mini-SH is unkillable (but not hostile either), will follow you around and cause dungeon enemies to drop souls which mini-SH will eat, once it eats enough souls it will become the boss form and attack you. If you die while fighting the Soul Harvester then every time you enter the dungeon it will reappear on its mini form and you'll have to feed it again. But once you beat the Soul Harvester boss, it drops a reusable summon item (among other things) allowing you to summon it instantly and the mini-SH will not show up again when you enter the dungeon. Having a special way to summon the boss is cool the first time but really tedious afterwards, so give the boss drop a summoning item when killed, is this a good compromise?
@@NotSnak calamity has a sirplus of bosses, many of which you fight one after the other which can feel like its just make summon item beat boss make next one beat next boss. Its not a problem at all in vanilla terraria bc there's 1. less bosses overall and 2. many bosses that are also summoned in different ways such as plantera and moon lord. Summon items can be convenient but I think having like yharon who is a climactic boss just be summoned with a item takes away from the cinematic aspects of his fight. Not saying remove them entirely but maybe have certain bosses have unique ways of summoning them
@Arkycite Fabsol only deals with bosses. Plus, melee will certainly get new armor sets to substitute for the older ones. Besides armor progression in Calamity is pretty fucked up post-ML.
I don't like the removal of the global armors, it made progression easy to understand, balanced, and easy to explain to any new player, but at least the new sprites look really nice
i dont play calamity but i know the godslayer armour gives you a dash, which sounds beneficial for dodging, especially as melee, where with the majority of your weapons, you'll need to stay close to enemies (except boomerangs like the Zenith)
@@How2live0 im aware of that, i have played a bit of calamity now i was simply saying, a large amount of melee weapons still need you to stay somewhat close (what you'd call "true melee" ofc)
godslayer isnt that good lol even as melee i use silva armour for yharon because the revival is just too over powered to not use then i just switch to omega blue because it does more damage and has an actual good ability unlike godslayer
i love the idea of making more class-exclusive armors i just hope they won't go a bit too far and make some classes really hard at specific stages of the game
thats because solar armor is legitimately better than every armor set pre-DoG and is on par with godslayer/silva. and it doesn't really need the phm or hm support since vanilla armor sets do a good enough job

Idk if anyone else noticed but this seems like Triangle’s style for the armor. Triangle being a guy with pretty popular armor resprite pack for Terraria. Idk it’s really really similar
Making some of the sets class specific will help a lot with item classes having a lot of sets that just arent very useful. Like the fact is Molten armor is just the best set pre-hardmode and aerospec does nothing valuable for us. But the solution really isn't to make stronger armors. If anything I would lock molten armor behind an aerospec pickaxe so that we can spend some time dating our world evil armor and buff that a bit so we actually use it.
These are all good changes except the Auric set in my opinion (and that lizard looking set lol just weird is all, dont feel like that would make me feel bad4ss) The sprites are nice, but the colors are horrible compared to what they were. Why are they so bright? Looks too overexposed, which makes them look comical. They should change the color tones to match the old set and then they'd look great. I dont think Auric even needed re-sprites though. They were my favorite set because they already looked fantastic, and fking bad4ss. If they town down the brightness I do think they'd look better overall though. Maybe in-game it looks better idk.
Literally none of them needed reworks. Seems like they are just updating things for no reason to make people happy that they are doing something different.
it isnt, its just that the mod is not showing the full plans, only stage melee lost a option was aerialite tier but you already have molten by that stage which is a p great armor
i like how the calamity sprites were already higher quality than terraria's and then the high quality sprites got powercreeped by calamity's sprites for new content so they're being resprited to be even higher quality

first of all, infernum exists, and second, a lot of the bosses have random spawns as well???
Vanilla has summon items for many bosses i see no reason for why calamity should stray away from this outside for the sake of "being different"

Melee has a ton of swords that shoot projectiles even in vanilla, and in Calamity there's even more of them

The fact that Godslayer armor won’t be for melee anymore kinda makes me mad. Bloodflare better has some very good changes for Melee by that point.
