Katie, I climbed the Tourmalet a few years ago and was completely exhausted at the top - you look so fresh at the top of those climbs! The descent is definitely the best part! :) I am loving your uploads for this trip, amazeballs! :)
Hey Katy, following your rides, but these latest ones are close to home for my son and I. We have been staying in Bourg d' Oisans now, for the last 5 years, and my son Andy has been riding he passes. He ahs done all of the ones you have done this year, and yes they are amaazing. He's planning to do the Alpe and the Telegrapgh /Galibier this year, along with the Madwlaine and the Lacets, and also the Sabot. Imyself get an e bike and have a go at the Alpe, or probs part of it. We are also going up the Meije cable car to the top station, and tot the Loteuret to get out yearly suppl yof honey. Dont know how long you have over there, but the Grinon is an excellent climb, and the Izoard from Guillestre. We are then going back down to Malaucene to ride the Ventoux for the umpteenth time, including the 'Cingles ' club where he did all three sides in one day, as a Fred Whittoner it's a very hard day. How's the weather at the moment, we are there from the 9th July.
The alpes are absolutely beautiful. Stunning having climbed Alpe D huez last year I am returning this year to do the galibier and telegraph in September staying in the pretty village of bourg D osians
Alpe d'Huez, Croix de Fer and Galibier all in one week, that's some break! Love the reference to Romain Bardet and the distance between normal human beings and the pros.
Thanks for footage great climbs. I did several of these Cols in 2016 for the Haute Route Alps event. Going back in 8 weeks to do them again in normal speed at my own pace versus balls to the wall everyday. Gotta enjoy the scenery. :)
Well done Katie, I did that climb a few years ago and it's so epic. Saw a lot of broken men walking near the top of the climb. You looked up for another go.
i missed the cut of time at the bottom of the alp huez by stopping to help some riders who had come of there bikes at the bottom of the galuier but i still rode up the alp heuz rode though the clouds still think about it now
Hey Katie, thanks for the amazing footage from your climb up the Telegraphe & Galibier…..wowwww…..just awesome! I’m leaving for the Alpes on 29 Aug and am planning on doing these climbs as well as the Alpe D’Huez, Roseland and Croix de Fer. My base will be 6 days in Bourg d’Oisans and 6 days in Bourg Saint Maurice. Could you tell me what you use to film, photography and document your rides while you are riding. I would really like to be able to capture the beautiful of these climbs and would appreciate any suggestions that you have….thank you!😊
Again another great video Katie. You can actually see your buzzing from your great adventures here so clearly... Ps that's a great idea showing the Relive.... Keep it up. 👍
I am in the south of France at the moment came yesterday we are stay at St Michelle de Mauriene the mountains are amazing my second time here, enjoy your stay.
Awesome job on the climbs, you have come a long way in a few years. I would love to make that trip to ride some of the Tour de France mountain stages some day. 😊
Another great views video. How were your hands on the way down ? I find mine end up aching a bit on really long decent with all the braking. Enjoy the rest of your trip if you are not back already
No idea where he was going - on tour somewhere. What a guy eh!! It was pretty chilly, not sure of exact temperatures but if you look at my Instagram (link below) you see me next to the snow!
Yeah, I thought Croix de Fer from the south was harder. But still a beast. Shame you didn't do the Lautaret decent. Wide main road 20k. Next, the dolomites and the Stelvio & Gavia. :)
Wow Katie K...You have good climbing skills ..great Stamina. .and endurance ....Have you ever rock climbed Outside or in Awsome wall Manchester ..I reckon you would be a perfect climber ..good strength mixed with that Northern Grit...and determination you have ...?!?! :))
I have.... I am rubbish at it haha. I did give it a go but my hands were SO sore! And I've always been a rubbish climber as in trees. I'm good on a bike but not so good on a wall. I did always want to be Jet from Gladiators though! :)
Great descending. ..Froooooomey style on the top tube haha....maybe some tupac...In background next time on your videos ... like Vegan Cyclist??! Background Tunes Are Sick .....?!?!
say what 40 at the back. i have a 50/34 and 11-32 at the back. looking for more help on the hills so was thinking about a super compact. 46/30 or 48/32. can i ask which casette and rear mech are you using as your running 40.
what a day u had!! may i give an advice? you are queen of the show, all those followers are there for you, your passion, sympathy and efforts. So we want more of you. you shouldn't carry the camera. Someone else should. is your boyfriend with you? why he is not carrying it? we would like to see u pedaling up those hills and telling us how you feel. You are the main protagonist. All the best.
Have you thought of any bother bikes that you might buy ....In am thinking of buying a Spitfire Titanium bike from Planet X. .comes with aero wheels and Shimano Ultegra/8000. Mainly to go bike packing around Scottish Islands Arran and Mull ..because it has points for racks and titanium frames are really smooth ride ..Have you seen Durianrider video on best wheels ..He says Spinergy zero lites are the best for climbin says nd hubs are bombproof. ..Best is you can have a choice of different colours of Spokes ..Durian Rider has the green spokes one's...Avoid Mavic wheels and Hubs as he was saying are rubbish. ..Spinergy wheels .com...only you have to order them from USA. . $799//£611//..!! You will climb even faster Kk...
Phenomenal vid Katie.

Stunning view Katie. Where was that man with all the panniers riding to you know? How warm was it at the top with the snow banks?
No idea where he was going - on tour somewhere. What a guy eh!! It was pretty chilly, not sure of exact temperatures but if you look at my Instagram (link below) you see me next to the snow!
I bet those climbs are a test for your new bike fit Katie, how are you getting on with it?
Your a Gladiator anyway doing all them hills with a great attitude. :)

Nature very beautiful:) Is it difficult to breathe at altitude, or not?
What chainrings n cassette are u using Katie. . Looks great
In a much earlier video she said she was running a 42 tooth cassette (with mech hanger extension) so I presume she still runs that
Well done Katie. What did you eat whilst you were there? I've always worried about how difficult it would be to be Vegan in France.
“How are they doing it?”
EPO and motors 😂😂
Amazing video! How did you plan the logistics of your trip? Did you all Arbnb or have friends in the area?
Vid coming up on this very topic ☺️ In short though, air bnb kind of....
Crazzy that. Your VO2 max must be off the scale!!

Hi, what gearing do you use or suggest
I have a compact 50/34 and a 40 at the back ☺️

Come ride San Diego’s coastal trail...you wont regret it. My club can host your team. Plus Afternoon Tea afterward.
The u.s is not really a cycling hub like Europe plus it’s way too far off
what a day u had!! may i give an advice? you are queen of the show, all those followers are there for you, your passion, sympathy and efforts. So we want more of you. you shouldn't carry the camera.
