It was 1989, and heavy metals days were numbered, but this song hit the radio and I was blown away. Robin McAuley's voice hits like a jack hammer. It has a classic, timeless sound to it like a Zeppelin tune, but at the same time sounds very 80's, they don't write em like this anymore.
Short lived McAuley-Schenker duo, sorely missed. When I first heard MSG on radio back in 1987, my first initial reaction, this band was a new Scorpions persona with younger band members only to learn the vocalist by the name Robin McAuley. Purchased a "Perfect Timing" cassette, and MSG became one of my favorite rock bands other than Scorpions, Whitesnake, Dio, Kingdom Come, Y&T, to name a dozen.
my sweet wife introduced me to this song A few months ago and now I can't get enough of it we live in the 80s far as our music and I'm sad that I didn't see this one back in the 80s great song Michael Schenker and his brother Rudolph from the Scorpions are like gifts from God when it comes to music
Well all generations have their ups and downs, have masterpieces and complete trash so you can't actually state that all today's music sucks. If you search enough there ara good songs and singers and bands out there.
@@evatsav7624 This is true. As a youngster my dad taught me right. He showed me Deep Purple, Zeppelin, Humble Pie among others. I used to believe that all modern music sucked, but my opinion changed when I discovered Dream Theater. That opened my horizons to an endless fray of awesome music. There is so much good music out there, but it is usually found in a heaping pile of trash that's made up of synthetic beats and robotic sounds wrapped around lyrics that are rhetorical and trashy. I discovered Angra, Haken, and then Jazz Fusion bands like Casiopea and Tribal Tech. Modern popular music is garbage, but there's more good music to discover than ever before. I hope my generation (Z) comes to their senses!
Watching this makes me so sad to think that it was the music of the past....i hope and pray that someday stuff like this would blow up our radios again...
From a time when we had these people called "musicians" that actually played instruments. And people at concerts enjoyed the spectacle instead of watching it through a cell phone.
And the women were women, dressed to th e 9's. long hair and sexy. Now it green and pink hair, more hair in their armpits and guys that are more feminine then the female's
Absolutely a great song the late 80s n early 90s was great power ballads. Michael is a great guitar player great guitar solo MSG great hard rock band 😎🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸🎸🌹🌹❤️❤️🏋️🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🎸🎸🌹
Such great lyrics to this. Unfortunately men like this don't exist anymore. They stopped many years ago caring about their women like the man described here.
msg had the strongest hard rock ballads hands down. robin and Michael had some great chemistry. if they would have made it another 10 years they would have been big time big. they always were for me, I couldn't get enough of this music. still can't get tired of msg.
Man, hearing this song again brought back a lot of memories of youth.I am a big Skorpions fan and always liked Rudi and Michaels' music. This may just inspire me to learn this tune on the guitar.Cheers,
God I wish today's music would be half as good as it was in the 1980s, this is one of the best power ballads of all time and it should've been a major Top 40 hit, the hair metal wave was the last great era of rock music IMHO
My desire for 80's rocks is still burning, like it always used to. Anytime i want this song, anytime i'm lonely, anytime i need it, i have to come here cause' i know it will be there. This song still remains the same. I miss Cool rock like MSG and other 80's and 90's.
Agree... the only Rock Band "these days" I love, love, love are King X (still my older go-2 band for classic based hard rock) and the amazing, killer band MUSE, enough said!!!
it makes me angry when they call 80's cheesy....this is the best music ...ever....long live 80's metal...CHECK OUT: THAT 80'S HAIRBAND...dude kills it...
donny j Cheese is in the nose of the beholder. And as far as my snoz is concerned this era of rock was the best, and the sales back that up, because people vote with their wallets and numbers don't lie.
Another great MSG song! Scorpions are indebted to Michael for his participation on the Lovedrive album. Put them on the map and they never looked back!
Possibly one of the most under rated acts of the Genre. Schenker is without a doubt one of the greatest and sadly least appreciated guitarists of all time. Someday he will get his due.
That's some very romantic guitar playing there; it's a very well-crafted song. My son and I saw Michael Schenker at the Pabst Theatre in Milwaukee last year and he played the subdued arpeggiated chord part with extreme focus and delicacy. It was one of the highlights of the show.
Wooow,..and I was thinking I was only one of the Tru lovers and believers that was still rocking to msg I totally agree 110% especially with that comment they were actually playing real lespaul guitars and actually had real skins on the drums..lo.ok gotta run to the market for my dreaded witch of of a wife "WHt was I thinking, bottom
i was looking for this song to find it again so many years........ i m so lucky to hear it again after many years because of you!!!!! thank you for uploading this awesome song. regards from Greece !!!!!!
He is the original UFO guitarist, as well as being the brother of Rudolf from the Scorpions and also played with the Scorpions off and on over the years.
Indeed Evil ,I too grew up in that time Era, Some say I never left & tell me cut my hair, However I don't think J.D. realizes this is Bat country and some Basturd has been feeding these Damn Animals Alcohol
One of the best power ballads ever. Robin McAuley's voice fits the song to a tee. And Michael Schenker is superb, as always.
Yup you right!…you still here brotha?
Yeah and they kick the scorpions ass up down and across the street. The scorpions sold out to commercialization
MSG
Is Awesome! Who is still listening in 2019?
I LOVE THIS SONG! This song is Awesome,Great,Wonderful! "Anytime"
I had 2 of their albums. Mostly it's nostalgia for me, but it damn sure doesn't suck.
When music still had feeling...without the corporate interests.
I can’t stop listening to this good stff
Hell yea,and in 2030

I agree 100% Alan Sims!
Alan Sims agreed.
Michael Schenker is one of the most underrated and most talented guitarists in the history of heavy metal.
The McAuley era was MSG's peak. This is fantastic stuff.
Decades go by, and this still rocks
Daniel Lioneye for sur

This song makes me miss people from my past.
robin dunlap yup, good ole memories
One of the best rock ballads of that generation and just goes to show that when Michael Schenker head is in the right place he is awesome.
Love this group. Definitely one of my favorite songs of all time. So glad to have grown up with this music. The music of today sucks.
Kristian Hazard I also grew up with this music, 50s 60s 70s 80s I"m still into it at 69 yrs old.

MSG ROCKS.. ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BANDS!
One of the best songs ever in the history of rock n roll :)
From a time when we had these people called "musicians" that actually played instruments. And people at concerts enjoyed the spectacle instead of watching it through a cell phone.

2022 and still love this song. Real music right here!!
Such great lyrics to this. Unfortunately men like this don't exist anymore. They stopped many years ago caring about their women like the man described here.
How did I manage to not hear of this band when I grew up in the 80s? I missed out on it somehow. That or my old age has screwed up my memory. lol
Real music ,,, good old times .....
i have been trying to find this song for 15 years i am happy that i finaly found it.

Awesome song!!! 1987-1989-1991-fantastic years for MSG !!!!!!
I love this mix with guitars and romance. Nothing's like this till the 80's and the early 90's. Beautiful.
God I wish today's music would be half as good as it was in the 1980s, this is one of the best power ballads of all time and it should've been a major Top 40 hit, the hair metal wave was the last great era of rock music IMHO
You are so right.
I wish I could have seen these guys in concert, they sure made some great music!
I remember listening to this album in my Walkman back in Jr college!
Great vocals and guitar work!!!
all it did take is one time to watch this video and me and my dad were hooked on it. we love the song, band and video!
that twin guitar solo is amazing
Rockpodoboo
You can't have a twin solo. It's a guitar harmony.
Rockpodoboo Yes it really is , love it
My desire for 80's rocks is still burning, like it always used to.

Schenker is without a doubt one of the greatest and sadly least appreciated guitarists of all time. Someday he will get his due.
Still one of the best. Can't believe this song didn't get more mainstream play
