Many indigenous women do facial tattoo, but its now a choice not mandatory. Very interesting interview amazing. Looking forward to more halfie project.
It wasn’t mandatory. Islam prohibited tattoos so people were getting aware of their religion telling them to avoid doing tattoos on the skin especially from the 80s/90s started to stop tattoos completely. But not all women were tattooed. It wasn’t mandatory it was just like accessory and a traditional tattoos, no one was forced to get tattooed.
This video's bio resonated with me so much. Although my mum is Moroccan, I didn't know anything about Amazigh/Berber culture for so long. I was just told I was arab, and never knew who the Amazigh were, until only a year ago, I'm 16 now and I'm discovering the culture and asking my parents more about it. It's so fascinating to me. Hell no that is arabian or islamic. the men can only marry 4 and even that it comes with strict conditions and its not something one can just easily marry two and more just because you want it. Theres alot of factors that needed to take into consideration. Marrying 5 and 14 women is not in islamic teachings, but rather the jahiliyyah period before the arrival of Islam.
@@nora7440 Marry more than one had a reason behind it,in wartime a lot of men died ,so the number of women was so much bigger than men, there were widow women and orphan kids, and at that women could not stay without a supporter , they will end up as prostitutes,so Islam allows men marrying more than one women and he will take responsibility of taking care of her and her kids, but he has to qualify to do that, one of the condition is to get his first wife permission, and yes there women who allow their husbands to have the second wife , nowadays there aren't a lot of people who do that since it's not really needed
@@nora7440 So sick? Did you even read his text? A Muslim man who wants to marry two or more women needs to get his wifes permission first, like the brother/sister above mentioned. After the marriage, he must treat them equally, fair and just. If he cannot do that, then he is not allowed to marry more than one woman. Men used to be soldiers back then. So most of the women were widowed with no one there to support them, to feed or to protect them, they even had children. So instead of letting them die in poverty or to go astray from the religion, Allah in all his wisdom allowed men to marry two or up to four women.
after watching a few videos from Halfie Projects i started feeling like Korea is a very Islamophobic country. even though this channel claims to promote peace but they're actually promoting something else entirely with the nuances
Hey all , I'm Amazigh girl , I need yours support to keep sharing our amazing Berber culture , I will start to share informations about amazigh about Tamazight (the language) and I'm gonna teach Tamazight cuz really our language is dying
I came to know about your channel from your bf’s youtube channel so I came to watch your channel. Just one comment, Islamisation in North Africa/Maghreb region occurred centuries ago. This is important to note in your description because it implies Islamisation is a recent thing. The case of minoritisation of Indigenous People is happening in different regions in the world. I know your channel is not a history channel but perhaps including this in your description can add more context. There is so much misinformation out there. Thanks
My mom is moroccan berber and my dad is moroccan arab Sadly my mom didn't teach the language or about the culture at all, and the fact that I grew up in italy away from my family didnt help I'm 21 and I as well I'm trying to find out more about this part of my identity!
The arabs are native amazighs too but arabs culturally the most pure amazighs in north Africa are Moroccans in middle morocco Casablanca fes beni mellal jadida , both who speak darija arabic and amazigh, people start speaking arabic centuries ago not yesterday the ones who stayed in the mountains keept speaking amazigh , the Arab tribes of jedid or beni mellal and other middle Moroccan arabs are more amazigh genetically than the north amazighs or the south amazighs in the north they have higherEuropean admixture and in the south they have higher sup saharan admixture.
The Arabization only started in the French protectorate era, so it's not something related to Islam. Overall, good video and very interesting person and absolutely a great project! I just subbed ❤
I really liked this video, the interview was so interesting! The fusion between the two different cultures is amazing! I am also Berber (not from Atlas but from the south-west), and I can confirm that there are different languages depending on which tribe the person comes from. For example, I speak “tachelhit” and I don’t understand a word spoken in amazigh!
No not a word. Just some sentences and maybe it’s different but all amazigh languages have similarities and it’s not just some words. Most Words are used by all the amazigh people and the culture is the same

Wow, it is so fascinating how many halfies all over the world had parents who married decades ago when it was more taboo or less common to marry between different races. Amazing to see these couples surviving and making a family regardless of cultural differences, languages, and boundaries. I would love to see how these families eat and fuse two cuisines in their daily dinner table. 😁🤗 I see Korean facial traits on her face, but not familiar with Berber traits to tell. I can hear Korean and Italian accents when she speaks. She knows probably 4 languages fluently, and can most likely understand decently 2 more. Wow 👏 🤯 My kids will be halfies also, Viet/Korean.

4:02 Not only but also, Egypt, Niger, Mali and Senegal. Some subsaharian tribes are actually berbers but nobody talk about that. Tuareg have mixed with subsaharans. For instance, Fulanis are half berber and half subsaharian. Indeed, polygamy is something from Islam. Berbers are one of the 12 lost tribes of Israel.
The best mix you can be Korean and Moroccan (amazigh) you are so adorable omgg the store from your grandma is so cute❤️🇲🇦 say it loud and clear 🤘🏼 we are the indigenous people from North Africa. My mom is from north (rifia) El hocima and my father is from The south Agadir (sousia) All the countries in North Africa are basically Amazighen including Egypt now. The north area in Mali and Nigeria are also Berbers and in the canary eiland you will also find very unique indigenous interesting Berber tribes. The Amazighen went to so many dynasty’s and it’s true that many are Arabised (berbers) there has been a long study on this only 4 % in Morocco are real Arabs meanwhile 50% identify them self as Arabs. The Arabs came to North Africa they forbidden our culture and language the brought a new religion Islam. The ting is after a while they went back to the Middle East the only people who really stayed where the king and the rulers at that time who where Arabs. Because the language and culture was forbidden many Berber stoped using their language and their culture. This went on for centuries and people forgot their true identity. But Morocco is the first and I think the only country where the teaching the tamazigh language in school now. Also many are finding their true roots now. Finally!! If you go to Egypt for almost everyone identify them self as an arab brainwashed into the ground...it’s so sad to be honest because the indigenous in Egypt are Nubians they are one of the oldest and forgotten tribes in Egypt and the Berber. Those are the tribes from the pharhoons times. The last pharhoon was defeated by a Berber king that why most of the population are berbers but because of the arabisation they identify them self as Arabs.. that was a little bit history. Cool thing to know recently study’s shows that the Berbers where even older than the Egyptians
You have the best mix ever a mix between my 2 favourite amazigh groups. I’m an ashelhi originally from imintaguen (taroudant) but my dad lived in agadir. And I’m born in Europe in a city full of riffians so I love them both. May god bless you💪🏻❤️
I'm assuming studies also showed that the origin of life started in morocco as well. smh I know what ur referring to and no that's not what the 'studies' affirm
@hi hi Euhm what studies do you think I’m referring to? Hmm the oldest known evidence for anatomically modern humans is found in Morocco that doesn’t mean that the first human came from their or would be a Berber nobody have said it but this is the oldest we have for so far something you shouldn’t forgot that the oldest founded kingdoms are from North Africa and Middle East. there is evidence that shows that the tamazigh language is founded older than the Egyptians so I assume they have lived before them. We have an whole Sahara to dig out 😅Egyptians and berbers have the same blood line as well so what is the issue here?
happy to hear your story sister .. the sense of humor is an amazigh brand ..... and about your third side ..i a sorry to tell you that u have not any third side .. because the people u meet are amazigh too but they are victims of arab nationalism ..un ideology promoted in north africa to kill the amazigh identity but they filed thanks to allah ... again sister we are very happy to know about u ..we wish u the best in your life

Hello ! I just came across your comment and I would love to exchange with you If you don’t mind !
Im Berber and my fiancé is korean and I havee so many questions regarding the way you guys raised your kids !
@@chanezk3214 Hi! I'd love to answer any questions you may have. What is your email? I am the other way around, Korean, and my hubby is Berber. I always thought it was a cool mixture, and wondered if there were any others.
Wow! where is your husband from?

Many indigenous women do facial tattoo, but its now a choice not mandatory.
Very interesting interview amazing. Looking forward to more halfie project.
Thanks for the comment! We are learning all the time and definitely enjoyed this interview
I bought my mother an amazigh necklace for her birthday too last month and she loved it! Thanks for spreading awareness of our culture and existence in this video, I loved it 🥰
The amount half Moroccan (mom)/half Korean (dad) people I see on the interwebz is astonishing. Wow! Very interesting.
She is so cute am so looking forward to the next interview with her
interesting "mix" (it's weird for me to say it like that). She kinda looks Japanese!
I'm a berber too from Algeria. korean/berber is such a rare and beautiful mix wow.
She is very knowledgeable of the berbers culture I'm so proud lol I hope to see more people like her.
Thank you for watching :)
Such an amazing story!! Just thinking she has to know 6 languages at least !!
‘Ooh wow’ she says. What great experiences meeting new people/cultures. So very proud of her heritage (just like us guys but just more special 🤣)
Only Marry 4 😂😂😂 waw
thank you! this interview was nice but it had SO SO SOOO much misinformation lol
@@fatisummer9106 so sick ! Thank god this is not permited in my country
She could become a model! What a beauty!
i’m from libya so i’m most likely imazigh, she’s so pretty 🥺💕
Thank you for the comment!
after watching a few videos from Halfie Projects i started feeling like Korea is a very Islamophobic country. even though this channel claims to promote peace but they're actually promoting something else entirely with the nuances
@gou ifkl so where do you get your meat from?
Thank you for this video, I watch you from the start of the channel, keep going ! ♥️
Thank you for watching!
She's so pretty, and so self-aware and insightful and well-spoken too!
I am impressed by this story. Truly awesome.... Thanks
Hey all , I'm Amazigh girl , I need yours support to keep sharing our amazing Berber culture , I will start to share informations about amazigh about Tamazight (the language) and I'm gonna teach Tamazight cuz really our language is dying
I’m following you 👍
I came to know about your channel from your bf’s youtube channel so I came to watch your channel.
Thanks
My mom is moroccan berber and my dad is moroccan arab
Sadly my mom didn't teach the language or about the culture at all, and the fact that I grew up in italy away from my family didnt help
I'm 21 and I as well I'm trying to find out more about this part of my identity!

Amazigh identity should be preserved🖤 It's sad how the native peoples of this land are seen as a minority and are being discriminated against.
The arabs are native amazighs too but arabs culturally the most pure amazighs in north Africa are Moroccans in middle morocco Casablanca fes beni mellal jadida , both who speak darija arabic and amazigh,
people start speaking arabic centuries ago not yesterday the ones who stayed in the mountains keept speaking amazigh , the Arab tribes of jedid or beni mellal and other middle Moroccan arabs are more amazigh genetically than the north amazighs or the south amazighs in the north they have higherEuropean admixture and in the south they have higher sup saharan admixture.

Hello Amazigh berber the natives of North Africa. Proud Amazigh American
The Arabization only started in the French protectorate era, so it's not something related to Islam.
Overall, good video and very interesting person and absolutely a great project!
I just subbed ❤
Wow I've never see someone with mixed ethnicity similar to mine! I'm half Chinese, half Tunisian.
How interesting! Thanks for watching & sharing some cool info :))
No not a word. Just some sentences and maybe it’s different but all amazigh languages have similarities and it’s not just some words. Most Words are used by all the amazigh people and the culture is the same
No my mum speaks tachelhit but understands most amazigh languages even some of Algeria

The most important thing about her testimony is the fact she is a multicultural young woman from birth and education. She has incorporated all the cultures, so she's right when she uses the word 'gypsy'. She feels everywhere and nowhere is home. At the same time she understands all of these cultures she was brought. Is it the 3rd I feel deep inside also? Thank you for this testimony on multicultural and 3rd children culture issue.
Terrific video Becky. It's so neat to see hold kids, they all share a similar look no matter the mix.my daughter is half Vietnamese and she looks like the two of you ..I can't describe it, there's a look definitely. Keep up the great job Becky❤️👍🏼💐

Wow! Looking forward to more interviews 😍
We love our halmonis (grandmas) :)
I appreciate how she tries to maintain her amazigh roots , cause nowadays even the moroccan berbers are negelecting this part
I am very proud of this girl. 🥰
What a beauty... And so sensual.. These sparkling eyes and - yes! - 'monella' 🙄💋..
I see Korean facial traits on her face, but not familiar with Berber traits to tell. I can hear Korean and Italian accents when she speaks. She knows probably 4 languages fluently, and can most likely understand decently 2 more. Wow 👏 🤯
My kids will be halfies also, Viet/Korean.

Hello everyone i am berber living in south korea ,i make vlogs in tamazight language ,
I liked her way of speaking and explaining very adorable 🇲🇦 ❤️
I think I should make this clear sacrificing a sheep is something like Turkey on Thanksgiving but for us it's sheep
It’s called Eid el Adha (a religious memorial celebration day)
I just love how bubbly she is. Some ppl think being mixed race is bit burdensome, but being mixed myself i found more advantages. Seeing the world from multiple views not just a black n white/right n wrong kinda perspective. I got (a pint of) Dutch in Mom’s side n Chinese on Dad’s side but both of my parents hv bigger (Borneo’s) indigenous blood in them. I do look more Chinese but sadly apart from some Chinese ‘localised’ words/phrases, i don’t speak any Chinese at all. I love how she identify herself as ‘colorful/multicolor’. How gray life wud b if its just black n white, rite?😅✌️❤️
I love everything moroccan

@Das steht in der Sternen You are only Muslim because the Arabs conquered North Africa centuries ago, otherwise you wouldn't be. North African doesn't equal being Muslim, Amazighs have their own identity and beliefs. :)
@Das steht in der Sternen If you weren't born Muslim you wouldn't even be Muslim. Same thing if you were born Christian. No I am not Muslim.
@Das steht in der Sternen Thank you sweetie. If you're happy in it, I am happy for you :)
@Das steht in der Sternen You as well! xo
Das steht in der Sternen its not mandatory to learn Arabic and why do you always say that having an amazigh identity is hating Arabs. Doesn’t she have to get mad because people confuse her for something she isn’t? You wouldn’t be happy to be confused with a Brit or a Norwegian either so stop expecting people to be proud of your identity taht is m’n theirs

Berbers are one of the lost tribes of Isreal, please can you expand on this a little
Stop being dumb. Polygamy predates Islam.
You are really lucky to relate to such a great people, the Berbers.

Amazigh langage is official now in Morocco and Algeria .
beautiful and unique mix!
she is so cute. i began to love berber girls.
The best mix you can be Korean and Moroccan (amazigh) you are so adorable omgg the store from your grandma is so cute❤️🇲🇦 say it loud and clear 🤘🏼 we are the indigenous people from North Africa. My mom is from north (rifia) El hocima and my father is from The south Agadir (sousia)
All the countries in North Africa are basically Amazighen including Egypt now.
How interesting to hear this - thanks for writing!
Yayy another rifi! My parents are from Nador
happy to hear your story sister .. the sense of humor is an amazigh brand ..... and about your third side ..i a sorry to tell you that u have not any third side .. because the people u meet are amazigh too but they are victims of arab nationalism ..un ideology promoted in north africa to kill the amazigh identity but they filed thanks to allah ... again sister we are very happy to know about u ..we wish u the best in your life
