Great video! Ive done hours of research and this is by far the best one ive seen. I just have one question, would i be able to use a bolted stand or wall stand for the monitor? 😊
The monitor supports a VESA mount. Not sure if that's what you mean, but any wall mount that is VESA should work. Alternatively you can use one of those mounting arms. That's what I'm maybe planning on doing. My desk is only 60cm deep, which is normally enough but the legs of this monitor are so large I'm worried it will take up too much space on my desk and push my mouse and keyboard back. That said, make sure to get a very good mount because the screen is pretty heavy and also curved, the curve makes the weight distrubition weird. I would get a mount that supports at least 20kg so you're certain it won't ever fail on you. Also one that has no plastic hinges or pieces. I'm waiting for mine to arrive, but when it does I will check if it takes up too much space and buy an arm if I need too.
Thank you!, the coating is doing ok, though i have light from tv behind me but it doesnt bother me that much. picture still sharp, bright and full of detail.
@@gapanich2041 Damn bro there is no way I'm trusting an 8kg arm to hold a screen that is 8kg. I'm looking for one that can hold at least 15/20kg so I can be sure that it will never fail on me.

P.s. this video has made me want to build a pc. I recently started playing with mouse and keyboard on ps5 (Warzone). But now I'm realing how few games support it and I don't want to go back to controller lol. So I looked up the price of a 4090. Figured I might build a nice PC to go with my nice new monitor, future proof it a little so I can run games max/high graphics @1440p for a while. I mean my laptop with a 4060 was 1100 so I figured a 4090 would be 500/600 ... it's 2100/2500 euro. What the actual FK. A 4070 TI is 900/1100. Holy fk man. And these cards are barely better than a 3000 card. But there is no way I'm buying a 3000 because those don't have DLSS + frame gen. My 4060 laptop with a I7 12700h runs robocop rogue city max graphics and max ray tracing @ 1080p around 90/100fps purely because of frame generation and dlss. Even though it sucks that it's not actually the card's performance and AI trickery, I still woudln't want to give that up since I imagine most if not all new games will have frame gen going forward.\ anyway, guess I'm sticking to mouse and keyboard for now
Samsung still dealing with problems from previous generations, but it doesn't matter because people will consume product and then get excited for next product. A sucker born every minute.
Fortunately my unit come with the new firmware 1003.0 in general use i don't see any scanlines BUT in certain blue color there are still some scanlines i can notice like, Battle.net icon, steam icon, Discord icon in my desktop(i have to put my head very close to the screen to see it). Watching movies and gaming i don't have any issue with scanlines.
@@GitDatPC us.community.samsung.com/t5/Monitors-and-Memory/Samsung-Neo-G8-Firmware/td-p/2315360 can’t find any patch note. but from this thread i presume scanline fix?
I just returned mine , not worth it at that price . The stand is the worst ever, you need to disable free sync if you have an nvidia card when enabling 240 hz, I did not realize that and kept getting blank screens flickering on and off. My set had other little problems that I just packed the monitor and sent it back. I did not feel it.. due to cost.

Samsung still dealing with problems from previous generations, but it doesn't matter because people will consume product and then get excited for next product. A sucker born every minute.
lol, true that😆

How do I update the monitor
Hi, I'm using zotac rtx 4080 with neo g8 but only 120hz is available on 4k. I'm using HDMI 2.1, any help will be appricated.
DisplayPort ….
Шикарно, how much? 👍😊
Do you got the scanline issue a lot people talking about?
Fortunately my unit come with the new firmware 1003.0 in general use i don't see any scanlines BUT in certain blue color there are still some scanlines i can notice like, Battle.net icon, steam icon, Discord icon in my desktop(i have to put my head very close to the screen to see it). Watching movies and gaming i don't have any issue with scanlines.
@@gapanich2041 How can you tell what firmware version you have?
@@TheRelen222 menu > support > software update. in the right section will show software version
@@gapanich2041 Any idea what the updated firmware does? Mine are all 1002.1 and I don't see the update available for download on Samsung's website 😕
@@GitDatPC us.community.samsung.com/t5/Monitors-and-Memory/Samsung-Neo-G8-Firmware/td-p/2315360 can’t find any patch note. but from this thread i presume scanline fix?
Anyone struggling with the screws in the back ?
Can a 3090ti do 4k 240hz or only 144?
Yes, 3090ti can 4k @240hz via display port 1.4
@@gapanich2041 thanks i was debating whether or not to wait for the 4th GPUs if 3090ti cant do 4k 240 hz
Quick question if you turn adaptive sync off and whatever is grayed will it still be on
Do you have a link to that monitor arm? Can't find it anywhere!
I just returned mine , not worth it at that price . The stand is the worst ever, you need to disable free sync if you have an nvidia card when enabling 240 hz, I did not realize that and kept getting blank screens flickering on and off. My set had other little problems that I just packed the monitor and sent it back. I did not feel it.. due to cost.
sorry to hear that, i feel you👍. The price is high indeed. and maybe it's not suitable for every pc.
Using in 240 hz scanlines pretty bad, paying that much for this monitor is unacceptable issue.
@@philipli1992 that’s too bad🙁. I’m using 240hz refresh rate but i don’t have any issue. What is your monitor’s firmware version?
You need to disable freesync when enabling 240hz? 🤣 did someone ask you to lie so you get a free cookie?
@@philipli1992 I can tell you lying. Scanlines are so hard to see thst u need to use windows magnifer.
