Listening to this song now fills me with such melancholy and nostalgia. I used to listen to this song all the time during D1 (I was like 12-13 then) really brings back a lot for me.
same, got d1 when it first came out and played it every day after school with my brother and brought every dlc and continuing with d2, but then my brother stopped playing it and i just stopped finding fun in the game
Same I got it when it came out and played throughout the entirety of D1 then when D2 came around I bought it but it just slipped away and lost my interest...
MoonSwine same dude my grandfather died and I had a bunch of friends that helped me through that we all started to drift away from eachother and I haven’t talked to any of then in years
I know im a bit late to your comment but i played destiny 1 all the time i would say that you could stop at almost any spot in the game and be in awe of how beautiful your surrondings are like there are a few points during the raids where i just took a step back and was like admiring how just how weird everything was its a pretty game its too bad its sequel sucks
This song touches me a lot all these years later. Some of my best memories where during destiny. Hours and hours playing with best friends, laughing and telling jokes as we raided and died. I miss it a lot. I miss all the times I spent with my friends. I'm older, we all are and dont have time like we used to. I miss playing destiny with them.
I am still young but i am starting to have less and less time to play with destiny the fact that one day i might not be able to play anymore doesnt even seem possible. I met so many great friends on destiny 1&2
Man I feel old af. Other than Modern Warfare 2, this game was probably my second favorite and had the best memories playing. I got this game the first week it came out and man has it been years! Grinding hours and hours for the best weapons and gear to raise my light level. Never could make it to the light house lol sweats on this game was insane. I would love to relive all of my Destiny hours with my old friends again
I think Dan Bull is pretty passionate about Destiny 1. It's five minutes long 2. This was made in 2014 before The Taken King released so he must've paid attention to the news about Destiny around that time 3. He put the Law of the Jungle as the chorus. That doesn't really have to do with anything it just sounds really cool
You know, this song was the reason I couldn't watch the new "Jungle Book" movie. Every time they started reciting the law of the jungle, I couldn't help but think 'Dan Bull did this eight times better.'
Everytime I have to stop and question if humanity still deserves to be here, I listen to this song, almost 7 years later, and it gives me faith, once more.
Listening to this before the release to lightfall is just so different. Not only does it fill me with nostalgia from when I was younger and the game was new and fresh. But it also is different because so much of what this story has been building up to has been around in some way since day one. Sure we haven’t ever been able to go to the swamps of Chicago, but so many other things have happened. I have a never ending laundry list of criticisms of the game, the company, and it’s practices, but I still love this game. I love this community. I love the experiences that I’ve had. And I love that I’ll be able to see this story to it’s conclusion with you all.
FlippingPenguin I have grinded since I hit level 20. The game wasn't that great though. Grinding shouldn't have to be a part of the game. Same shit, all the time.
This game... Means so much to me, it started me into FPS it makes me so happy but recently its fallen and I am very eager to see the sequel as i am looking to the sky hoping that it will bring me as much fun and happiness as the original.
Me too, but not because I feel it relates to Rise of Iron. This song is about a conquest and exploration passed long ago. Sort of the Re-rise of humanity Bronze Age. Now things are different. Different feeling. It's more of a high tech, personal face off than reclaiming our system and it's technology. Both are awesome, but have a different vibe about them. I certainly did like the vanilla idea behind Destiny's plot, and this song gives me chills thinking about that adventure
I love this song because when I started to speak a little bit of english, I used this song for training pronunciation and fluency. It did work, and every time I find myself speaking fluently, I remember the good old days singing this masterpiece. Thanks, Dan, for this.
I came back to this song and relived some memories of Destiny 1 days, now starting tomorrow it seems like the story of Destiny is coming closer to the end with Lightfall. Thank you Dan for a BANGER of a song for one of my favorite games of all time
Yeah i agree dan bull is pretty good but in my opinion this songs seems better than all the others. And again in my opinion dan bull is a good video game song guy but I think brysi is better because almost every video game song I like is from brysi. And dan bull made a very good enterance in brysi's COD ghosts rap. Part of dans lline on that song was " move fish get out the way, its dan bull and I got somthing to say, a battle feild vet, I been to the baorder lands."
I watch this 10 time a month since release. This was my intro to destiny. Still playing destiny almost 10 years later thru all its ups and downs. Thank you Dan ❤️
"this is the law of the jungle, as old and as true as the sky. the wolf that shall keep it may proper, but the wolf that shall break it must die. as the creeper that girdles the treetrunk, the law runneth forward and back, for the strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack" this is the most badass chorus dan has ever made and its for the most badass game ever made. rock on, dan.
I always go to NATZure when I need something colossally cinematic. I don't even know what genre this music is but it makes me want to crush the universe
Friend of mine showed me this song back in late 2018, found out that Destiny 2 was doing a free week of Forsaken. 6 years down the line and I'm still going, I hope someday Dan revisits Destiny to make another, perhaps recapping all the story points thus far 👀
I was there since beta of Destiny 1...my guardian retured from the fight after bungie threw this game into the trash and decided to just squeeze everyone for every penny they could. But to my surprise,D1 has many players still. And so i choose to stay where this game was truly peak.
I was 12 when I first listened to this. Oh dear god Dan this will forever be incredible. i still say this is the best rap he has made. Coming back here feels like coming home
listen, this is honest to God the best musical creation I have ever heard. I heard it for the first time about a year ago and I am still loving it, it gives me goosebumps for days and practical replaces my blood with dopamine. I have cried listening to this song that's how epic it is. I stopped playing destiny a few months ago and kinda despise it but this rap is just pure amazingness. I cannot thank you enough for this. Edit: I still love this song with all my heart and I listen to it when I'm feeling nostalgic. Brings back all those emotions from when this journey all began. Indeed, it is an epic rap. Happy vibes all round :)
Came back to this song once again right after season of arrivals launch. This song still hits hard and reminds me of where I started with this game and I’m glad it’s come so far. I’m so excited for Beyond Light, we’ve come so far and we’re taking the fight to the darkness now.
I still come back to this song every once in a while. This really helps me capture the feeling i used to get after coming home from school and playing destiny hours on end. I still miss having people to play with and being able to do raids and trials every weekend. Anybody still playing d2 on xbox?
Am I the only one who believes if bungie had used this songs as their advertisement they would be sitting on a WHOLE lot more money at this point? haha.
Exactly. There are probably a lot of elements in destiny that are better in other games that specialise in that thing, but destiny has everything in a package so addicting you'll literally never want to play anything else. It's older than black ops 3 by far and has a more creative and larger community. People say shit about it, but it's lore is amazing, visuals are incredible and is just genuinely so much fun to play.
love destiny, and i totally agree, i just stopped playing because i cant afford the DLC, wish they just added it to the base game, i think a lot of people will come back if they do.
Listening to this with lightfall and the darkness finally here after all this time to try and take us out once and for all this song feels even more fitting
Quazboxxy TheSpiritKnight i suspect that at november, we will get an announcement for a march release; based on an educated guess on how long a single port would take and how long untill they have enough manpower to divert attention from patching the current game and instead work on a port
Dude what if bungie like predicted the future and made destiny to prepare us for the battle once we are guardians, that would be crazy. To bad it's nothing more than a wish ;-;
You could say that all of the video games we play for example- strategy, shooters, rpg, puzzles, etc. Could be a low-key training routine for the bada** guardians of the future like you and me :P
We’re all here! You’re never truly only bro, not only is God by our side but we have many brothers and sisters out here all trying to make it as well :) Hope you’re doing okay man, here’s to the finale of the Destiny series 🎉
It was a fun ride. Made some great friends. Even defeated The Witness. But it wasn’t the darkness that extinguished the light after these long years. It was Bungie management.
It's been 3 years since I heard this. This song helped me through a lot of rough times snd coming back to it, I still know every word. I made myself a plaque with the words "The strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack". This has definitely made an impact on me in a hard time and I just wanted to say thank you Dan Bull.
Jesus this was probably the best one yet. And to all the people who say the game is bad? You obviously have no idea what an mmorpgfps is supposed to be like. It supposed to be frustrating and irritating. The game is and while I'll admit that the story left something to be desired I love going on raids with my friends and grinding for days just to get the gear I want. It's worth it. Kids these days just want everything to fall out of the sky and into their laps. Go back to COD, scrubs. And leave the real games to the true players.
namethisman43 if you determine how good a game is based on how many classes it has and how much it costs, then you clearly have no business speaking up on the subject. Opinions are great, but dont try to make it sound like a fact, youre just embarrassing yourself.
First reason people really hate the dlc and also there people kicked out of multiple reasons also how they have patches and glitches of people seeing the work of dlc but also I like the game but every games has problems
Back in 2015, when this and other VG raps by Dan Bull were available, they were the banger songs at my side while I worked out my way back into physical health. 10/10 ost, thanks Dan Bull. Stay awesome.
This Is The Law Of The Jungle, As Old And As True As The Sky, The Wolf That Shall Keep It May Prosper, But The Wolf That Shall Break It Must Die. As The Creeper That Girdles The Tree Trunk, The Law Runneth Forward And Back, For The Strength Of The Pack Is The Wolf, And The Strength Of The Wolf Is The Pack.
God, I miss being this hyped about Destiny. People ask me when Destiny had its Golden age, HERE! THIS! Shit like this right here. Listen to this and tell me you don't wanna throw down in PvP, or fight Crota, or Oryx.
No, it's not fixed and I can't even get any specialists to agree on the specific cause or how it should be treated. Quality of life has taken a hit but I decided to carry on with my music as best I can
Dan Bull Huh maybe what happened to one of the most famous musicians will happen to you...it would be incredibly sad but it could also leave to a new type of rap or song... -I hope it gets better :D
Now you can hear all my songs in my mega Spotify playlist - before they're even on RUclips!. Make sure you follow: spoti.fi/1QWwSQR

Dan Bull Mate do you realise how badass this tune is? You smashed it with this one mate. Respect.
Dan Bull just became legend.
or is he a beautiful bastard ???!?
I remember when Bungie tweeted this out, he truly deserves the views Bungie gave him. Wish i had a talent like him :/

It is his Destiny to become Legendary
Super as always

Love that bit 🖤
Soooooo good
This line is the summary of human ambition in nearly all media. It’s also the audacity that has led us from stone tools to the depths of space
I am not a destiny player but I am in love with it's aesthetics, I think is has some of the best art direction in the history of videogames.
The sky boxes are spot on
WHO PLAYS DESTINY?!
Cuz I do
I know im a bit late to your comment but i played destiny 1 all the time i would say that you could stop at almost any spot in the game and be in awe of how beautiful your surrondings are like there are a few points during the raids where i just took a step back and was like admiring how just how weird everything was its a pretty game its too bad its sequel sucks
Destiny One and D2 are both like that and it's incredible. Io especially is burnt into my memory as one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen
Saitama Fan boi? I play destiny I like the game
This video will be big.
Dave your right it will be
This is one of the best gaming raps I've heard for a long time, and no doubt the best destiny rap!
Ain't that the understatement.
It is it's Destiny to be big.
One of the best ideas buing this game in my life

Dan's just jealous, he knows you're a better rapper then him.

Voiceless Gamer not really
Strength of the pack is wolf and the strength of the wolf is the pack
It makes me think about my clan friends.

Every time
It's pretty sad when a rap about a fucking game is wayyy better then most rappers entire album
Damn you ain't lying M8.
savage but true
Witch albums are you talking about?
Insanely salty and savage, but so true
It's pretty sad when a raps better than a game

I think Dan Bull is pretty passionate about Destiny

3. He put the Law of the Jungle as the chorus. That doesn't really have to do with anything it just sounds really cool
There was a trailer or commercial for destiny that used the law of the jungle I think that is where Dan got it from for his rap
Dvid O'Donnell Jeez details are insane in this video
Details are insane in every dan video, I just love it
the jungle on veins is a vere important pes of destine
The Rudyard Kipling bit for the chorus is because of Destiny's "Wolfpack" theme that shows up in several places.
Dan Bull- The Eminem of Gaming
HEEELL YEEAAA!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Jacob Wheeler, I got stuck on the fact that the Tiger is voiced by Porthos from BBC's 'Musketeers'. Great show, by the way.

Well said
Couldn’t have said it better myself, my brother in light 👏
Still can't get over this, danbull has single handedly kept destiny relevant to me
I was more impressed with this rap than I was with the game itself. Well done
Wasn't hard to outdo the game. Not saying this rap was better just because the game sucked. I was actually impressed by the rap
The incompletion is just another gimmick. By the end of its "10 year" life, and hundreds of dollars in DLC later, it might be a complete game
the game wasn't shit your either lazy and wont grind or your shit at it
FlippingPenguin I have grinded since I hit level 20. The game wasn't that great though. Grinding shouldn't have to be a part of the game. Same shit, all the time.

Rise of iron looks sick AF
I noticed ;)
+Alex Cunningham stop. No.
+Alex Page I should have said have said 'hive been taken' too bad
I heard this song when it was first uploaded. I think after this whole time it is still the best Destiny rap on youtube.
Mr. NerdyGamer Pretty much the case with all his game raps lol
that moment when you realize that this rap has more thought put into it then the game itself....
DAN BULL!
SO FAHKING TRUE
xXx_Ruby_Rose[MLG]_XxX is DOMINATING Destiny
I honestly enjoy the fan made stuff more than the game now.

Whenever I want to play some Destiny this song goes through my head. Every. Single. Time. It's glorious.
Song has Saved my life, not once, but twice now.
Reminds me of good times, makes me remember I am not alone
More power to you brother! It helped me as well
We're all glad you're still here man. See you starside for The Final Shape.
We’re all here! You’re never truly only bro, not only is God by our side but we have many brothers and sisters out here all trying to make it as well :)
Hope you’re doing okay man, here’s to the finale of the Destiny series 🎉
Nine years later. Still a dope song. What a nostalgia hit this is.
It was a fun ride. Made some great friends. Even defeated The Witness. But it wasn’t the darkness that extinguished the light after these long years. It was Bungie management.
Everyone comes back to this song. I'll be here when you do.
Part of this song was in the jungle book. I knew the law of the jungle and could recite it word for word in the movie it was awesome
+Noah Green lol cool i know it off by heart coz i listen to this too much xD
I know right
+REAL JUKES [NGHTMRE] - BLITZ BRIGADE & MORE Me too xD
Same
the reason that verse is in the song is because the law of the jungle was the theme for one of the earliest destiny trailers. give it a look. :)
I love the section 0:45 - 1:00, there is such a defiant resolve in the lyrics, amazing.
And that's how trailes should be made :3
OMG yes
YES
Lol Ikr
Dan Bull should be paid to advertise games.
I'm pretty sure that is the trailer bro :P
The most underrated rap ever
Whenever I lose faith in destiny, I watch this to bring me back to it.
Same actually.
Use to play Destiny back then. Dont play it anymore but ive been playing Helldivers lately and been thinking of this song as I play it.
This song really hits deep, I've always loved destiny and this video is totally epic, thanks Dan
I swear Dan, this is probably the best one you've ever done.
A Guardian is never alone.
May the good light guide your way.
Merletastic Damien Edward=Untamed Guardian....WTF??
Still here, 6 years later. Crazy to see how far Destiny has come, Beyond Light just came out.
The rap is alot better than the game suprisingly. Good job, Dan!
dans job usually ends up selling the game better than it is. He's an insane advertising tool and gaming companies have clicked on to that
Time flies by
Hits different after Final Shape
It's been 3 years since I heard this. This song helped me through a lot of rough times snd coming back to it, I still know every word. I made myself a plaque with the words "The strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack". This has definitely made an impact on me in a hard time and I just wanted to say thank you Dan Bull.
Same here, this song brings back so many memories and so much nostalgia
I appreciate how angry this sounds at certain points. Truly humanities retribution.
Commander Zavala lives on in the hearts of every Guardian.
Still listening to this in 2019
I just came back and I'm depressed now. This game was my whole childhood. Rip D1, the best game made.
This was the most poetic rap i have ever heard of. Its so good because he took it very serious
LOL they can't appreciate a well made mmorpgfps, kids these days... ☺
FireFall was better anyways.
This is shit for an mmoFPS. Firefall has more classes and is free.
namethisman43 if you determine how good a game is based on how many classes it has and how much it costs, then you clearly have no business speaking up on the subject. Opinions are great, but dont try to make it sound like a fact, youre just embarrassing yourself.
First reason people really hate the dlc and also there people kicked out of multiple reasons also how they have patches and glitches of people seeing the work of dlc but also I like the game but every games has problems
One of my favorite raps from you Dan 👊 So good much respect man :) And my Destiny copy comes tomorrow!
Got mine on launch and dont regret it
Spartakas999 Awesome!
Marvinator154 you want be disappointed :-)
pshhht I got the Destiny white PS4 on release day
Back in 2015, when this and other VG raps by Dan Bull were available, they were the banger songs at my side while I worked out my way back into physical health.
10/10 ost, thanks Dan Bull. Stay awesome.
This Is The Law Of The Jungle,
As Old And As True As The Sky,
The Wolf That Shall Keep It May Prosper,
But The Wolf That Shall Break It Must Die.
As The Creeper That Girdles The Tree Trunk,
The Law Runneth Forward And Back,
For The Strength Of The Pack Is The Wolf,
And The Strength Of The Wolf Is The Pack.
chills. literally, chills.
Snowblind / xIllusionZ one, gave me chills
two, reminded me of my good memories from year one 🤧
One of the best GAME RAP videos EVER.
God, I miss being this hyped about Destiny. People ask me when Destiny had its Golden age, HERE! THIS! Shit like this right here. Listen to this and tell me you don't wanna throw down in PvP, or fight Crota, or Oryx.
Dan Bull every song you make you all ways take it to the next level keep it up.Good Job ;)
This song flows so well.
did dan's ear thing get fixed? this rap seems to have more life then most recent ones.
No, it's not fixed and I can't even get any specialists to agree on the specific cause or how it should be treated. Quality of life has taken a hit but I decided to carry on with my music as best I can
Dan Bull oh man... that sucks :c the best of luck to you, pall!
Dan Bull You've got loads of talent and IMO your music is better than what's on the radio theses days.
GL with life. :D
Dan Bull Is it linked to your jaw movement or your breathing pattern by any chance ?
Dan Bull Huh maybe what happened to one of the most famous musicians will happen to you...it would be incredibly sad but it could also leave to a new type of rap or song...
-I hope it gets better :D
Rest in peace Lance... you will be missed
man this masterpiece takes me back... oh how i miss the good ole D1 days. cant believe that was 10yrs ago...
