Me and the bois were playing Mario Kart in the School's library/rec center on the big screen. This one dude decided to do the Big Blue shortcut whilst screaming "YYYYYEEEEEAAAAAHH!" up until he got hit by a blue shell. We were laughing the entire rest of the race. XD
Obviously on 150 you can only do the first part of that shroomless cut,but you can do both of those little skips at the end too, and the 3 combined together save an INSANE amount of time! I believe I have played 4-5 Online races on this track, and my closest victory has been 5 seconds, and I still haven't lost yet! Must be why it's my new favorite MK track lol

Which do you think is better for 200cc: Lightweights/Middleweights in a kart that doesn't need to brake too often to make turns, yet has a lack of speed. Or heavyweights with the fastest karts and simply brake drift around most corners. Which do you think is faster? Also, does this shortcut require a heavyweight with a speed-heavy vehicle? Or can this be done with smaller weight classes?

Yo I've tried this but from what I've experimented it only works well with speed combos on 200cc (which is a suicide mission anyways). Idk maybe I'm just bad lol
fahad omair Actually, you can use ANY character now and it feels even unlike before in 150cc which Heavies completely dominated. Granted the lightweights are at a better advantage due to superior Handling, In other words, this feels like Mario Kart Wii which felt the most balanced in terms of weight class stats (not including the Bonus stats)
If you live in a country that doesn't support the eshop like mine, just set your country to the closest country that supports it(mine is england). You can download the dlc then(you still need to pay for it ofc)

I want to own the complete game, and also I want it to become retro gaming, so people can buy it and enjoy it in the future, myself included. I think this is a fair dlc, the vanilla game had just as many tracks and vehicles as the previous ones. It's not like ea games where the newer tittles has less features than their predecessor just to add it later in the dlc. Btw you would support the dlc just as much if you would buy it in a complete phisical copy.

The truth sucks but it is what it is. Everyone loves to attack someone like me for speaking up about issues like this, but the real bad guys here are the people who support it.
I'm not attacking you, I just give you my honest opinion. When servers go down, we will have hacks for the system so we can acces the things that are limited. We still have ctgp for mkwii, by now we can emulate wii on pc(also we can upres it to 1080p) accesing all the games from the libary
Is Nintendo going to patch this? It's no MG or GV glitch but I know some game devs patch this kind of stuff. Hopefully they don't though, because MK8 is severely lacking in the shortcut department.
How heavy do you need to be to pull this off? (I mostly just race with my Mii and the Flame Rider bike, so perhaps I can work it out with the Monster tires?)

The best thing about 200cc is that there technically isn't a "best combo". So many combos are viable.
