lol this guy speaks the way I wish I'd speak, but I'm naturally drawn to spew out a ton of words. I've always secretly admired slow speakers who could constantly look annoyed but gathered at the same time.
Neil is so light and big and relaxed, the very aura of this person is true. Their input is so huge. Also, the 13th Floor Elevators ref is very clear, both the music and biography.
I’d like to add that shoegaze did NOT emerge in England- it began in IRELAND by a band called My Bloody Valentine, this band created the whole genre of shoegaze. People need to get their facts straight.
MBV did not single handedly create the genre, my god. Also they’re probably the most overrated band of the last 40 years. Loveless is a pretentious slog.
@@Camreeyan I don't know if I'd say the album was pretentious without the pretension that Kevin Shields adds to it, if that makes sense. Or maybe it's the self-absorbed preciousness of it. As a fan of guitar effects pedals and other things making a wall of pretty noise, I think its all interesting and sometimes beautiful or moving, but a lot of it leaves me cold and just feels self indulgent towards no end except to be different. Most of their songs just give me a shoulder shrug.
Yup, a Dallas shoegaze band during that era did that. The guitarists mostly looked down at their stomp boxes and pedal boards, always making adjustments to get the complex layered sounds.
Do they realize that they're IMMORTAL?....No child with even moderate Goth instincts can overlook this band.
Neil is a creative genius and the stuff in Mojave and his solo material is truly fantastic
Slowdive absolutely great and very underrated
Baby’s Coming Home
Rachel looks so beautiful.
Neil is one of my fave all time songwriters. His solo work and Mojave stuff is just the best. Thanks for posting this!
welcome back, Slowdive! She's still looks amazing after two decades. Love her! 아름답다!

shes's still pretty my goodness. Fine wine
I saw them last night... A dream come true! And I met her! She's so beautiful!
I really really hope that I can see them live
Did you?
They are still so good !
i ve always had such cruch on her, her vocals are mesmerizing
A NEW RECORD WOOOOOOOO
Neil is a doppelganger for a younger "whispering" Bob Harris of Old Grey Whistle Test fame, right down to the chiller than chill demeanor.
Rachel is a dream.
I'll see them live in late june!!! It's so great!!: )

MBV were not the only founders yk.

I courteously disagree.
@@TheFibtasticOverrated is valid, but I wouldn't say Loveless is pretentious slog. Some of their other work maybe (the song Glider in particular)

I was at this show front row, if I recall it was 1994 and that’s Ride headlining. The stage rotated slowly.
Rachel has a sort of coarse voice, and I think she has always had it. It is so strange that she can sing in sucha siren range.
Amazing!
We still want you to do another gig in HK. Slowdive or Mojave 3.
Ugh! Cut out at the best part of the song! Have to go listen to it now.
So glad this exists
Would be interesting if they can do some Cocteau Twins Covers
Rachel. Oh my love. I wish I could meet you on 90's. I was give you my life
5:05 what song is playing on the background?
Catch The Breeze ♥
song at 1:40?
Sounds like "Slowdive" (yes, they have a song called Slowdive). It's on the "Blue Day" EP.
@@LLproductions01 thanks a lot pal!
shoegaze is the name because of all of the guitar pedals
or maybe the introverted singers with low charisma :)))

put your phones down
i share a birthday with her :' )
