What'd you think about what I said about the new music I talked about in this video? Please let me know! Also, let me know if you have any new releases that came out today you want me to review in next week's video.
I’m so excited for a bonus review on Monday. Been a while since the last one you did with Seventh Day Slumber, right? Since I thought you were going to review Cory Asbury last year, it looks like he is releasing new versions for a deluxe edition of Pioneer. I’ve heard some of the songs from the album, as well as the new collaborations. Today he put out Pioneer with Connor Smith who I’m not familiar with. I understand that week (9/15/2023) also had Switchfoot and Needtobreathe and the Pat Barrett song Scatter but I was expecting to see Cory’s new direction. To be fair, I’m not really into Cory, so that’s why I didn’t request the album when it first came out.
The Christian Life, thanks. I'm glad you're looking forward to the bonus review. Yes, there are 5 releases on this one. Brandon Lake's single Coat Of Many Colors was actually my last bonus review, but yes, it's been a while. Thanks for requesting Cory Asbury's new version of Pioneer and I look forward to reviewing it. Conner Smith is a country artist, and I actually am a fan of his. I actually did an initial listen for Cory Asbury's album Pioneer when it came out intending to review it, but ended up removing it from that week's review lineup when my mom texted me Pat Barrett's single Scatter that night. I knew it might be surprising to not do Cory's album, but it was a crowded release week as you said, and I had to make some tough decisions. That being said, this new version of Pioneer is indeed for a deluxe edition coming out 9/6, so this might very well be my second chance to review that album after not doing it last year. I'll take your comment as a request to do so this go around.
Hey Tyler! Good review of Gable Price! I agree with your thoughts! I’d also add that is seems like a bit of a departure from their other albums especially “Fractioned Heart”. It’s good music, but still different instrumentation. Lyrics are less about God and more about human connection with themes of religion. He’s leaning more toward a secular audience. Taking after Colony House and the like it seems. Anyway, just thought I’d share some of my thoughts on it! Good work, Tyler!
@therealcalebrz Thanks for watching. I'm glad you liked Gable Price & Friends' new EP. I do agree that it is a little less rock than the alternative pop/rock on their last couple of projects. I still felt like it was kind of Christian talking about our relationship with God, but maybe that's how I interpreted it. I haven't really heard their stuff before the If I'm Being Honest... EP, though. I like Colony House, by the way. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Caleb, and I'm glad you liked my review of Gable Price and Friends' new EP.

By the way, is this going to be similar to the bonus review you did with 5 releases? Thanks.
