I am still fishing with my original 1967 Model 1495 Pflueger Medalist I bought for $9.95 I believe. American made. Original parts. The drag never fails. I have caught hundreds of Trout , Steelhead, and Salmon in the last 50 years with it. It's been dunked in saltwater many times. On a whim, I bought a fancy very expensive reel 10 years ago. It lasted about 90 days. The new reels and rods can not hold up over time or years of strenuous use. I still use my fly rod which is an original SAGE 4 piece 5#. I received it in 1973! American made. Original guides. The guide wrappings have even changed color over the years. I fish to fish. Not make a fashion statement.
    No..they are not for sale.

Hard to beat Lanson reels for both quality and value. Sad to see Ross to high priced.

Lamson are great reels and we carry those as well. We just did a video on our local brand here in Montrose.

Able reels and Ross reels are a big rip off

I have freshwater Ross reels and I have $30 Maxcatch Amazon reels. I'm not saying there's no difference but the difference in performance doesn't justify the difference in price. I catch the same amount of trout on both.
