- Hi & welcome to another weekly food shopping haul for our family of five. This week I went to Tesco as they seem to have a lot of price matches with Aldi plus some good clubcard offers!

The knorr stockpots are amazing in slow cooker, I use them with beef stew and dumplings, yummy.
I always keep my potatoes in the fridge and they last for ages and don’t go soft 💋

Tesco does the 2 kg bags of potatoes to get rid of the 'old' stock. New harvest came in and is getting stored but they want to sell as much as possible of the older ones. That is when the 2 kg bags show up. Also when they go back to 2.5 kg bags the price will have gone up aswell. Before the 2 kg bags the 2.5 kg bags of the alround potatoes was £1.25, wait and see what the price will be when they go back to 2.5kg this time.
Victoria everything’s shrunk in weight but doubled in price, why…….. because they can! 😮
Good food haul. I actually thought you got a lot for your money there. I know £100 not cheap, but all the meat / cheese well everything. That joint of beef was a great price & skow cooking it for well you going to get a few meals from that joint. I'm also a black pepper fiend, I have black pepper on everything sometimes white pepper as well. I also like their chicken steaks as well , nice quality & a good price. Aah fish night is 1 I have planned as well, got a crab 🦀 in the freezer ( for my husband, i love crab as well but I like mine out of a tin, already done no faff, he likes cracking the claws etc getting the meat out!! So thought crab, I have some scampi in the freezer, then get some prawns & or mussels & some smoked salmon. Make some nice dips then have with chips & nice baguette, so I might save that meal for Christmas eve !! Sounds like you have some nice meals planned Vicki
The shrinking of the packet sizes has a name… “shrink-flation”. Essentially, it’s a way for companies to charge you the same price- however, providing you a bit less.
Looks like you bought chicken soup for your Mac and cheese. Does that really work? I thought it was cream of chicken soup you bought (non condensed) before. I would think chicken soup would be a thin broth.
Wow those babybel cheese are cheap. For the 10 pack in OZ on special today they are $9 and just over $6 for the 5 pk 😮
I've noticed most super markets don't do 6 pint cartons of milk eigher now. 😢
