Watching this was much a much better shopping experience than I had today! Its a holiday weekend this weekend in the US but me being absent minded I decided to go shopping late morning/ early afternoon and it was packed. Never again, like I've probably said in the past too! The worst was Aldi..not the shopping..the paying! I only bought a few things and decided to use cash instead of card. I had a small plastic sandwich bag with coin in it. As I was sorting through to pick out the correct ones the next thing I knew a handful had fallen to the floor. Before I had a chance to pick them up the cashier jumped out of her chair and said she'd get them for me. That embarrassed me ...she counted as she picked up and I was 1 coin short. As she told me that exact coin fell out of my hand and landed on the floor. I felt like she thought I did it on purpose. I apologized over and over. UGH...
My local supermarket used to lower prices to 10p in the evenings. Not anymore. Its reduced but nowhere near as much sadly. In the past £2 stawberries, would of been lowered to 10p later in the evening. Now likely it seems to be 84p at the cheapest
I've been following a japanese vlogger. I noticed with their tofu they tend to eat it quite a bit uncooked...she literally just drains and slices t, puts it in a plate, and puts a dipping sauce of some description over it, or for dipping. It tends to look like the silken tofu they use for that...not dure many westerners would stomach it raw though
I love mushrooms and cherries, have u tried the pink vimto - raspberry ,orange and passion fruit nom nom . Like IB I'm trying not to eat wheat , it really is difficult, it's in everything , I never realized how much I eat , so I've been discovering stuff I can try that's non wheat through you. Thanks , I appreciate it x
Wow, I just saw your channel. The way you say “the horde is gone” made me giggle. I’m about to go shopping myself for some soft food, cause I lost a crack tooth and parts of it still in gums and need surgery to get out. And you gave me the idea of getting some tofu today.
They had that gluten free rolled pastry in heron 3 for £1, I didn't realise you cant freeze it and the date was the next day, I still have 1 in fridge days later, I keep wondering if I can risk it x
It amazes me the wide variety of ready meals for vegetarians but none for us gluten free people, theres never anything different for us even at christmas and VERY expensive, i feel they could do better, I love pasties burt its only ginsters that do gluten free and they are £3.60!!!!
I can’t eat onions 🧅 so I buy spring onions, leeks, chives etc for that onion flavour. I don’t eat the white part of the spring onion or leeks. I think it was me that mentioned the gluten free pastry being in the free from section.,😊 Glad you found it. I’ve started drinking kefir as you mentioned IB liked it. It’s low in lactose, and it seems to be helping my tummy issues that I developed after having my gallbladder removed. The shops own gluten free pasta is perfectly fine. Just don’t overcook it and don’t boil the water too rapidly. I add a drop of olive oil to the water too and give the pasta a gentle stir while cooking. I bought a Sholley trolley. Well, it was a gift off my family actually. A great investment. Maybe look on EBay for a used one Imo to see how you get on with them. Mine is quite bulky, so probably not easy to get on the bus with. But for walking to and from the shops they are fantastic. You can buy spares for them too: wheels, 🛞 handles etc. Great shopping video. Oh and rice noodles are generally gluten free. I add them to stir fries, they bulk the meal out lovely. ☺️ xx Have a great bank holiday, and enjoy your coffee. ☕️ 😉
