Yes, the Z623/625 are still worth it in 2021. They are the best speakers in it's class compared to Klipsch, JBL, and even Bose for the price. I’ve had this for 6+ years now, it finally gave out in 2018. The cable was giving out, the left speaker started to cut off sometimes when you put pressure on the subwoofer, and the power button to turn on the speakers made static noises with pressure. Ok now that I had it for almost two weeks. I am not sure why, but the sound got lot better. Maybe there really is something called break in the speakers, or my ears got used to it.
This must be a newer version it looks alot different, the older version had full Logitech written on the sub and the satellite speakers I have the newer version were it just says logi
I bought a set about 5 6 years ago for $140 now they're $280. Unfortunately I sold them I went into jbhifi today and someone put the price as 159 instead of 259 on sale. And being the way the rules are I got it for 159 🥳🥳🥳
@@darrenjk5438 Oh, well I have a PS5 and I wasn't at home to check if it has an optical but my optical is plugged directly into my TV. And you can plug the 3.5mm into the controller.
Why is it so difficult to find a good desktop speaker? Almost all of them have a horrible abstract look to it. The decent looking ones like the Z333 by Logitech has a FAKE tweeter. wtf? The Bose, looks old school and no subwoofer. This Z623 has a weird melted look to it. The Z407 looks okay but no tweeter just mids and base.
The sound quality is nice with the right placement, but the satellites assembly quality is a piece of junk. At higher volumes, above 50% they are prone to resonating at certain low-mid range frequencies.
Your speakers are strange it displays logi, on mine it's logitech i think its the US version that's all i can think off. Oh and best 2.1 Speakers you cant buy! got this on special about 5 years ago from JB Hi fi for $118.
most of the times they blow up cuz the speakers are kinda underpowered, the 200 watt rating isnt really that true i would say the sub is 70 watts and the satellites are around 15 watts
If anyone is thinking about buying speakers in the 100$ pricerange the best you can get are the Edifiers 1280. The Logitechs tend to sound quite muddy, the bass is boomy and they aren't very detailed (they don't even have a tweeter, the Edifiers do tho). They might sound impressive for movies and games, because of the extra subwoofer, but ultimately they fall apart and quickly lose detail for anything more complicated e.g. in crazy action scenes you might find it hard to comprehend voices as they are overpowered by the bass or in music with lots of instruments you might not even hear some of them. The Edifier still have more than enough bass at this size tho and I think they even go quite a bit louder without distorting as much. This is not critiquing the review or anything, just a purchase recommendation for anyone in the market for a 100$ speaker set as it is objectively for most people the better purchase. If anyone needs a recommendation for a speakerset at any pricepoint feel free to hit me up, I researched quite a lot the past few months so I know the options quite well.
Haha 🤣 for starters you have the satellites wrong the one with the volume knob must be on the right side, and the bass knob it's supposed to be at 12 o'clock for neutral sound (not exaggerated, overpowered bass). I mean bass on that speaker it's already very heavy with knob on default 12 o'clock setting.

DANG and I feel suckered! I haven't installed it yet but I paid a $169 for today it better sound good I tell you that, at 400 W the other one I traded it in for it was 80 so it should be a big difference. I hope setup is easy.
is it good i’m looking into these?😅
how is it
I love it when people say silly things like *see* how they sound.
I just bought one for 145 dollars and I am a little disappointed. I have this Creative Inspire 2.1 2400 which I bought in 2001 for around 6 dollars. It still sounds better than Z623. Thought it would be an upgrade for me, but z623 is just loud and the music is not clear.
I am looking for an electricity board for z623 subwoofer how anyone could help me To repair mine
I bought a set about 5 6 years ago for $140 now they're $280. Unfortunately I sold them
I went into jbhifi today and someone put the price as 159 instead of 259 on sale. And being the way the rules are I got it for 159 🥳🥳🥳
Can someone please clarify if this speaker system can connect to a ps4/5
Connect is via 3.5mm jack to your monitor should work fine. I’m also planning on buying this and connecting it to my Series X
Yea you can plug the 3.5mm into your controller or plug an optical cable directly to your TV/PS4/PS5.
@@hoopblaze you cant plug it into the ps5. It doesnt have a 3.5mm jack in the console nor a optical audio like what the ps4/pro and xbox one had
@@darrenjk5438 Oh, well I have a PS5 and I wasn't at home to check if it has an optical but my optical is plugged directly into my TV. And you can plug the 3.5mm into the controller.
Not directly, but if your tv has a rca or 3.5 mm jack output you can connect the speaker to your tv and get the sound of your console of course.
Im thinking buy that speakers, 150€ cost here.
I ended up with the the Z625 due to the optical input.
Digital D class crap full crap not good much worse
Why is it so difficult to find a good desktop speaker? Almost all of them have a horrible abstract look to it.
The decent looking ones like the Z333 by Logitech has a FAKE tweeter. wtf?
The Bose, looks old school and no subwoofer.
This Z623 has a weird melted look to it. The Z407 looks okay but no tweeter just mids and base.
The sound quality is nice with the right placement, but the satellites assembly quality is a piece of junk. At higher volumes, above 50% they are prone to resonating at certain low-mid range frequencies.
How is sound clarity and quality bro
Great!
I have this model z623 2 years is amazing system 2.1 King
You forgot to to mention..one word..THX sound..
You got it! Brilliant!
Where is yhe sound?
bought 5 sold 3... great deal
Your speakers are strange it displays logi, on mine it's logitech i think its the US version that's all i can think off. Oh and best 2.1 Speakers you cant buy! got this on special about 5 years ago from JB Hi fi for $118.
WHERE DO I GET ONE FOR TLESS THAN $100?
This or samsung HW-B450
logitech z623 or 625.
I would buy a z906 or 5500 they have a bigger and more powerful subwoofer. Also they won't destroy themselfes as the z623
most of the times they blow up cuz the speakers are kinda underpowered, the 200 watt rating isnt really that true i would say the sub is 70 watts and the satellites are around 15 watts
no Bluetooth, pen drive input or mmc input.
Is it possible plugin the speaker without connect to audio interface? I'm in tight budget so i dont want to spend money on audio interface..
Just got them. Honestly not really impressed. About to return and get these logitech
What alternatives did you find
Haha 🤣 for starters you have the satellites wrong the one with the volume knob must be on the right side, and the bass knob it's supposed to be at 12 o'clock for neutral sound (not exaggerated, overpowered bass). I mean bass on that speaker it's already very heavy with knob on default 12 o'clock setting.
it cost in Bangladesh 13000tk bdt
they are 210 euros in eu lol
Your desk is too small for these speakers.
I got a bigger one!
thats cool i buy it just yestrday it's powerful speaker .... i did buy it for 35 $ :0
cool
Looking to replace my bose as well. You still stand by this or you using something else? @novus
thats not even a z623 its a z625
The look/design of these seems outdated. Not a fan.
1:29 Bro, subwoofers are not made from metal... It's from wood actually
tyl criss de roux jpeut tu juste entendre le son pis pas toé
"polymer" lol you mean plastic
If you never spent more then 50 dollars on speakers your are in no place to be recommending speakers
