In this video, I’ll show you how to make the delicious and aromatic Hyderabadi Green Chicken, also known as "Hara Masala Chicken." This dish is a flavorful blend of fresh herbs, spices, and tender chicken that brings the unique taste of Hyderabad right to your kitchen.
Ingredients:
500g chicken (cut into pieces)
1 cup fresh coriander leaves
½ cup fresh mint leaves
2-3 green chilies (adjust to taste)
1 large onion, finely sliced
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 cup yogurt
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
½ teaspoon garam masala
Salt to taste
Lemon wedges for garnish
Instructions:
1. Blend coriander leaves, mint leaves, and green chilies to make a smooth paste.
2. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
3. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown. Then, add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.
4. Add the green paste and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat.
5. Mix in the chicken pieces, salt, and yogurt. Cover and cook until the chicken is tender.
6. Sprinkle garam masala and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
7. Garnish with lemon wedges and serve hot with rice or naan.
