- So TCM has been sort of on a downward slope for players since the game released. Now that is due to a numerous amount of factors, other games simply just offering something better and more worth your time to play and due to some of the choices the devs have made about certain updates. Taking away PC crossplay early in this games life span really hindered it and I don't think the game ever fully recovered to be honest.
So i'm talking today about how the game can redeem itself next year!

They’ve really got to clean up grappling. As a victim, I’m tired of winning a grapple against a family member and then l’m in “grapple limbo” for 3 second after the animation is complete. Then a family member being able to insta kill me after the animation is done.

They need to find an equal grappling balance , as a family main grappling as become a horrible meta lately, it's to the point that victims will chase you down so they can grapple you .
As a family main, i agree. The time gap is enough for me to get the kill. Needs to get fixed

I agree with the instant kill , if you getting doubled in a grappling animation that the victim cause that’s like a consequence type of thing

Different map variations would be nice. Night/day/rain/fog variants. Also would be cool if there was certain pathways blocked off or opened up randomly when you play the map so it’s different every time. For example, the gap in the middle of gas station. Would be cool if sometimes it was wide open with no barrier, sometimes there was a gap like it is now, and sometimes it was completely blocked off. They can rework the exit areas and the game can choose a random variation every time as well. Would keep things fresh having to navigate the map different every time.
I like that idea, would keep people on their toes for random spawns and would keep the maps relatively fresh
Great vid man. Good point about possible Easter eggs they could put in round the map. Considering most the player base are huge fans too they’d go crazy for that.
Ya, what they said about the weather effects was ridiculous. If they don't want to add rain at least add night versions of Slaughterhouse and Nancy's House.

My problem with the game now is that people are dodging lobby by looking at the person ability or perks level to use it as a reference to see if they have experience or not and people just left when they see it. I play family and wanted to try new characters but when they see that my abilities is 0 or 1 they just leave.

The reason I think we don’t have weather cycles is bc this is set in the Texas heat. It’s even addressed through the game and series itself

A battlepass is 100% needed in this game like i dont see why people hate battlepasses its literally a way to get a bunch of content for such a small price and also it gives you something to work towards.
Exactly, just usually when I bring the idea up of a battlepass people just default to "ergh Fortnite, not every game needs a battlepass" and they complain that they don't have the time to grind one so they miss out on the content...
But for me looking at this games current content offering, not much more than the base game offered us, it's 100% needed in this game.
But yeah it's a win win imo, the game gets funded and people stick around and play it for hours and hours to unlock stuff

Lobby dodging is still a real thing they need to give penalties to people dodging lobbies it's horrible
Yeah, I don't mind if they leave 1 or 2 lobbies but I legit see people lobby hopping all the time and it's making the waiting to get into the game horrible

I like how they can be transparent to the players and try to be honest but sometimes it's best to just keep quiet because it can really make them look like they don't know what they're doing, saying stuff like that about the weather effects was easily one of the most bizarre responses I've heard from developers.
I'm done with this game and finally realised how mediocre and limited it was. Its a soccer moms game and i can honestly say i've never really had that much fun playing it and the only time i even got any type of adrenaline rush from it was getting my first 4K with Hitcher. The Game just bores the hell out of me now and i don't find it challenging or competitive in any way, i just go through the motions playing it.
It's just lacking, always questioning while you're playing, "is this worth my time?" Sure you can have fun in a few games but then it's just stagnant after that

The only sort of bad review this game got was from IGN funny enough it's like they predicted this shit to happen and yeah I love Texas chainsaw massacre this game got me to watch the movies and enjoy them but frankly I have no idea why anyone praised gun for this

Personally the wait times can be solved easily imo, just make it so you can search with an already picked character - meaning if you want to play connie or cook or whatever, it searches for a lobby where you're already locked in on your character nobody can take them away from you.
A lot of people lobby hop just based on not getting the characters they want to play.
As a new player my main issue is xp feels really slow and solo queue needs better ways to communicate not dependent on voice chat.
My issues when I started my first day was there not being an offline practice mode and learning maps - which the practice mode would help with.
Other issues I see are the skill tree paths limiting character build variety.
Having to respec to play another way sucks and is time consuming.
As a new player you feel very behind and weak when you start - this can also affect your queue times due to people not wanting to play with new players.
You talked about player retention but you seem to focus a lot on veterans as if the playerbase was big enough, didn't talk about the new player experience.
I think they said in one of the Dev streams they wouldn't add role queuing like that...which is a shame
Also yeah they need a com wheel because pc players can type stuff so console should have a com wheel.
I do realize their is some new players but tbh the game is in a hopeless spot for anyone new trying to get into it and that is probably deserving of it's whole new video.
Just wait till they add the extra on skill trees...even more new players are going to struggle 😕

I don't think making a character cue would do any good, i mean if everyone is trying to play Connie you still need other players to fill the loby up, so it would just add more variables for matchmaking.
The skill tree was a thing that i thinked was cool at the start, but now i see some problems. People talk about when you reach 99 you don't have anything to do but the respec system makes you be able to level up any character that you want, once you hit something around 40 you can level your mains and respec If you want to test things out, this makes the progression worse.
And the skill tree limits too much your perks choices, you want to test builds out, but the perks can't be played toghether, it's really killing the diversity and perks like choose flight need to be rebalanced because people don't even know how to do chases without it anymore.

They need to fix the animation opening and shutting the escape doors. I always shut the door on myself because that animation is so wonky.

honestly disappointing, I've hady fun with the game but the devs have no idea what they want, they have some goods here in there like lobby showing perks but they are so incapable of making something good, games gonna hit rock bottom and if it doesn't good if this game can save it self it'll be worth coming back too but right now its just full of
insta death, insta escapes, infinite wall gaps, max out proficiency, break locks and make family's search area too big for them too cover, and take wall gaps that need 2 family members while the other 3 free victims do something else for free and escape.

39:00 the problem with a battle pass for this game, is that they got no content to put into a battle pass, gotta love them 6 months to make content, it would be cool if they did make a battle pass, idk if it's long, i care that it can be grinded later, but they just don't have content for the battle pass any way, like you say they can be cosmetics in the battle pass, but there isn't even cosmetics in the base game, hell even the one they sell, they got none.
Yeah they need to heavily invest in a cosmetic department. I didn't share the idea in this video but having some side things in the battlepass since the game offers profile pictures, why not just add some of cook etc that you can unlock in there too
Just got here 4 months later, but I agree with a lot of this but I would love to see the attributes have either a big tweak or a rework, as I feel like it’s unnatural that a sissy can kill me in 3 hits where a hitch takes 7

When did by daylight finally added, cross play they had everything working day one I can just invite people that are cross platform they just show up on my friends list and I just click add or join their party and it’s a simple as that

Prediction: Most likely graveyard would be out in the end of February since it took Julie to come out in 3 months after play test and Danny 3 months after game released as well.
I wouldn’t mind funny or cool type of costumes for all the characters, it doesn’t have to make sense all the time

You shouldn't be getting hate you're saying youre opinion, I've noticed the game has lost alot of players over the Christmas period,plus I'm in a discord group for tcm and not very many have been playing due to loss of interest, I was on Wednesday there and I literally played 3 games and went onto cyberpunk again because tcm literally bored me I only played family I won all 3 games but even at that I still got bored, I just think this game doesn't have potential and after once the devs have made a bit of money from it they will announce they will do no more content etc and that will be it just like evil dead
I think this is worse than evil dead right now. Even with evil dead we were expecting something really cool for the next content like Ruby or someone coming from the TV show but this is just original content not much to get hyped for
@ItzPixel yeah totally agree with you, when tcm first came out I was hyped but now when they didn't do Halloween event or that just shows the devs don't care. It's a shame, it is what it is.

I would hope it does but I know they've been on vacation for a while now, but they need to start this year strong or the playerbase just won't get any confidence in playing this game moving forward

One shotting victims takes no skill tbh, lost count how many times I've done it, it's kind of crayon eating power.
Also there's like one perk "no sell" that negates it, there's not plenty.

His one shot is completely fine because you can easily evade LF with the multiple gaps and crawl spaces. Turning fast also helps to evade it, literally just don't run in a straight line.
It's also a chainsaw, not a butter knife.
Let's not forget his chainsaw is also bugged and has been forever now.
I mean, i don't play the game anymore...but I had numerous amount of clips of this one shot hitting me while he's turning/attacking in the opposite direction, so "turning fast" never really worked with this games 12 tick servers.
Tweaking and fixing parts of the game will not bring back the volume of players that left after issues with balancing or the game being stale. The only thing balancing would do is retain its current player base.
The only way you can bring an influx of players and keeep them would be to create a solid expansion that improves and every portion of the game (new content, balance, graphics) then market the hell out of it. The issue is, you need money for that gamble

The public is here and It would be really cool to have multiple cases regarding the family to introduce new characters and maps
1. Don't make ur game to serious, because if you take ur game to seriously? That's how you kill ur game, if you want ur game to be serious? Make a story mode
2. Make a roadmap, the texas battle pass, and make the characters free
3. Add A.I bots aka offline mode
4. Fix the maps & make the escapes really difficult to escape? 😂
5. New escapes, new spawn escapes, and yes i already said this but I'll say it again, make the escapes really hard to escape & work as team
6. Have the victims able defend themselves rather running like bunch idiots lol
7. Try to get the licenses from the tcm films
8. Fix the background menu
9. Fix the lobby dodging
10. Randomized the maps & separate the family & victims to a different lobby, kinda like what evil dead did
11. Add a weather mechanics to the maps
12. Fix the door slaps
And soooo....................................
All those are possible they have stated they’re not doing weather effects it’s too hard apparently

I don’t feel like the games going to have much longevity no matter what because that’s just the game itself. How many people already stopped playing months ago and it kinda just continuous to dwindle down. They went for an asym game based on the tcm movie. The only asym horror actually lasting is dbd which is just horror in general so they’ve got liscenses to get from so many popular horror characters where as tcm is just tcm. They also want to stay realistic so we aren’t getting crazy cosmetics. Map weather and new maps isn’t going to change that it’s going to get boring very quickly. Only so much they can do with custom characters as well that’s going to fit. Dbd has a better range tcm has attributes and certain things powers are based off of that fit the game which sooner or later are going to become repetitive. New maps and characters I don’t think is going to save it. I feel like it will maybe last a bit in 2024 and then it will just be like evil dead and shit like that which just has its people that still play no matter what. They release a new map and characters and people are going to want something two seconds later. Danny and Nancy are still pretty new and people already want something else since they were leaked previously so they were already expected so there was no real excitement. If anything the characters are hated and weren’t well thought out. With how stuff continuous to go I give it this year for its last year. Which I hope is wrong because as a dbd player I enjoy the change of pace playing tcm.
They will not put the Battle Pass because they previously said that we will not put Legendary stuff. All the stuff will be received by all players like DLC. 💔
Agreed with everything except the Battlepass thing; I'm doubtful Gun will do these things because several of these issues are problems they created. Not having a halloween event or a Christmas event because "it's not true to tone," for example, is not understanding that this is a game where people doorslam and teabag each other. It's a mentality that's disconnected from reality.
What I think they do need to fix is when you hit a victim going through the wall or crawl space and it doesn't count as a hit
Personally the game has been dead for me besides your streams and videos, Makes evil dead look good in comparison which is kinda crazy.
It really does though...weird that it is the case with how much more "freedom" they said they had making this game but realistically Evil Dead was offering a lot more in it's game
@@ItzPixel 100% and you could FEEL it…I remember how hype the 2013 DLC was and besides not getting Abom it was fucking solid, This compared to the FIRST drop for TCM is laughable, I Was actually hoping the second year of content would turn things around til they abandoned it but have never felt quite the same about this game.
Yeah I mean this time last year evil dead was in complete silence and we only got a little tease about Ruby. But we were all fkn hyped and excited and still enjoyed playing the game (even with the shit prestige system) there was reasons to play and have fun with it...wtf has this game had? Nothing.

well as for the gun, they have only 12 working on tcm whlist dbd has 1300 game developers working on the game.
Sumo Nottingham develops this game and is probably a total team of 50
Which is more than DBD had for it's first 2/3 years
@@ItzPixel sumo is gun media's publisher. the second company has only 12 people working on the game. they need time to expand. dbd developers lived at the expense of many canadian tax payers back in 2016-2017.
It's the other way around, gun is just the publisher for the game.
Even as a big TCM fan. The game just isn't it for me. Everything is just not much. There should've been more focus on making the game play more crazy fun and making the game vibe feel scary

For me first fix getting in games faster prioritize actually playing and need to work on perks why would I respect my”meta build to level up other perks n waste time just give us all perks that are in that character tree I would play just to level up perks n I would make it that all xp you get in a game goes to perks instead of half I would play leveling up perks I’m a lvl 99 I only played 10 hours after I got there

The reason why people leave even when new content is add is because 90% of the new content is locked behind a paywall, and a steep one at that. People have no reason to comeback to a $40 game just to spend more money on it when they don't even know if it will survive the next few months. There is a reason why first DBD dlcs were free, it brought players back with new content and kept them in because it shown that there will be more. I will never stop saying this but locking the first ever new characters behind a paywall was a horrendous idea and the main reason no one is coming back to TCM
I hate the family house. It’s way too easy for family. Half the time you can’t even make out of the basement. All the exits up top seem to close to each other in the house.
There's literally NOTHING really to do to this game. Unlike other popular multi-player games, there's nothing much to it besides hunt and kill, hide and seek. And THERE IS NOTHING ELSE THAT IT SHOULD BE. it's a perfect tcm game.
But, with that said being what it is, it's NOT BUILT for longevity and I'm sure the devs knew that.
I think you could prolong it's life with a single player story mode, family challenges vs. Npc's.

how to fix the game period!, add 2 more victims to the matches game mode making it 3v6!. all victims can only escape from like the main obj! have one of the gates exits be a main escape that all victims can escape from! HOWEVER all other exits only 2 victims are allowed to escape from those objectives!. have it so once 2 victims escape from one exit that isnt the main gate/ escape area, a family member that isnt picked in the match stands guard there stopping others from further escaping that route.
last is BARRICADES and wells! this game has to many barricades, reduce the barricades down a notch, they're free escapes, reduce the barricades by 3 or 4. cause we have a above and below section!
WELLS have got to be RNG it is horrible! you don't even have to look for wells you just know your escape route so you don't have to even search for your free escape route! that should be the first thing a victims should have to do before doing OBJ LMAO! and you wonder why games end so fast! wells need 3 different random spots.
GIVE victims more weapons to fight the family back with, these weapons need to be created with some parts on the map! and have a 1 time use or durability on them.
I hope I don’t sound too disrespectful to anybody, but I feel like a battle pass is a cheap and lazy way of keeping retention and it’s a easy and lazy way of making money on a game also, at the rate of the release the new Contant, I don’t think they’re capable of consistently coming out with a new battle pass also, what’s the point of a battle pass when you said yourself that you don’t really care for a good chunk of the cosmetics

The funny thing is that we haven't even seen any proof of them actually reinvesting the support from the players, hiring more talent for the game to help make updates etc
100% no to the battlepass. I feel like your reasoning is backwards. If the base game is bad or broken or lacking content no battlepass is going to make uninvested players stick around. Unless they fill it with really good stuff all a battlepass will do is appease the players who were going to keep playing the game anyways and not make more people stay. This is a game already struggling with content and you want them to fill up a battlepass? What is going to be in it? You said it yourself they've only released one skin pack for each character with a bunch of recolors. Are they going to add filler player cards or charms or the other stuff that fills the battle passes players don't care about like other games? Plus, that'll feel like a slap in the face like you guys can fill up a battlepass but you can't add more base game content or fix what is already there? I think a lot of people view battlepasses as a bonus on top of base content. You mentioned Payday 3, but that game does not have a lot of content so I doubt it's players would want the devs wasting time on a battlepass instead of fixing or adding more meaningful content to the game like more heists. A lot of the biggest games with battlepasses got them after they were already content rich and in a good spot. Adding one in now will feel like squeezing the last pennies from this game. Rant over.

You think bubba should lnt be able to one shot people? When u throw this opinion out in front of people you need to suggest the actual number reductions that you feel the perks or savagery need to have. I believe its easy enough to dodge bubbas overhead, if you dodge and he doesn't swing your still successful in making distance and possibly escaping, if the bubba takes the risk of losing you by not swinging overhead because he is trying to turn and correct before you escape then he deserves the One-shot in most situations if you havent already gapped away. Bubba mains may say its easy enough to kand an overhead and Victim ls will agrre but if everyone olayed Leather face would they be able to say from there own experience that its easy to land an overhead against a dodgy victim? I highly doubt it.
I've spent a lot of time playing him, it is far too easy to get these kills, there is games where I could miss all of them but it's not even viable to be not doing overhead swings, the character needs to be more fleshed out, he's very one dimensional...I get it he's supposed to be scary etc but just giving him the chance to instakill people all the time isn't a balanced way of making him "scary" to go against

It's kind of a weird defence for saying that having the ability to one shot someone is just so people fear him.
I don't know I just see things a lot differently, like how the character would be 1000x better reworked than the state he's in...one thing can't always justify another.
Also if I'm being honest here. I haven't seen a Bubba get "bullied" since they added stun immunity and stopped Leland being able to use his charge at the start of the game.

Let’s be honest the victim need a nerf (Connie and Danny need an enormous nerf). They got to give the killer time to react to them being on the door definitely should take 10 secs for them to break not 0.5 millisecond.
Everybody knows what going on the game is slowly dying their lack luster content. They need battle pass desperately the game is running on people making idea for these guys that they aren’t using. Game currency is definitely something they need.
The killers need a spending system where they can spin to get the perks they need instead of a skill tree route. Also leave the skill tree route for the victims.
In every horror game killers need to hold more power over the victims to make the game balance.
