Actually, come to think of it, why doesn't Nightshade have wings in the show? It can't just be 'It's more expensive and time-consuming to animate', right?
I assume it's moreso a design thing of "practically they would get in the way". Making animating walking through doors and stuff ..... At least that's my assumption

My first ever (and only, currently) earthspark figure, got it for the birthday recently, it’s a good figure, I like the bird and I’ll always appreciate another scientist
Probably better than the deluxe megatron tbh
I really like their design. Earthspark as a whole has that early 20th century retrofuturism robot design mixed with a bit of Nior. Arcee looks so much like the Maschinenmensch from Metropolis. Nightshade gets that in both modes. The owl mode really fits a style from the 1920s-1940s.

I have no idea about the character or the show, but I love this because the robot mode is mothman and the vehicle mode is an owl
the show revolves around a new transformers species emerging on earth, and since they're brand new individuals the "terrans" as they're called are similar to the malto children in many ways. season one is about the children and terrans growing together as a family while hiding the existence of the terrans from G.H.O.S.T. (a secretive goverment agency working with the autobots and megatron). the writings pretty good and the stories solid plus the main villain is a human again, so i recommend it.

Only problem I have with this toy is the same one I've had with every friggin' owl transformer made so far: the owl head doesn't swivel up! It makes flying poses really awkward unless you're going for a swooping down kinda pose.
I Do like me some April 1st crossover reviews. As for this figure. I'm not a huge fan of the robot mode aesthetics, BUT I do like me some owl alt-modes. I'd like to see more of them for sure since owls are nothing but flying kitty cats anyway, lol.

Ngl, at first Jawbreaker and Thrash have always been my favorite Terrans at first ever since I watched Earthspark last year cuz' imo I think would've been cool if a Season 2 episode would focus on them and yet maybe reference "Super Mario Bros." too...
But y'know, for Nightshade? I think they're alright in my book, I love their Owl form since it reminds me of Owl from Winnie the Pooh but if Owl was a Maximal :)

I gotta say i love tis toy, literally my only problem is that they have won the competition for most stoic face on a transformer, and that the legs go farther backwards than forwards, both of which are suprisingly common issues(though the former not being quite as problematic on anyone else)
I've seen a video review of Nightshade where the reviewer stated that their owl feet are held on via friction joints, so there is that option.
This toy is pretty mid but it’s still pretty good for its price some parts are cool and some parts are bad

Considering that Nightshade is already as good as they are for a cartoon Deluxe toyline, that's already a feat, but yeah, they and some others NEED to have Legacy representations for better engineering and size. Top of my head, Elita and Nightshade as Voyagers, Megatron as a Leader, or at least a Voyager too (since he's Prime's height). Who else...

Never watched the show before, but I think I prefer the look of the robot mode over the more squat-looking owl, but that’s just how some bird transformers tend to translate as toys.
