Just installed the middle dvr into customers home. Very impressed running 3k colourVu’s. I have set 4/5 cameras up for intrusion detection and 2 are working perfectly, can’t seem to get the other 2 to detect at the moment. All set the same. Need to have a play around in the menu. Great video!!

I have the ids 7208 HUHI m2/fa installed at home and also for my customers.
This model doesnt have the alarm in and outputs.very inpressive with the 3k cameras with built in pir.

Yes, some M2 models do not have alarm inputs or outputs, unfortunately.
Yes, the 3K and 4K PIR cameras are an excellent addition to the Hikvision TVI range.
I am lobbying hard to get the microphones added to these versions as on the previous 1080P models.

So what is the max camera resolution on the huhi ( middle one) will it support the hikvision 5mp and 8mp cameras ??

    • @CCTVSystemsUK
      @CCTVSystemsUK  5 месяцев назад +1

The HUHI will support the 5MP and the newer 3K coax cameras. Including the "smart hybrid."
It will also support the 8MP 4K version.
      Hope this helps.

I have this one DS-7208HQHI-K1 , does upgrading improve anything? Currently using all 8 channels. Is my one old now? If i wanted to upgrade to 16 channel to get more camera slots would it affect anything else or is it a straight plug into the new one? Oh I also want to be able to add more intrusion detections but this dvr of mine can only take 2. What would you suggest please

      Hi,
Upgrading to an IDS-7208HUHI or IDS-7216HUHI will give you 4 channels for intrusion detection and line crossing on both.
But, if you use your motion detection instead of intrusion/line crossing on these newer IDS machines for your human and vehicle recognition needs. You will be able to use 8 or 16 respectively.
      Hope this helps.

I have a hik Vision IDS-7208huhi-m2/p just installed and its very loud, is the fan replaceable with someing like a Noctua fan?

    • @CCTVSystemsUK
      @CCTVSystemsUK  Месяц назад

@RainLight1991 Hi, it isn't the fan that is noisy! It's the air passing through the case.
If you remove the screws from the case while the DVR is running and lift it clear, you'll find that the fan is silent.
As your DVR is an 8 channel and "P" (POC), the fan is required to keep the components from overheating.
A common solution is to remove the screws and lift the back of the case in the air slightly so as to quiet down the air flow while still pulling enough air through to cool the DVR.
      Hope this helps.

Brilliant video . I'm considering one of these just now.Looking at the IDS-7208-HTHI-M2/S to replace an HD SDI 4 channel Phoenix DVR. Will these take an SDI signal or will I have to swap out the 4 cameras at the same time. Wanted to upgrade all the system to 4K. , varifocal with audio . SPRO make a camera but fps only 7 so was considering Hikvision DS-2CE79U1T-IT3ZF. with standalone microphones . Your thoughts ?

      Hi,
Unfortunately, these DVR's / HVR's will not recognise the SDI content. At best, the images would be black and white.
SDI was and still is a predominantly TV based broadcasting format that proved to be too expensive for CCTV use due to the patents.
The HTMI is a fantastic machine that has only one downside, which is the lack of alarm in and outputs that I explain in my video.
I'd hang fire for a little while on camera choice as the dual colour and IR Hikvision cameras are due very soon, and they "may" even bring a varifocal with this technology, although I wouldn't be too sure on a microphone if they did come through.
      Hope this helps.

Came across a 4 channel version of the HTHI model with POC and AOC but can't find an 8 channel version. It has a model number IDS-7204HTHI-M1/P I wanted the HTHI model over the HUHU because of the frame rate difference.@@CCTVSystemsUK

    Hello
    Thanks for your videos!
Please can you tell me what the difference is between these two hvr with regards to the letters K and M.
    IDS-7204HUHI K1/4S (C)
    IDS-7204HUHI M1/S
I know the 7204 K has no fan inside. Does the 7204 M have a fan inside?
    Thank you

      Hi,
      K1 / M1 and K2 / M2 mean the same thing.
K1 and M1 have 1 HDD Bay while K2 and M2 have 2 HDD bays.
K1 4 channel HVR,'s tend to have no fan because of the oneHDD bay, but the K1 4 channel poc does have a fan.
      Hope this helps,
      Regards,
      Paul

      Hello Paul
      Thanks for speedy reply!
Ok, so we been sold a IDS-7204HUHI-K1/4S(C)
We're concerned as there's no fan it.
We thought it may be an old model.
      Should we fit a fan?
The cameras are Hik 3K Smart Hybrid Colorvu, cable is Cat5e.
      Thank you Paul

One thing I don't quite understand... The one in the middle has alarm output but also input. So it takes the signal from a different source (from a separate motion detector maybe?) and not from the camera input?
I want to use the human detection feature so, when the cameras spot a human, an alarm will set on. Can the other two DVRs give a signal to a siren? they can send me a notification on my mobile phone after all, how hard is to make them set an alarm?

      DS are standard operating systems.
      IDS are intelligent operating systems.
