A charming intermezzo, not the usual ragtime I normally feature but a welcome addition that was requested. Max C. Eugene was a pseudonym of Max Dreyfus, a successful songwriter, arranger and publisher who lived from 1874 to 1964. This intermezzo was popular and also released in a song version. Published by T.B. Harms in New York City in 1901. (Thanks to JohnJ1995 for the Dreyfus info).
