And he’s been doing it for years and years! I really wanna second this message because yeah the community involvement and SHEER EFFORT he and his wife have put in is nothing short of incredible! I remember the days when WH2 multiplayer was an unoptimized janky mess of pain, with essentially no hope of recovery… I think Turin played a major role in getting us where we are today. Thank the gods!
I do hope CA realizes how much the community does to try to keep the game alive in their own way. I think some do, but the corporate disconnect is the issue as everyone knows now. We’ll see.
Super happy for all the community people that busted their butts to host tournaments, create maps, suggest balance changes, and do all the other work to help bring these changes into TWW3. Excited to play tomorrow.

Very excited to test out FFA and domination against AI. I don't really venture out into the pits of PvP because it spikes my anxiety pretty harshly. Looking forward to some conquest battles, Turin!
Same for me. Domination vs AI makes this one of the best patches of all time to me personally.
The more you pvp the less anxiety you will have. Opponents can't even chat to you, it's literally like facing AI lol
I understand totally lol but if it helps you can always play in the beginner tourneys or just do 2v2 or something on the unranked

Lord un-summoning was such a loser move. Legit on the level of corner-camping in my mind, and I'm so glad to see that gone. Big thanks to Turin and others for advocating for that, alongside many of the other updates included in this patch 💪
I appreciate the longer form patch review. I love your stuff Turin but you skimming everything between games drove me crazy. And then I had to navigate the total war website/blog to read myself and that's a nightmare

Because most people play sp and they don’t want to see units nerfed coz of mp. At all.

@@christopherhayes1369 The campaign is more about fun and flavor than balance. That being said, CA could always just make MP units have separate stats under the hood or something of that sort
@therexyogaming yeah I get that (think it's too complex for them to split sp/mp stats) but thing to remember is that when one unit is nerfed other units are buffed in comparison, if that makes sense?

Its essential to create the FUN thats INTENDED.
Cheesing all day is not fun ... its like playing minecraft with item duper and cry when its fixed because you only play SP
CA has an intention of what the game is about .. and stupid cheeses, unkillable lords and gunner units with artillery range is just not part of their intented design, period.

The MP community is valid arguments regarding balance and their testing has meaning.
Fixed cheeses making the game "unfun" is subjektive to you and is not a valid argument in regard to game design.
The only thing you are proving and honestly most of the SP crybabys are proving is the fact that you are apparently really bad at plaiying the game as intented .
Guess CA should improve their tutorials

Think the changes to Chaos Knights are to redistribute the stats a little bit and make the Lance variant a bit more viable. Across the bird normal CKs lost 2 MA/MD but the Lance variant gained 3 MD - thats my best guess, because lets be honest no one ever brings CK Lances.
It annoys me because of this patch had been available so much earlier or from the start I think TWW multiplayer could be so much bigger/thriving.
Well I'll be, finally Conquest mode. After all these years of asking!
Man, that ogre update was just sad. Not because they are weak or anything, but because there's still no buffs/works on their LL, and I guees it will remain that way until the DLC. Sad maw noises...

if only High Elves/Dark Elves would get an HP buff , alongside with cost reductions to their flimsy infantry i would probably start playing again.

also i really feel like elite units and big monsters Should bring their cost back generally;
limiting amount off elites or needing a minimum number off core troops or specific core troops to bring elites; is the better way to go, don't like how weak a lot off the super elite units are, like skull-crushers; awesome models etc. especially double axe, but they are just terribly bad ingame and doesnt at all own up to their lore reputation
chorfs got a 3700 gold unit o.O
not lore to make it sooooo strong compared to other factions. but not a fan off chorfs; they are emo dwarfs with overtune :P
love how dwarfs is taking to the sky and chorfs on the ground, so they can look up from their demon ways and see a true dawi xD
I know it’s a lot of work, but I would love to see some 2v2 tournaments! Even if you have to do pre recorded matches 🙏🙏
warrior priest on foot should give huge buffs to units around him :P
still remember the scenimatics off the bloodthirster landing at the warrior priest feat in that intro to a warhammer game. damn that was good ;D

Great work Turin and MP community. A real ladder system and dare I say it… dedicated servers and this thing could really be a force of nature. So much untapped potential, glad we are starting to realize some of it

What's the point in fimir great weapons v base fimirs ? They deal the same damage and cost less for the base ones.. GW ones got AL bonus or ?
Also gonna be fun to see if that Wild Rider(shields) type will make it's way into game.. Speed 9 would be hilarious..
Finally, some love for the multiplayer community who, like me, have been dissecting TWs for years. WE are the true enthusiasts of the game !
I think Conquest cap point should open later, or generate victory points slower. It shouldn't decide victory, but simply guarantee a loss, for those too cowardly or weak to contest the field.
With how many less max targets hit Sphinx and Laviathan got, they are going to shread units

Seems kinda weird that even with this huge balance patch, they still didn't do anything to make the Ogre Legendary Lords better? Haven't those been really weak for ages?
Ogres are one of the factions in the next dlc, I'm sure they'll get a balance pass and rework as part of that, including existing lords being revamped to get more in line with the new lord/units getting added!

As a new player (Ive found 2 people on Turin's discord and had one session with each of them so maybe 14 games played multiplayer) and the only other obstacle for me to get into multiplayer is building armies.

Thanks for all the hard work to make the game more balanced for MP. It honestly feels like a good starting point to make base vanilla campaign feel more on point as well without touching the feeling of becoming godly with the turn growth. Example, realizing that Pit Shade was a nuke basically fixed the issue of having high tier units just deleted and then spending 2 turns to get them back.
I'm torn on this update. On one hand, some great stuff for MP and I'm happy for you guys. As an SP player, this update was almost entirely a downgrade, they nerfed a whole bunch of shit in campaign that absolutely didn't need it, straight fun police stuff.
I'm happy to see the direction CA is taking. It will take a long time for me personally to regain any faith or trust, but i could be pursuaded to buy the DLCs i skipped out on if they keep it up.
Still hard to believe it's taken CA this long to really start listening to the streamers who are the ONLY reason Warhammer 3 didn't fade into complete obscurity after its disastrous launch.
But come on, LETS be realistic *@Turin* , you would agree and understand my point(also because you said it multiple times in live):
Imagine destroying to the ground (he literally will be trash af after nerfs, those nerfs are the biggest dmg nerf i've ever seen) a DLC LH just because in a mp mode THAT WILL BE REMOVED from the game because too many units were easy to abuse due to box camp, some players decided to "ban" his ability.
It's just sad. the official/real competitive mode is dominion, were both Saytang/cathay struggle and barely has 50% af. We rarely see him picked because too hard to get his 2600gold value back.
You can't destroy and delete a unit from the game just because it was super strong in mode that will not even be a mode anymore. It's pointless and sad.
Come on... i can understand some nerfs because of land battle (even if it will be removed but ok i guess..), but destroying a unit is way too much.

Saytang is neither "deleted from the game" nor is he anywhere near as bad as you're making him out to be.
@@DerLoladin Did u even see his nerfs or ur blind? they completely destroyed his unique ability and super nerfed his base dmg and ap damage by ton.
He was already struggling to get his 2600gold value back, now he will simply be forgotten, the nerfs are way too big.
@@RYUcaEUif you're struggling to get his value back that sounds like a skill issue or poor target priority. Satang is unreal at killing SEs & elite cav and is a solid terror piece late game to blow infantry off points. Maybe he isn't so great in land battle but is a beast in domination
@@callumcochrane7759 if u think a 50%wr faction is somehow op and needs nerf, it's pointless to have an argument anyway. They ruined his windbow ability in both animation and dmg, and destroyed his aa dmg. he will be a complete trash unworthy 2600gold unit

Haha, I struggled too at the beginning, couldn't unfocus it 😅 But he only suffered at the start, it stops pretty early on once he un-ogred himself 😂

Something about that Stormvermin change scares me. Now they have actual elite infantry stats at 100+ models
And Chaos Knights of Slaanesh have 160 charge bonus now? What is that like 200 Melee attack and 220 Weapon strength on charge now?
