There’s just something about Jimin from BTS that makes Caucasian people want to physically change themselves into him - a very normal sentence to say in 2023. Today we’re looking at the “story” of Saint Von Colluci. A Canadian actor who did the exact same thing as Oli London by turning into another race using cosmetic procedures. He tried to break into the Korean entertainment industry but realized his “looks” weren’t “asian” enough to make it big. Saint was also “casted” as Jimin in a tv show called Pretty Little Lies after paying $200,000 to replicate the K-pop idol’s face. Popular news outlets like TMZ, Variety, and The Independent even picked up this “tragic story” I heard about on social media. Why are there so air quotes in this description? Oli London being genuinely accepted by online Conservative influencers is so wild for me. All Oli London has done has made me not be able to take him seriously.
I dont think hes being genuinely accepted, I doubt they have any respect for him, hes just being used because he is willing to repeat hateful rhetoric they believe.

I'm so amused by people trying to look Asian by raising the outer corners of their eyes. If you, for example, look at Jimin you might notice his eyes slant the exact opposite way. Oli London just went for what he thought looked Asian rather than how Jimin actually looks.
Doesn’t even! There is a guy who actually did surgeries to look asian and it was successful. I think Oli just wanted changes and hiding it as “to look asian”. I always said Oli is just looking for excuses to have surgeries for free.

I think you are comparing apples and oranges. Not a good idea to compare your "minor" daughter probably (and hopefully)real experience with a grown man that faking his whole experiences for infamous reputation. Also it's always going to be a thing where minors have more restrictions then independent consenting adults, since minors can't even make up their mind if they like someone or not most them time.
@@bunnyrabi even so, there are trans people right now who cannot get gender affirming surgeries and hormones because they live in situations where either their doctors are booked until next year or they just refuse to acknowledge them. Oli is not worth anything because they are privileged and have that ability to just transition and detransition without having to wait 3 years for a doctor to get back to them. All they do is appropriate and try to get attention on them
@@Em_Cee669 yes, and for example in a lot of countries it's really hard to get approved for transition. I had to have psychological test, scan of a brain and many other things.
Yeah, I was really struggling to consider myself trans because I didn't want to, especially with non accepting society. It took me a several years to decide on transition and I'm very happy I did it. I was already scared bc of the Church saying it's a sin etc, even thou detrans is a very small % of trans ppl you always hear it when someone doesn't want to accept you. And there are detrans ppl that are saying trans is valid but it wasn't right just for them. Oli is doing so much harm, he already was doing harm trying to be trans racial. I hope politician in my country won't hear about him because conservative leaders already ridicule trans people like it's some fanaberie of leftists.

Random thought, I personally, as trans person too, don’t care that Oli detransitioned. And I deeply hate Oli but at the same time do understand I think yes a lot of it is impacted by the shock factor he’ll gain from people but also the very real and very clear mental problems Oli has. This doesn’t excuse the cultural appropriation and blatant racism but at the same time I think the deeply complex mental health problems Oli has shown for years relates to the fact that in a way he might genuinely been in identity crisis after everything he’s done. I don’t want to defend Oli, but I don’t know him personally or care to enough, to say that there isn’t reasons on a deeper level he transitioned and detransitioned. So much of the lgbt space is about not needing to have one label you put on yourself for the rest of your life [if you find one and like it great] and to some extent I think detransitioner deserve that too. Now everything post detransitioning fuck that and truly fuck Oli I really hate seeing any news ever about them let alone so more conservative, likely racist bullshit.
Edit; I also do hate the standard path that most detransitioners take as it being immortal and something pushed on them as if Oli isn’t a grown ass adult. Even more as the rocky and dangerous position trans people in the USA are currently in esp trans women but I don’t think think that should perpetuate a hatred as a whole to detransitioning.

My impression is: if somebody wastes that much money on trying to look like some idol, that just *screams* "I'm unhappy and unsatisfied with my personality (if I have one), and I want a quick fix". The idea that turning yourself into a copy of somebody else would improve your life?
