    sir in the method of selectable marker....if we placed the transformant in antibiotics, it would not grow in the medium and it will die...So how we will use the plasmid further?🤔

      We grow thousands of bacteria which contain foreign DNA in 2 separate medi a, one with ampicillin another medium with tetracycline, in which one medium will allow bacteria to grow another medium won't. So we conclude we have transformants, if bacteria grow on both media that means there is no transformants😊

      @@BiologySimplifiedTamil sir but for eg: if we ligate the foreign dna with tetracycline resistant gene ,it will lose tetracycline Resistance and it will die in tetracycline petridish so we can conclude that it is transformant! But after concluding with this experiment we are not able to use this...since it is died so how they are we using further???

      That's what we prepare 2 simultaneous plate one with tetracycline another with ampicillin, we keep bacteria in both the plate, if they are transformants they won't grow in one plate (tetracycline) and will grow in another plate (ampicillin), and we don't change the living into another plate (from ampicillin to tetracycline) we continue the experiment with living bacteria (transformants).

    Sir suppose if the foreign dna binds to EcoRl site which is outside from the 2 selectable marker then it is transforment right? how do we will find?
