Just bought one of these with literally 3 hours on it from a co-worker. It's funny, this is the "newest" bike I've ever had, and the only 450 I've ever ridden...this thing is hands down the nicest bike I've ever ridden I can't even imagine how today's bikes feel 😂
I picked up a CRF450R a week before Christmas from a local builder who was losing his own house and needed ($1500) fast. It does make decent torque and has tons of suspension, and goes where you point it. The suspension adjustability is amazing, the only thing I've done is shorten the wheel base in order to get it to turn better. Night and day between the Honda and my YZ490, although the Honda requires a lot of maintenance, and will ride senior C in NETRA in March.
i got the 09 and it was pretty hard to start but it got better the more i used it but it does stall easy still and i thought the handling and stability were great
@4realskater13 like the other said. basically ur big enough for any full size bike. the 125 2 strokes to the 450 four strokes are basically the same size give or take an inch since size is not set and companys make whatever seat height they want
@BeProBeHonda i had Honda's all my life from a Honda low-mower to CBR600RR, CBR1000RR to CRF 450R, but now YAMAHA came out a few yrs ago with WR250X / R and WR450X / R ..and im about to buy one pretty soon, but i never had a Yamaha, how are they ?
@15middy15im 15 also, im about 5'9 and i weigh about 140 pounds. mine is a 450x so im in the woods alot, and it does good for me. i dont know the conversion really, but you have to atleast be about 5 foot 8 or so. but hop on it! play with it for a bit, see if you can get used to it. their fun bikes but they sure can over power a 15 yr old really quickly.
@gravatt100 there's really not much difference in seat height between a 125 and 250. The question to ask yourself isn't is the bike too big...... but instead can you handle the power and weight of it?
you should get one to have the choice if you wanna race the 150 or the 250 i have 3 bikes a yz 250 kxf 250f and kxf450 and i pertty much race all of them and im 6'2 and weigh 260
well see me ive always had 2 or 3 bikes and i sell 1 to buy 1 so i see were your dad is coming from but in your case i would get the 250 an race the D class to start with
should i get a ktm 200xc or a crf250r..... i have a crf 100f and i really need a bigger bike. im 5'11 and 135 pounds.... anybody who knows what bike is better for me message me back plz!
Give me a 2stoke any day!!. Rode my old 2stoke cr250 on track and it left a lot of the 4 strokes standing!!..sounds a lot better 2 ^_^... still a nice bike though. Suppose its personal preference TBH....
Im about to trade my banshee for a 2003 crf 450r but i would like some opinions first it also has a rebuilt motor with like 30 hours on it.. bad or good can someone helpp?
@rageontheplayground lol crf 250 valve train problems yea best and reliable 2 year old bike needs valves cam and the seats cut right and yamaha made the banshee one of the nastiest quads ever
@rageontheplayground you know.. i'm considering buying a honda motocross bike, 125 or 250, but that's because i'm lazy lol.. I know theyre not as powerful as ktm's bikes.. if maintainance followed EVEN a KTM kan be in use for 20 years! you've got it all wrong..
I always had new Honda bikes and after three years i sell them to buy a new one and i always feel like i´m selling the bike like new. I also had used hondas and they too did the job well. I´m talking about VFR800Fi and some CBRFireblades1000RR. I had two Yamahas RZ and TZR and i felt very good the day i sold them. I will never buy a yamaha not again. There is always a better choice in Honda. This moment this one CRF 450 is head turner.
@rageontheplayground well ktm's are good but they weigh to much and cost to much cause they have good parts but hondas are a lil on the pricey side but they're worth it
people need to except that kawasaki is the best out there. Yes i ride kawi but Im also thinking about moving to suzuki or yamaha. But kawasaki has the best motors and best contigency. there are local pros here in oklahoma that were on honda and some on suzuki and they all went to kawasaki....
@rageontheplayground lol, wtf.. ever tried a KTM? i had a honda trx 400 ex quad, now i have the ktm exc sm. My ktm always starts at first shot, the honda did not. the ktm gives a unique quality feeling, but you will need to do a little bit more maintainance, that's all
@moto93420 dude, im 15, and 5,8 and i can ride it. i own a 05' 450x and a 09' 250r. Height wise for the 450, I cant reach both feet down. Only one foot leaned over a little bit. Isnt that big of a deal for me though. I prefer bigger bikes, ive been riding sice i was 3. Honda ever since!

i rode a 450 like this and the torque is insane good work honda
@crzyFa5t Colour isnt an issue. Stuart goes with the bigger pay cheque.
i agree with that ! kawi has an insane motor stock ! but the honda is probly the most reliable 450 out there..
MrMdC94, i could't agree anymore with you. you have the perfect responce
@487MxRider do not quit agree with you when it comes to handling.
Pretty nice. i will have a hard time deciding between this and the 2010 KX450F
i got the 09 and it was pretty hard to start but it got better the more i used it but it does stall easy still and i thought the handling and stability were great
@4realskater13 like the other said. basically ur big enough for any full size bike. the 125 2 strokes to the 450 four strokes are basically the same size give or take an inch since size is not set and companys make whatever seat height they want
@KOedn to the left on the top and bottom of the forks look in your manual it will tell you how to adjust them for your style
@amarck3 I think the main difference is that the throttle is way more responsive i dont know about fuel efficiancy
yeah im really liking the kx450f
@BeProBeHonda i had Honda's all my life from a Honda low-mower to CBR600RR, CBR1000RR to CRF 450R, but now YAMAHA came out a few yrs ago with WR250X / R and WR450X / R ..and im about to buy one pretty soon, but i never had a Yamaha, how are they ?

Perfect bike
It doesn't matter what brand you ride. It's how you ride it that counts.
you should get one to have the choice if you wanna race the 150 or the 250 i have 3 bikes a yz 250 kxf 250f and kxf450 and i pertty much race all of them and im 6'2 and weigh 260
Yeah Honda rules!
1:55 Them review skills tho!
Well "really good" is all you need when describing a Honda :)
Best decider on what brand = whats your favorite color, if they have a color you like then ride it!
honda is simply the best for power and handling
@BeProBeHonda you're forgetting about ducati, aprilia, and mv agusta...
For 450's the 2010 YZ450F will be the way to go.... my second choice would be the KX450F.
i love this video so i had to subscribe
well see me ive always had 2 or 3 bikes and i sell 1 to buy 1 so i see were your dad is coming from but in your case i would get the 250 an race the D class to start with
SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i usedto have a kawasaki until it had problems soo my friend got me interested in hondas soo im going team red now
@jennylover456 4 stroke, CRF is 4 stroke. CR is 2 stroke.
why is it that only the year after a bike comes out, after everyone bought one, does all the problems and truth about the bike come out??
how the hell do these things keep getting better and better every year? you would think they would run out of things to improve
@487MxRider true very tre thats why its my fav brand
I'm 11 years old and right now I have a ttr 110 is this a good bike for me?I'm 4'8" and weigh 105 lbs.
Im thinking about getting either a rm 250 or a crf 450...im 13 and 5'6 is it to big....i ride my friends yz 250 and my dads drz 400

all fuel injections are like that , my 09 rmz450 does the same.
is that one a 4 or 2 stroke?
should i get a ktm 200xc or a crf250r..... i have a crf 100f and i really need a bigger bike. im 5'11 and 135 pounds.... anybody who knows what bike is better for me message me back plz!

@crzyFa5t - He likes what ever colour is prepared to pay him the most.
Give me a 2stoke any day!!. Rode my old 2stoke cr250 on track and it left a lot of the 4 strokes standing!!..sounds a lot better 2 ^_^... still a nice bike though. Suppose its personal preference TBH....
@BeProBeHonda tell me one reason why its the best brand just because its the most popular and has sold the most bikes

Im about to trade my banshee for a 2003 crf 450r but i would like some opinions first it also has a rebuilt motor with like 30 hours on it.. bad or good can someone helpp?
What is the the diff. between 2 stroke and 4 stroke
Why are the hondas unicam. why not DOHC like every other normal bike? (Zukes 4evr)
@15middy15 yup.
the 2010 and 2011 arent doing go i have seen on in the top 10 supercross or motocross race charts mosty kawa and yamas

@MrRshelp4u yeah but you gotta mix your gas ha ha
@XxNoTalentxX1995 how so?
The fastest bike is the bike that the fastest rider's riding. Doesn't matter what brand it is.
@BeProBeHonda KTM sells most in Euro and Yamaha sells the most in the US, Honda is second while Kawasaki is last

@rageontheplayground lol crf 250 valve train problems yea best and reliable 2 year old bike needs valves cam and the seats cut right and yamaha made the banshee one of the nastiest quads ever

@rageontheplayground well ktm's are good but they weigh to much and cost to much cause they have good parts but hondas are a lil on the pricey side but they're worth it
@rageontheplayground yeah honda and their shittastic valves.
people need to except that kawasaki is the best out there. Yes i ride kawi but Im also thinking about moving to suzuki or yamaha. But kawasaki has the best motors and best contigency. there are local pros here in oklahoma that were on honda and some on suzuki and they all went to kawasaki....
