    Very nice work. It is a good idea to ruff up your leather a bit before you glue it. Use some 100 grit sandpaper. That will help the glue to be stronger when it dries. Your work looks just fine.

    Just to say the and is places on the used to draw the sheath back to speed up the draw and reduce the draw length

    What's the functional significance of a frog on a sheath?

      It allows the sheath to be mounted on the belt. There are ways to attach it to a belt without a leather frog, but it wouldn't be comfortable.
