Yung Joc discussed Dr. Dre's assertion that Eminem is the best MC of all time. He defended Dr. Dre's right to his opinion, pointing out that Dre had worked with numerous talented artists but may see something unique in Eminem's ability to make an unexpected topic part of the conversation or his ability to mock himself in a hit song. Dre needs to stop. But, again, that's his personal opinion. Eminem is alright( but great or yes/ No/ Maybe or simply hit at the right moment. The rap industry was moving away from rap beefs and gangsta rap and embracing more artists who sounded/ looked different. There is a lot of great MC, and depending on your personal style, you choose accordingly. I'm biased as 2pac and Nas hands down are my favorite rappers of all time. Dr. Dre is a great producer, but the idea that he gets credit for California Love a song he didn't write as 2pac wrote his verse and J. Flex wrote Dr. Dre verse. Zapp and Roger wrote/ produced/ sang and arranged California Love as that is their original song( that is, their original intellectual property ). All Eyez on Me is not a Dr. Dre production he produced 2 songs and again the song ( U can't C Me was written by 2pac/ George Clinton and Bernie Worrell as they are the originators of that song. All Eyez on Me was 1/3 produced by 2pac go to producer Johnny J. Eminem is an ok rapper, but also, he had the ability to crossover largely because of his race. Eminem was a constant fixture on MTV and heavy rotation on caucasian radio. Despite what picture one paints( nobody and specifically KMEL in the Bay Area were I from was calling the radio station asking to play Eminem). People regard Dr. Dre as a super producer, but taking someone else work putting your own personal touches on it doesn't make one a great producer. It makes one a thief. But, it's an opinion, and NO, I don't think Eminem is the greatest MC of all time. My own personal choice is 2PAC and NAS. As far a producer the list of great producers are endless but DJ Quik/ Johnny J/ Mike Mosley/ Ric Rock of the 707 / Easy MO Bee/ and others.

I'm voicing my opinion as I have the constitutional right to do. I don't like Eminem and think Dr. Dre is operated. But, again, they don't need my validation for their body of work. Yiu probably would benefit from having some level of self awareness in order to navigate through life. Abraham Maslow, who I've studied tremendously, is a great start. When one practices self actualization one achieves the ability to learn self worth isn't based on an opinion or Validation.

Em is a great lyricist, nobody can demyy that. But lyrics is only half of it, thats why everyone moved from the NY style and started listening to the south and the west coast. Even NY rappers today sound like west coast or southern artists. Lyrics are cool but you gotta have good beats and a relatable vibe, and Em aint got that.
