Partner realy makes for fun and flexible deckbuilding and the addition of Backgrounds just upped the possibilities big time. I wanted to go back to my beloved mono green for some time and when I pulled some Kodama of the East Trees back in 2020 I instantly started brewing a deck. Paired it with Gilanra, Caller of Wirewood for some additional, always available ramp and occasional draw. Super fun, janky but also strong deck.
@@nicplz Yeah, that is definitely true. The fact, that he let`s you put everything from lands to the biggest bombs directly into play is insane. When you have enough sources to keep your hand filled, you can escalate pretty quickly and hard, even with kinda janky decks like mine tend to be (I like building from my collection first, rather than always having optimized decks)
This is a good way to explain how Partner works and it's history. I personally play Dimir Artifact deck with Silas Renn and Armix to make good use of artifacts both on the board and in the graveyard. Especially when you discard a card for Armix to either nerf or outright kill a creature, making it easier for Silas to get a hit in, and enabling me to play a Artifact in the graveyard.
Pro-tip -some partner combinations comply with COMPANION-I have a Nikara&Yannik deck with Umori as the companion, and a Wernog&Bjona deck with Lurrus as a companion. Keep in mind that the decks need lots of mana, so include a few more lands than usual in the 98 to pay for the companion ability + casting all those creatures ✨
This video is perfectly timed as I just Build My Tevesh Szat and Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix partner deck, I was thinking I add the Red/White companion and make some weird Wuburg triple commander partner deck
It would be cool to see a video on companions featured and unusual builds you can make with them. Gyruda fits with Muldrotha or The Master, or Mothman of course, but what about some even mana value commander that can have a Background enchantment that fits the theme too? I thought of Ellyn+Street Urchin+Zirda for Boros artifacts&activated abilities shenanigans!

That's rad. Kodama seems like it could be powerful with almost any partner!

I am thinking on build Rogsi for CEDH, It seems to be the most Fun to start with.
Also, doctors are Fun for casual☺️
Which doctor's are your fav atm?
@@nicplz tenth doctor + rose 😊🫢 rose can get out of control really fast
Pir and Toothy by far one of my favorites
Really?! Whats your approach to the deck?
@nicplz I just make toothy super big and one shot two players in the same turn. And then the last player has to try to survive.
