Adding to INFJ thoughts.. “plastic waste, plastic waste, plastic waste... ugh, that’s gonna end up in the ocean killing an innocent animal”
Personally, I think there are more problems than just plastic waste.
Every single product we buy, use, gift or otherwise acquire, needs to be created first and later, whether in the near of far future, disposed of. The plastic is part of the destruction process, but the creation process is often a lot mroe damaging and polluting.
When we buy, for example, a slice of beef for lunch, we have to understand that that cow (if male and not veal) has lived around 4-5 years. Cows eat a lot more food than us (the world’s cattle alone consume a quantity of food equal to the caloric needs of 8.7 billion people), this means we need a lot of land to plant this food for them to eat during those 4-5 years. Beef is the leading cause of deforestation and the second place, soy production, is 90% food for livestock. Needless to say, planting plants for food requires a lot of energy (energy which is rarely renewable), pesticides, fertiliser (which have also both been through harmful production processes themselves and often contaminate the soils and biodiversity) and water. Livestock nowadays also eat fish, despite the fact that fishing is the number one threat to oceans, causing the deaths not only of the fish we actually eat, but of staggering numbers of bycatch and fishing is causing a shortage of food for other marine animals. 46% of the Great Pacific garbage patch are fishing materials which kill billions of dolphins, sea turtles, sharks, dugongs, crocodiles, birds, crabs, etc. Then these foods for the cows need to be processed to become eatable and transported to the animals. Cows release a lot of methane, a gas 23 times worse than CO2, which makes agriculture responsible for 18% of the total greenhouse gases world-wide, more than all transport. Needless to say, that slice of beef we buy will also be packaged in plastic, which has been through a terrible environmental creation process, and will go through another terrible process once we throw it away. Our waste is a serious problem for the environment because it lets out more of that methane I mentioned, or it may be burned, shipped off to India to dump there or recycled: all of these processes cause pollution. Even if it's not specifically plastic: alluminium is terrible even though it is easily recyclable, paper packaging is another major deforestation issue, glass can be difficult to recycle, etc.
I’ve used the meat industry as an example because it is one of the most polluting sectors and one of the things we consume the most, but the truth is anything we buy is likely bad for the environment. The number one thing we can do to save the planet is STOP BUYING THINGS. Stop eating meat (a plant-based diet is tremendously better for the environment); stop using plastics (zero waste may not be realistic for everyone, but the closer to cutting out all waste, the better); stop buying clothes we don’t need (clothes are often made with deforestation-related plant fibres or plastic, neither of which are good, there are often issues with how workers were treated in the factory and “fast fashion” is a serious problem becoming bigger by the day, buying second hand clothes is the best option), etc.
I personally think that plastic waste is just one part of the problem!
Yes. I think this too 😥 and I guilt myself for things I buy
Not just INFJ. That's my thoughts as ENTP as well.
😒 same thoughts and I have many solutions for better future, but keeping with myself, because majority have major personal problems with themselves and they are unaware
I’m an INFJ and that really isn’t my biggest concern
I can confirm the infp one as accurate lol
ipsum I can confirm it too...
Yep. The ENFP monologue is going on in my head, but generally doesn't result in real-world money being spent.
Yep. Can also confirm.
Yeah i can go to Walmart and only buy 1 thing, but spend a whole hour or two looking at other stuff.
Yup me too. Infp 100%.
ISFP/INFP. Spent 2 hours in Hobby Lobby smelling candles; didn't buy anything.
I have one word to say about this: "me".
YESSSS
INTJ here, doing this too xD
I took the test several times and the result is ISFP/INFP and I confirmed that your statement is true
INTP- Why am I in a store? I can get all of this online...
But then you have to answer the door to someone tho. They will see the inside of your house (kinda)
And what if its not he delivery person who knocks and you end up accidentally answering the door to a ramdom person
13 words that summarises my bf 😭
THIS
But then you have to pay a shipping charge
INFP....my god this is so accurate.
Also a thing:
I don't know if i should get this watermelon scent shampoo or the strawberry.... *sniffs them both back and forth for 45 minutes* ..ok, the strawberry
.. maybe...OH there is also coconut!
*2 hours later*
oh i just can't decide
*leave without buying anything*
Yaas! But I end up finally buying one, but after getting home I realise, “Frick. Should’ve gotten the strawberry one..”
@@YourNeighborhoodCaat lolll yes! Everytime 🤣
@@unusableaccount7439 yeah very relatable 😅😅
Hahaha if any of y'all knows how to let go of this habit pls let me know 🙏🏽 I always keep the receipts of things I buy in case I change my mind and want to give it back 🤦🏽♀️ they hate me in stores
ISFP here and I would end up buying both
HAHAHAHHAHAH the INFP is so accurate, I didn't even realize that was an INFP thing. I literally go to shops just to look at things but never buy.
lol yeah I spend 5 hours at the mall with only 10 bucks
My ESFP friend always has a crap ton of money and I'm just like "wow". He had so much he invited me to eat pizza, he's sweet and cool.
@@coolmuzt ME TOO! she has like this side business and everything.
CMC Pictures I put stuff on my amazon cart and then wait for like 5 days and then remove it from the cart again
@@Moonstruck89 HAHAHHAHAHA ME
I'm INFJ and I'm like
Ugh there are so many people in the world. Omg look how sweet that person is. Humanity can be so kind. Omg look how mean that person was. Humanity has such evil in it.
Yup 😂 me too
Same thoughts
Haha I people watch as well.
Sammeee. Ugh I hate people who bring their screaming babies to the store they are such little brats............ OH MY GOSH LOOK AT HOW CUTE THAT BABY IS SUCH A LITTLE ANGEL MAYBE PEOPLE AREN'T SO BAD!!!!!
Oh god , relatable 🤦🏻♀️
Me: an INTP... Only 2 thoughts:
1) What do I need
2) Which is the shortest route
Yes :))
I hate IKEA for turning their stores into a labyrinth exactly for that!
You get what you want in seconds and it takes you 20 minutes to get to the checkout where you waste another 20!
I will never go there again!
I guess I can be quite INTP at times
Lmaooo..this is me
@@jcrnda I have that too with the exception of artsupply and bookstores I can spend days in there.
Yass
As an INTJ, I would most likely have a list of things I needed in my head, buy them and return home.
That's more INTP on my view.
INTJ would likely try to prove the theories they have in their head with the information they get with their short, but efficient, trip to the market.
INTPs hate daily tasks, so they're usually "Grab this, fuck this. Now I'm gonna return home, research half an hour of quantum physics and do absolutely nothing for the rest of the day".
@@umcaraqualquer3640 you can still go a day as an INTJ being relaxed and not do much.
@@umcaraqualquer3640 Not sure what you mean by theories, unless it's relating the potential purchases to the grander plan of implementation (i.e. what ingredients I can pair with ingredients at home to make a proper meal). But there really isn't anything to "prove" here, it's more about the efficiency. INTJs aren't great with daily tasks either due to repressed Extroverted Sensing and Dominant Int- Intuition. Sensors are the best at tackling tasks without getting overwhelmed.
Preferably optimizing the path through the store to get everything in one sweep
INFP here, my favourite section is the part with all the cool items I could look at that for hours. Not buy, just look.
Sometimes I ninja the place and I sneak into you know what section, the TOYS section.
I am ENFP and I lije walking around and thanokg everything for just existing, because I can't hold a job and am poor. Lol
Me
as an intj, this is accurate
yes it is and also after few moments im like oh what the hell do and buy what you like you peasants.
Very true
I'm INTJ female. Not me. Don't care about other people wasting 💰, just want to be in n out of the store ASAP. Hate lingering around.
@@smartpiggy Yeah, it's their problem if they put themselves in debt to stay relevant. We'll get the last laugh when our bank accounts still have money
My hubby is INTJ. I am ENFP. When he wants to buy something finally, I am like. Yes! Please spend money on yourself. Lol
Infp- it's because we'd rather imagine what owning each item would be like instead of committing to it.
Julie Meibaum Commitment is too scary. No thanks.
TRUEEEEEE XD XD XD
INFP, seriously, I do like to walk around and just look at things! Dead on! LOL!
That judgement by INTJ is too accurate.
I related so much to this ENFP hehehe that's literally me in a store.
Michelle Wilson Bro, we need some more clocks!
Also... we look a lot alike! (ENFP also)
I love enfps to death but you guys can be exhausting when you get distracted all the time, still love you though. Infj
Insfires man!! thats why you infjs are so important to us ❤️
Insfires man!! - Hahahaha! My friend said the same thing! I bought a tennis racket cause I thought I might want to play one day. I’ve never been interested in tennis.
🤣 infp cracking up here, the way you reach out to feel the texture of the glass on that lamp! I walk around and examine and touch everything, and don't buy most of it!
Lmaooo same
And then an INTP guard says "Don't touch that!"
I feel so bad about all the germs I spread..BuT I wanna touch!!
I am so happy to know that I am not the only one. I thought I was weird before knowing about MBTI...
A couple of weeks ago I told my husband I was out shopping. "Oh, so you're just out there, walking around, touching things?"
What? I mean, I guess so...never realized I do that until he said it!
--INFP
Literally thought “consumerism” for INFJ and voila lmfaoo
ENFPs showed up 3 times wanting office chair, gardening stuffs, new clock, and bucket 😂
Meanwhile INFJ 'consumerism, consumerism, consumerism' I guess we truly are complementing opposites :)
As a fellow ENFP , this is true
Also, for some reason, school supplies sections gets me every time. Thinking of buying a ruler for no reason... or a protractor.... or the 70th pen in a row 😂
"Dude we totally need more of this .. Thing." 😂
😂
The accuracy on the LEGO one is more than I can comprehend. Castles were only a a hundred with 15 minifigs now u see a car and 2 minifigs and it’s 170
Im an ENTP and the only lego I bought was the big backs of those basic bricks (or whatever they are called). You can do anything with those. I never bought any cars etc.
As a fellow INFP... that is way too accurate. Don’t like to spend money, but everything is just too cool! Look at EVERYTHING!
we're like toddlers lol!
Remy LeBae EXACTLY like toddlers! More shiny the better
MerpDaDerp830 yea shiny is nice
but fluffy is also nice
so im looking for things that are sh-fluffy
Im intj but i do the same thing ...
I’m guessing the ENTJ doesn’t shop
@@CarolineIronwill that was what I was going to say! Instacart all the way. And Amazon. But they better get it right or there's hell to pay.
He sends his slaves, er, employees, then scolds them if he doesn't like what they got.
@@shahrazade26 I prefer the term "tactically enlighten."
Right i was waiting for that one haha
We don't shop we send people to shop for us
INFP: "no i just like to walk around and look at things"
i mean, how accurate. damn.
"consumerism, consumerism, consumerism" the fact that I have literally said that on multiple occasions while walking around stores and malls...
As an INTP I find this very accurate because I have always found kids toys to be worthless and a waste of materials and money making me worry about consumerism because kids are the easiest demographic to market to and gendered toys that pander to specific male/female demographics are really annoying
ENFP - you had me at the office chair! LOL 😂
Actually, I could use an office chair...and gardening really isn't that hard us it???....lol. so me. ENFP too
Except we would’ve tried the chair out. At least spun around in it.
I was waiting at the edge of my seat to see how you portrayed INTJ. Absolutely perfect - busted out laughing👌🏼
Yup, sounded just like my dad lol
Allanna Cadle I probably sound like your dad too, even though I’m a youth .-. ._.
You people don't know what an intj is. I almost didn't put this on here because I hardly think you are worth my time.
INFJ - Today I literally listened to a 40 min. podcast just based on consumerism while decluttering my bedroom questioning why I bought the stuff I did. What a coincidence 😂
I'm INFJ too and I listen to The Minimalists' podcasts when I clean, really motivating.
@@EtherealAmoeba Yesss I love that podcast, I listen to it all the time and it's been super helpful 🙂
😂😂😂
I relate!
I am an Fi dom and my sister is Fi auxiliary - and we care a lot about that stuff too. But we're disasters and keep buying things cause they are so fluffy or some nonsense. Send help. I think it's a stereotype of Fe being really outwardly focused on helping humanity/other life and Fi users are selfish. A lot of strong Fi users care about larger issues too - maybe we just come at it differently. I wish I had the calming patience of an INFJ. I'm all "OK guys lets save humanity/the environment!". then "You're an asshole, I hate you(I think) I'm going to take my favourite book and read at the cat cafe instead". I need to learn to work in groups better.
@@eb7446
INFJ's can't help themselves, because they feel other peoples feelings as their own. So they are "compelled" to help. Helping others, helps INFJ's themself. You help others, they feel better, and automatically INFJ feels better because now they are " picking up" on that other persons feeling of being better. It is a vicious cycle. Lol.
INFP is way too spot on, why are we like this
I was about to say the same thing!
LMFAO. I'm and ENFJ and my husband is an ENFP and whenever I bring him to the store he is always trying to get random things that we dont need!! This is so accurate! Like PUT THE FOAM BACK
INFP, definitely went to a store to wander several times. Usually buy something small out of moral obligation.
OMG I'm an ISFP and that candle part was SO DARN ACCURATE in fact the last time I went shopping that was actually exactly what I did. I took my INFJ sister to the candle isle and just started sniffing them all simply because they smelt amazing. And as an ISFP I really appreciate products that really compliment someone's senses (e.g. eyes/looks aesthetically pleasing/Pretty, Nose/smells amazing etc.) lol
Oh funny that! I’m an INFJ and I have an ISFP sister
The ESFJ is so flawless 😂❤️ Every time I see an older person loading groceries into their car, I think, "LET ME HELP U!!!!" & ask if they'd like help haha 😄❤️
INFJ one is so me!
Hahaha me too!
Hey personality bud
Literally me!!!
As an ENTP, I can confirm that those are the types of stupid things I get slugged for saying😂😂
Lol enfp is so accurate. I made my brother buy seaweed crisps from the Japanese snack aisle at Target bc “they might be the best things you never tried and how would you know if you don’t get them???” I also chose the teriyaki flavor ones to get solely bc they were the ones they had the least of and that means they must be the popular flavor. 🤷🏻♀️😂
😂😂😂 love ENFPs. They are so much fun. My best friend is ENFP and I'm INFJ.
Ok but how where they? Was it worth it?
INFJ here, and the INTJ/INFJ were so accurate for me lol
INFP is very accurate. I used to walk around downtown Calgary literally just looking at things in stores, indoor gardens, fountains. 😂 Didn’t want to buy anything, just wanted to walk around looking haha
Awkward Jenn I think we just want to do this to get out and have some alone time
INFJ is accurate most of the time. The other bits of the time is “Jesus, take the cart! Everything looks so cute!” 😂😂
I’m an INFJ and that’s literally exactly what I think when shopping 🤣 Oh yeah, that and “That item is way too cheap, it must have been made in a sweatshop. I better scan the bar code using my Buycott app to find a more ethical alternative.”
Lol. My INFJ shadow must be too real!
You crack me up. I’m INFP, and I cannot deny how much you get me. It’s embarrassingly accurate! I had no idea how goofy I am until watching you. Hilarious! Thanks for the big laughs. 😂😂 Keep it up. You’re adorable.
ENFP married to an ISTJ. So we don’t shop together...like, ever. 😂
My hubby is INTJ.... So yeah. If I go alone I gave to keep the receipts do he can return it all. Lol. Also when I. A hurry we just send in the human missile. Lol
‘No I just like to walk around and look at things’ this is the truest thing I have ever heard 😂
1:31 INFJ "consumerism consumerism consumerism" - so me!
Me:
*goes to the mall alone*
*browses shit for 3 hours*
*contemplates a loooot whether those things I took were things I needed*
*goes home with 1 item*
INFP here 😂😂
ENTJ is too busy with the grindset, and has sent the other 15 personalities to shop for him, I suppose.
"We totally need some new clocks" lmao I'm deceased. My best friend is ENFP and you get it every time.
- infj
I was waiting the whole video to hear what the INFP line was going to be (as a infp myself) and then I was just like: Accurate. Accurate. Accurate
Yup, INFJ is definitely me. Capitalism, capitalism!
ENFP HÈRE and I support this. We are so random, we’d buy everything
Everyone always mentioning how INFPs are accurate but no one gotta appreciate the ENTPs' puns
Your INTJ was spot on. ENFP was probably accurate too. I think I am an INTP but I never really think about toys. I was just shopping today and I stood there for a long time trying to decide if I wanted an unboxed big screen TV on clearance, even though I never watch tv anymore. I decided against it, but the drawn out, circular process to get me to the decision was very INTP. Maybe next time you can do something like that.
I can spend ours trying to decide what I really want to buy.
Wow he’s got the ENTP one down, even with the pun😂
INFP is really me
I am mostly going to a store with books and things like these to just check out books that I can't afford and then go out of it.
Also touching things because you can bEtTeR dEtErMiNe ThE VaLuE lol
Yes!
Getting into a bookstore, taking a picture of the book you liked to buy it when u have money then leaving and never buying that book
@@celestenanfaro534 So relatable it hurts 😂😭
I want to cry, because my ENFP friend is exactly like that.
He would get tired of a broken thing, leave to buy some tape to fix the broken thing and then come back 3 hours later with a giant 50" flat-screen TV.
And the best part?
He forgot to buy tape.
This had me laughing so hard 🤣🤣
You got ENFP so right in this one 😂
"Dude, you don't garden" - "But I could, it's not that hard!", that's basically a conversation I have with my sister every time we go to a store 😂
My sister and I and both NFP's and we do this, but sort of like "Imagine if we had a garden, we could totally buy this OR we could build a cat patio! It's a whole lot of "what we could buy if we had this or that or needed this or that" lol. Or we'll see a keyboard and be like "hey if we bought one we could totally learn!". Our ISTJ mom has reigned us in a bit, training us all out lives. SO, we WANT to buy the things we don't need but there's mom in the back our heads telling us no, it is impractical, don't you do it". We do still do it, just not as much, However, occasionally we will buy something for our mom she doesn't need and would never buy herself and she appreciates it because, well, she'd never get it herself even if she really wants/liked it. So it works both ways sometimes.
Okay, so I'm not the only one who goes around smelling all the candles...
I didn’t know I was such a basic INTJ. But I seriously relate to ISTP & ESTP as well. IKEA anyone.....
Considering I've hit 5 stores this week for specific items I knew were on clearance, I'd say this was dead-on. 😂👏
"No I just like to walk around and look at things" literally me for 30 minutes of every single day
😂😂 I was having a deep convo with my ENFJ supervisor literally 2 days ago about healthy lifestyles and what we put in our bodies.
I'm an INFP, consistently walk out of the store with less that five items, but I do get overexcited about all the things ENFP style. My roommate is so done with my shit after I walked her to the other side of the store the other day to show her an egg boiler.
She started explaining why it's impractical and how we don't have the space for it and I'm like "Oh yeah, I know. We totally don't need it, but it's so neat."
I stare at the egg boiler everytime I see one in the store😭
I'll never buy one. .
but I like to imagine using it.
Us I/E NFPs Have it hard man like we want everything but we know we shouldn’t take everything
ENTP and INFP cracked me up 😂 I have an INTJ and INTP brother. My INTJ brother is all about saving money 💰
Not sure where I fit. I go in a store with a list in my mind and I leave with the things I need plus a couple of other things 😆 I also look at things too long before making up my mind.
"No I just like to walk around and look at things" DAAAAMMMN INFP SO ON THE SPOT 😂👌
INFP, rarely buy anything and usually spend a lot of time browsing the electronics section. I don't really care about the rest.
INFJ here... that was my *EXACT* thoughts in Target the other day.
10 seconds later: oh look at this! I need this!
Meka B the hypocrisy is astonishing 🤣
The ENFP was so accurate I honestly SCREAMED
"Consumerism, consumerism & consumerism", strongly agree on that being an INFJ
Why is INFP so accurate though? I literally spend most of my time looking at random things and touching them for no apparent reason
Enfp : i need this!!!
Friend : But bro, you don't garden-
Enfp : Yeah but i could, it's not that hard
Literally me
I love scented candles. ISFP is so accurate.👌👍💯💯
Whenever he acts out the isfj of istj its just hilarious! The faces are too funny!!!
0:55 *A quote from Tyler Durden, an ENTP*
but I am an INTJ and this is exactly what I think whenever I am in a store
If you care about how other people spend their money then you are not an intj.
As an ISTP, I can relate more to INTJ
but I ALWAYS want to test the home furniture, as long as no one's around
Personally, I like to test out their toilets. I have yet to find a toilet that can flush, terrible design if you ask me.
“ sir that has so much fat and sugar “ while at the gift card section, I was so confused 😂😂
0:56
Love the Dave Ramsey quote!
LMAO, my mom is an ENFP. So trueee for her. She spends way too much money. I think the worst thing was introducing her to Costco. xD
Generally it goes like this though:
Her: "OMG I NEED THISSS!"
Me: "Mom you literally have something like that sitting at home that you don't even use..."
Her: "Yeahhh but this is so cute... and it's on sale!"
I have an INTJ husband.... We take a lot back to the store....ha ha ha. Keep the receipts.
“You don’t even garden.”
ENFP: “But I could!” 😂 Oh god, I’m dead.
"consumerism, consumerism, consumerism..." so infj
So accurate! 😂 me shopping with my mom who is an INFP is so frustrating and exactly my dilema 😂
I’m INTP and I feel like that’s gonna be me as a mom
The isfp is true for infps too😂😂
agreed!!! 😂
Yes
Agreee😂😂😂
Yup
I can personally attest to that!
As a hard ENTP that is 100% my mind when shopping especially with LEGO over here in Australia it’s so expensive
0:57 😂 Something I say to myself all the time.
ESFP and ESTP are totally friends I want to have in my life
Im a INFP, and I can confirm that
I'm intp but I relate to infp and infj scenes in this video too. I really like looking at things in shops and touch them. I get quickly zoned out on one object.
I think istj would be more along the lines of, "I remember so and so saying they need this so I'll get it for them" and "I need someone elses opinion on if I like this or not"
“Sometimes I just stand here and sniff them for hours” JAN LEVENSON BABYYY
INFJ. Spot on. Damn it
INFP -- I literally go to malls not buying anything, just wandering like a ghost and when a salesperson come near me, I'm hauling ass out that store on to the next one.
Aaaah! I relate to the INFP AND ISFP BOTH!!! I go in stores when I'm broke or bored and spray on perfume and facial toners and smell soaps and plan things I'm going to buy later.
0:56 My reaction while calculating my parents taxes
My sis and cousin are ESFP and the struggle is real 😂😂I have to keep them from openeing And trying things
ENFP. Walking in Sephora feels exactly like that... "Oh, I totally need this eyeshadow palette I'll never use!!!"
I am in shock at how ACCURATE THE CANDLE SNIFFING WAS I COULDNT RELATE MORE TO ANY VIDEO DESCRIBING ISFP’s
0:57 lmao im laughing so hard at how accurate this is
Damn when shopping sometimes I’m like the ENFP and sometimes like the INFP
As an INFJ, I can confirm the INFJ impression was perfect! Just like I like things, perfect! Hehe
HahahhahaHAHHAHAHAHA THAT INTJ IS TOTALLY ME 😂😂😂😂
Then you are not an intj.
Shout out to the NTs...SO funny!
