I've been determined to learn how to tune up my own bike, but got lost at this point. This video was SO helpful. I no longer have to wait 2-3 weeks to ride again while my bike is in the shop + I get to save some money! Super clear descriptions, showing how to break it and fix it was insanely helpful. Great audio, camera angles. All in all, you're putting out something that really is high quality. Thank you!! You'll be my first stop when I get stuck again.

Holly shit no one explains it the way you do. I watched three others Xperts, I still can figure out why my gear was jumping and my tension at the handle bar was all the way in. Adjusted the limit screws etc. etc. I did exactly what you said from beginning to end, my shifting is smoother than the day I bought the bike from the shop. I even took the bike back after a month and ask about the shifting not smooth, the so call tech.. turn the barrel adjuster but still didn’t fix the issue entirely. This isn’t a cheap bike either. Those guys at WHEEL AND SPROCKET ALL NEED TO WATCH YOUR VIDEO!! Subscribed!!

I watched another video and it stunk. I then watched yours and it was so simple when I followed your instructions. You use simple terms and don’t have to be a bike expert to understand it. When I did it the way you described, it worked perfectly! Thank you for doing such a great job!

nice video, a tip I have used over the years on a 9 speed rear cassette is after your limits have been set I will shift to the middle or 5th cog, and make sure my derailleur jockey(middle) wheel is inline with the 5th gear or if you have an 11 speed you can use the 6th gear as this is the middle of the cog set it is the balance point of cable tension on the shifter vs spring tension on the derailleur
