Loving these trade recaps! Jeff is dead on. This is a perfect example of a 0.50c risk for 10pt+ reward purely based on focusing on the tape. Also, the point of Jeff making an emphasis on keeping an eye on the big order blocks on Time&Sales to confirm the size is passing through on the L2 is key.
Yikes my boi! Proof-read before send lmao eww. .I can't @ you for you to fix this. Lmao you recap your victims? Hahaha I can't not light you up for this mistake. All fun...it think 🤔 😂😂😂😂😂
Great vids as always Jeff and Cameron. Here is what I got: Idea: Anticipating a strong move down (looking to short), as rest of market was bearish. Since we anticipate move to go lower, what we would like to see 1) Offer hold & 2) decent size build on Offer Find inflection point = $725 (divisible by 10 is good psychological price for traders, important technical level) Great tip: Length of time that the size is being held on offer = indicates amount of selling pressure against stock See big offer sizes on tape, holding the offer. Get ready. If see bids & offers BOTH stepping down (heavier size come in on the tape) = important indicator = Execute / Look to take short.
Great clip Cameron and Jeff. Spotting that size sure boosts a trader's comfort and confidence for putting on an intraday trade. You really have to watch that tape close. Again, I think the "market depth" too is critical if you are relying on the tape. Hard to catch the 'minimum hidden orders" but you see a lot fast. Thanks, KIrby.
You guys need a Tape Reading 101 video - show a static image and explain the elements of what we’re seeing. There’s a knowledge gap in all your taps reading videos. You talk about what you’re seeing but you never actually point out what you’re looking at, or where you’re looking to see that and recognize it. Do a video explaining it to your mother, and then all the other videos will fall into place for everybody… Then, in all your videos, have a cursor highlighter, and point with your mouse to what you’re talking about. As it stands, we can hear the words and see all the moving numbers - but have no way to connect the two. You say things like “lots of buyers here”, or, “you can see it holding at 56.20…” - but you’re not giving any info at all about HOW see that…
They have an outlined course on tape reading, going through that allows you to be able to decipher the videos easily with tons of knowledge already. There's basic tape videos for what you're looking for
I have a question. How do you'll deal with rapidly changing order flow? I trade futures on short time frames and watching the tape see the orders flip rapidly, in paticular CL. The blocks will go from evenly spaced contracts of 20-30 to
Can someone explain to me what the difference between ARCA and arca (one is all caps the other is not) on the tape? PLEASE someone help! It's driving me crazy.
This one experienced trader, forgot his name, who's trading together daily with Al Brooks, said that it is not possible to read the tape on thinkorswim, it's even dangerous because you can see hidden orders. For tape trading he is using Ninja platform.

Thanks for sharing and asking that why question. Something to add to my tape reading.
That was a super clear level to short against.
Tape contrasting price action at an inflection point. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the video. What do the brackets around some of the order quantities on the level 2 list indicate?
DTR vs ATR on screen real time. what a feature!
short TSLA intraday on VWAP, nice

Why do we have some numbers (size) column) in brackets on the tape? Can someone please help me with response. Thank you.
They have a highlight feature most likely, DAS has one too. It's not important to know, focus on fundamentals

would you say that its impossible to be a CPT without reading the tape?
definitely possible. Most scalpers will need the tape however. If you swing trade then the tape is not as important
How to back to best strategies for dummies
If you shorted TSLA at 725 near VWAP. where would you place your stop? Would it be right above VWAP? New 5 minute high? Thank you.
That's the most logical... or the previous high
A break of 725 would be a hard stop.
do you guys ever use anything other than moving averages? All I ever see on any of your top traders charts
there’s no moving averages here. thats the VWAP
@@executive7871 Sorry was referring to most of the other videos on the channel that I watched.. thanks for the heads up
There's no reason to use 30 indicators, you really don't need them
are white colored orders on the tape buy or sell orders?
its not clear, they were executed at the midpoint
@@CameronCrosby2468 ok so there's no way to know if it was a buy or sell

If only Thinkorswim's tape could be as clear and easy to read as the program he's utilizing in the video. 🥲
Soo true . Wish it had some colour change like his L2
