Fika is often translated as "a coffee and cake break", which is kind of correct, but really it is much more than that. Fika is a concept, a state of mind, an attitude and an important part of Swedish culture. Many Swedes consider that it is almost essential to make time for fika every day.
In the Italian culture fika = "cunt". It's most important 👌 for the most Italian male 😀
It is actually written this way "fica".
@@elio067 I learned this in Assassin's Creed and kept chuckling when Bjorn kept saying it. :D
Fika in Hungarian means “snot”/mucus from nose
How different are the languages?!
Fika for 10-15 minutes (paid) at 9 and 15 is standard at most workplaces in Sweden (time will ofc be different depending on work hours). But it does not involve any snack unless there's like a special occasion. Usually it's just tea/coffee/water and a nice conversation. :)
@@KekszNET in Italian is even more funny 😂
Your time is valuable Bjørn, I would say go the Norway route until the border is completely open and save those 2 hours for quality time with Wifey
Finally, the Sweden route is back!
ID.4 Was the most sold new car in Sweden last month. Of all cars.
Nop. It was Volvo xc60. Id4 came at nr 6. Most sold ev was e-niro 3rd place.
@@mediaofline Ah, it was in April the ID.4 was at no:1. My bad 😀
I’d do it in Norway, the hassle is too much.. as far as the landscape Mjøsen will do! 😉
I would like to see the Sweden route with Tesla Model 3 SR+ (MIC) because then we can see what the experience is like when using the superchargers :D
would be nice to see the V3 charging curve, battery should be nice and hot by there
ABC - always be commenting!
I think there is no point in risking to waste 2/3 hours waiting at the Border. In my opinion it's better the Norway route until borders will be open again. Thanks again for all your testing!
The norwegian landscape is spectaculaire 🇳🇴 ⛰
Bjørn - for now, just stick to Norway - no point wasting hours getting through the border. Would also add support to the request from @anemam to do one or two "50kW charger" 1000km challenge(s) to see how it compares (if you can summon the enthusiasm!).
Norway until the situation with COVID changes. Thanks for all the videos
I like the chargers with the "Schtatus" charged lighting...
Man you kill me. Your videos crack me up. Double Sausage Penetration. OMG too funny.
12:25 as an Italian, I've to say that this is a very... Peculiar name for a desert 😂
Ho pensato la stessa cosa 🤣
Nice with the Swe route. That last stop in Helsingborg is 5 mins from my house and I drive an ID4 too
Bjørn, I would like to ask you a question. All the 1000km challenges you do are with a proper infrastructure (using HPC). However, in Spain (and I guess in many countries as well) we have mostly 50kW charging stations, apart from few ionity chargers. Based on that, a 1000km will be slower here than in Norway. The question is: Could you do just one 1000km with a car like ID3 or Kona (non Tesla affordable cars) using 50 kW only? Then we can see the differences and have our own estimations. Regards Mr. king!
He has done that in the past. You can check all the results on his spreadshiiieeet. I would like to see tests in the regions you are talking about, though. Spain or Italy, very popular holiday destinations...
Check out his non-Tesla arctic circle runs. Most of the chargers are 50kW on that route.
After half a decade of driving EVs: 50kW is not suitable for longer routes, for me.
Just play around with ABRP. An example close to 1000km in Spain: abetterrouteplanner.com/?plan_uuid=21ec6bdf-c83b-4fe7-b734-2d834011e721
@@elmojito or go for a Tesla which ist much more fun to drive anyway.
Circle K Double Hot Dog i tried in Estonia, honestly they have the best gas station food! Wish we had these in the states!
Nice to see you in Sweden again!! Welcome back Björn!
Hopefully, the GTX will come in more interior colors soon
Norway route is fine for me
Man, I miss Sweden and Norway. It doesn't look well for this summer as well by the looks of it :-(
I really need to be back there to recharge my own batteries.
Thanks for the good show, good info.
Tesla's 1000km, 100% V3 SuperChargers! Love to see how much V3 reduced travel time on all models?
will that be available also for the sr+ model 3 2021? Or is it only for lr?
Please choose the Norway route until the border is completely open again and without any restrictions) thanks)
Up to you. Norway sounds praktischer.
Norway please. Same route as Fremont car for a good comparison. Although it would be good to see how the LFP goes with V3 charging.
Feels nice seeing Björn traveling in my home country again!
wierdest thing with Ionity you explained now! Great!! Never understand the colours. Should be green for avaiable . And red for taken - or what do you guys think??
I think you can choose what ever route you want to do at the time of test. It doesnt seem to impact the result in any major way. In these longer driving videos i mainly fast forward in driving scenes and just listen to your talking parts. Since Im in sweden myself i like watching Norway videos because of the nice landscape. I loved your blog-videos around Geiranger a few videos back. Really stunning scenes. We dont have that here around stockholm. That damn in-land ice that flattened sweden during the ice-ages. =)
Norway route of course! Too much substracting plus unoptimal charging in Sweden.
Really like the colour. Norway route fine by me. Interesting to see how the cars perform and if it saves you time take that route.
Norway. I love your fjords, hills & mountains. Sweden seems to be quite flat where you are driving.
South Sweden close to Denmark is really flat and boring yes. Northern Sweden looks more like Norway.
@@starvictory7079 Exactly... I am certain that Sweden is very beautiful. Very few of our freeways in Canada are scenic.
Thanks for the Video Björn. Great car, great time. I wonder how relevant the very little difference between the top 10 cars actually is in real life... Ride comfort and safety features should be more relevant.
This is a 1000km test. The speed is determined by how fast you can drive and the placement of chargers. As viewers, people tend to want to watch more of the car and charging of the car. As such, the Norway route seems to be more logical right now.
With same weather conditions Model 3 SR+ is at 178 Wh/km and 10 hours compared to 256 Wh/km and 10h30 for the ID4 that’s almost 50% more for the ID4! Talk about efficiency of the MEB platform.
4:32 SHIIEEEEET
Love your videos. What i'm missing is the part you review the Car also for interior, exterior, sound/noice when driving and such. Would make these videos much nicer if there were segment for that. And maybe a summary part in the end about the car, your thoughts, recommendation, comparison to other similar cars etc.
I think you should stick to Norway until the border is open completely. For you to waste 4 hours per trip for our "viewing pleasure" seems like a waste of your time when the results are what is important.
Think of it like giving a fixed price on some project but making the time 30-40% longer for no reason. Your hourly gaining really goes down!
I know alot of time is spent editing etc so the % is probably off, but you get my meaning I hope.
Your time is important so Norway route for now till Sweden boarder completely open.
The Tesla 3 MIC 1000 km challenge, Norway at night like the Etron and please make a new one with a long range/performance at the same route🙂
For now do Norway route, border hassle not worth it
You should set a sort of time to beat with a cycle around V3 charger with a tesla (plaid or other car of your choise). Just to see what is possible. Optimised just for best time!!!!
Do Norway, save the border hassle. Regards 2 Wifey. Hope your building plans are progressing well.
Norway! MIC ftw.
Bee charger network in Sweden is now Mer.
According to a recent article from efahrer news portal by Chip the ID.3 was ordered already 103,000 times in Europe so far and the ID.4 48,000 times.
Norway route please keeps it the same as USA SR+
A mixture of both routes are fine. Unless you need to decide on one, for consistency. Then I would say - Sverige ;)
"Laddfika" bra ord 😀👍
Welcome back to Sweden... but I think that the border hazzle will grow old very quickly for you. If you don't see any important gains by doing the Swedish route, stay in Norway I say.
Maybe do it in both to give a recent direct comparison same car. I know that would be a 2000km challenge....Given you are on different roads anyway perhaps do 2 x 500km challenges.
Yes! Välkommen hem!
Make sure to wave the next time you pass Munkedal, see you Björn. 😁 välkommen till Sverige. 😎 also, that is not Strömstad, it is Skee. 😁
Ladefika for the win!
There is always more fun and interesting Norway route
Found the Norwegian
I would say Norway vs Sweden routes are pretty similar when it comes to speed limits. A different option would be a German or Danish route, aiming for 120-130 km/h average, to see what cars are doing better at higher speeds. That would be a more relevant test for Germany, UK, France, Italy and Denmark where speed limits are higher.
Germany has stau and baustelle. And Denmark has left lane huggers 🤣
@@bjornnyland Yes we have way too many left lane huggers in Denmark 🤯
Italy has very expensive highways. 1000km on Italy highways costs about 100€.
5:40 : DP lol
For me, landscape takes second place after accuracy. Every instance of "I will subtract X minutes" reduces real world accuracy. So Norway it shall be.
I would say do the MIC Model 3 in Sweden
Go Norway for now, border time wasting and extra things you need to go and extra resources are not worth it. Swedish scenery will be there waiting, just a few more months. No rush.
Björn. Take the Swedish route. You need a change of diet.😀 and all Norwegian use Sweden as pre-autobahn🤔. This is good to try real consumption, in real driving. The wait at the border is good so you can rest.
Norway would be my preference as 110kmh is also the speed limit where I live, plus it would be a closer comparison to the existing Fremont results.
Choose based on V3 SuC availability.
Do MIC in S please, better food and ass-falt
Fika is more a social thing.
Yes it usually include buns or sweet bread but not necessarily, it's a time for social interaction and coffee (or fluid of choice).
Fika mitigates hierarchy and the CEO of a company can and often will fika with workers on the floor. For example my boss come to fika with us daily, and the ones above him comes too sometimes.
Is the ID4 preconditioning the battery when you navigate to a charging station?
Sweden!
South Sweden can be pretty flat and boring. Maybe there's a route more towards North Sweden? Guess charging network sucks then though... Mostly 50kW higher up in the country.
Did you test the turning radius on the GTX? Is it as good as the regular id.4?
Not.
AWD will never have as good turning circle as RWD
the dope id 4
This is interesting to see.
Tried the Ionity chargers several places.
But I cannot get them to work. Only get an error message when trying to start charging. Do you have any tips?
They're not wind turbines, they're fuel mills.
Fika FTW! :)
Go for Sweden route please 🙂
Stay in Norway for your tests Björn until borders are open again.
Hey ninja, can you do a Swedish run of the Peugeot e208?
What is your favourite electric car?
Hi, oktober 22. I have ordered an ID.4 GTX and I'll receive it sometime after new year. But I am getting cold feet. It's my first EV car. But there are a few bad rewievs for the id4 but It's like it's mostly in USA. So should I buy the ID.4 ? Hope for a reply. Best regards
How did it go Karl? Have you got your ID4?
the gas stations are mostly under a roof while many charging posts are in the open air.
det är inte så stor skillnad på ID.4 vs GTX
Swedish route ! #FIKA #doublesausage
Norway :)
Jag är amerikansk och jag älskar Sverige!
I think Norwegian route is better until the border is back to normal again :)
Dont waste 2-3 hours in the border, go in Norway!
Norway landscape is far better in my opinion!
Do the Norway route with the Tesla MIC. Sweden really messed up with COVID-19 so don't give them your business!
12:19 in Italy that word means something else 😂😂😂
The Swedish landscape 😍
Norway with V3, jealous as UK has hardly any V3 awesomeness.
Is it possible that you got an older ID Software Version?
In a German Test the screen text of the IDX was red, "home" symbol was a football and max. charging speed was 134 kW. (ID 2.2)
Bjørn i understand that Sweden route is more fun maybe with better ASSphalt, but sitting in the car for 2-4hours to to cross the border is a bit to much dont you think? xD
Definitely not worth it in my opinion.
sweden
Sweden 😊
Fika is basically when you eat a pastry
Sweden ftw!
Sweden
What driving mode did you use during the test?
What about doing the eqs 1000km in Germany so you could test high speed consumption for 130+kmh. Would be interesting to see how the drag coefficient helps at that!
Bjørn, are you interested in a list with 499 new and upcoming BEV models with links to news articles for each model for research purposes? I made a list with all new models. If you are interested go to the channel info tab of my youtube channel to find it.
The swedish route :)
Bjorn can you link the OBD dongle you use for ID family?
