As a black guy that’s been with my white fiancé since my Senior year in high school, this is accurate even if U don’t say it’s a preference. I’ve faced more hate for being in an interracial couple and never even demeaning or turning down black women than I have for anything else in my life and it’s sad tbh. I love my fellow black people, but we gotta be more accepting. As long as you’re not bringing down your own people, discriminating, or flat out being racist towards your race, you shouldn’t get any flack for who you date. Whether that be a black person with a white partner, a white person with an Asian partner, a Latin person with a Native partner, etc etc. Love who you love🖤✊🏿
White woman here, in a long term relationship with a black man. Every time we go out of the house there would be a black woman starring at me angrily. Like sis... Why? I never felt any type of negative way seeing black women living their best life and being appreciated by a white man. Honestly, brought my now wife (10 years) to my moms house and my mom hits me with the “who’s your friend” and when I responded “this is my girlfriend” the whole mood changed. To this day she still refer to her as “that woman”. I have kids and everything too that she doesn’t talk to over it.

Let me share my experience, black women around my age told me that I'm not black enough or dont act black to appeal them. I'm not changing my ways to attract a race. If you like me for me that's fine but the things I do shouldnt be based on attracting a race.
I experienced the same thing from BM and got hate for being dark skinned. So do many other BW I know. The difference is we didn't go around bashing BM to anyone who would listen, we opened our options and kept it moving? As a Mexican I do not date other Mexicans. My family is so big and has been living in one area for generations. Growing up every Mexican I was interested in showed up at our family parties. They were related to me some how. I found out some guy's grandfather was my great grandfather's brother. I'm like I'm good, I will be called a traitor by my family, but I don't feel like dating a cousin.

As a kid while growing up I always thought you're supposed to date someone you truly love based on connection, vibing together, opposite attraction, personality or good communication. I only started learning about preferences, self hate, fetishism, high and low maintenance and racism in 20s since in my country I hardly hear about that. For me when it come to date men his skin tone doesn't matter and as long as he comes from humble family or accepting each other(not to change yourself for anyone) and doesn't like mistreatment. Yeah but due to media in America, we still in a racist society and the people still believed we're still in the 1900s. As a guy I dont see skin tone either. I was also taught to live and respect anyone you want as long as they respect themselves towards you and my family. Love is Love. It been like this since forever. @@zayngster Well… there is quite a long history of white women being the demise of black men. To be honest, I would be apprehensive too and my husband is a white Mexican. When my sons are older I would prefer them date black, Mexican, or Filipina girls. I say biracial girls too, but they couldn’t be a tragic biracial. If they met a really nice white girl that comes from a completely non-racist family (Including the grandparents or any other relatives) then that would be ok. I never once dated a black woman, because without fail, they would always treat me poorly. As a kid while growing up I always thought you're supposed to date someone you truly love based on connection, vibing together, opposite attraction, personality or good communication. I only started learning about preferences, self hate, fetishism, high and low maintenance and racism in 20s since in my country I hardly hear about that.
