- I play a Magic the Gathering Online Legacy league with 4-Color Beans, a resilient, basic-heavy version of the popular archetype from Patreon subscriber Kari-Matti. This list embraces the full control lifestyle, playing a ton of Basic lands to keep stable resources, Up The Beanstalk to draw lots of cards, and a heavy emphasis on War of the Spark's Narset and Teferi. Light on win conditions, heavy on interaction, a sideboard providing the lightest touch for some challenging matchups, even supporting Blood Moon, this deck is working hard for every win. For real, this is such a wild idea but I do love it
The Dredge deck you played against in round 2 is a recent innovation. Since Satoru and Poxwalkers makes it really easy to mill their whole deck, they can go for a blazing fast Thassa’s Oracle combo, and no longer need to rely on Bridge From Below. They still run 2 in the main deck, but it’s not really that important to their strategy any more.

I was confused for a bit why Lutri wasn't in the deck, but realized after that it was one of the other two decks this week.

Since you explicitly pointed it out, can you maybe expand a bit on why Teferi and Narset have fallen so hard? With Narset I guess it's that Orcish Bowmasters does the same job while being proactive. Is it for Teferi also that it's so weak against Bowmasters?
You got it. Bowmasters replaces narset and lines up very favorably against teferi

At 12:00 they could not have casted the Echo if you had Lavinia in play right? Since the CMC is higher than the amount of lands they had
Maybe I'm just a filthy recreational player, but at 1:13:22 that decision to plow your own creature would have easily slipped my mind, even though I was actively worried about bolt. Nice play Bosh.

This is a real "every flavor beans" situation.
Awesome league. One tiny thing, in your opening hand game 1, is it worth holding onto Lorien and sending a land to the bottom so you have a blue card if you ponder into FoW?
Haven't finished the video yet but I'm predicting AAR -1 murk, +1 uryo. Just seems to make always IMHO in a bant deck

for some reason i never realised veil has spells can't be countered on it. i thought it was just hexproof from black and blue/ draw. too much text on cards now!!

59:16 I disagree with your statement. That match showed why you bring in Stony Silence. Any deck that has Urza's Saga is going to have Artifacts that can be shut down. This was an odd take.
Also that draw from your Lands opponent is not uncommon. Saga is their other win con so why wouldn't want to shut down their artifacts?
A pair of 6/6 constructs don’t care if they have activated abilities and I’m not bringing in a 2 drop to turn off Mox Diamond. There’s way more nuance to this than “deck has artifacts”
@@BoshNRoll The nuance is that it's not a bad card to side in and your take is just wrong. Turning off Lavaspur boots and Soul-Guide Lantern is not bad in your MURKTIDE REGENT list. But sure I'm the idiot.

Bring in Null Rods vs. all Saga decks, it's your life to live, I'm not coming to your house to stop you. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe you're wrong, maybe we're both right within the context of the plans we make for these matchups. All that matters is if you're winning games or not. Good luck out there.
8:39 it feels like Beans in this position doesn't change anything for you, one Force is not enough to beat combo and you are not drawing off the Beans for 2 more turns anyways

You pronounced the name of the donator wrong. You said Kharimati, but I am pretty sure it shuld be Kari-Matti. In Finnish if there is a double letter, you actually say the letter two times. Also the emphasis is always on the first syllable of the word, and in compound words the emphasis is always on the first syllable of each word the word is compounded from. So Kari-Matti would be pronounced KAri MAT_ti. Oh, and in Finnish you roll the R's. Google translate can in some cases help since you can hear how it should be said, but since Finnish is so different than English that it gets it's pronounciation wrong too.
