- We take a quick look at the new McFarlane Toys, Gold Label release of the Batman and Batmobile set based on the 1989 Batman movie. We’ll also compare it with the previous McFarlane DC Multiverse Batmobile from The Flash movie and see if this Gold Label Batmobile is a worthy upgrade.

Great review! Less than a minute in and I subbed (after I googled Anton Furst). Refreshing to hear someone actually give the production designer credit (and you listed him 1st)!
Thank you so much for the great comment and for taking the time to watch and subscribe. Yeah, we tend to think of it as the “Keaton” or the “Tim Burton” Batmobile. It is but Furst was the real visionary behind the design. Thanks again! 🦇
Don' t feel cheated if you got both since the flash batmobile is very reminiscent of the Batman Returns Batmobile Just paint the canopy a gloss black that matches the rest of the car and Tada you have The 89 batmobile and the Batman Returns Batmobile.
Can't wait ❤😂

BATMOBILE
I got both versions and feel kinda cheated that I had to buy the same item twice. However, the '89 batmobile is my favorite version of all the batmobiles, so I snagged the amazon exclusive once it became available the second time around. I wish that they would've at least included the machine guns. Otherwise I heard that Ramen Toys is making a mountable set along with a custom canopy.
Are you going to get the Raman toys canopy upgrade kit for this version?
How much???
Its not yet available here in the uk?
Hopefully soon?
Back in stock on Amazon as we speak $74.99.

I just can't get past the plastic. I made allowances for some Eaglemoss Batmobiles, but the larger the scale, the more obvious that it's not diecast metal. I feel the same antipathy to plastic for all the same reasons that Norman Mailer used to write about. So instead I;m saving up for a turntable and system to play all my old records that haven't been on a turntable for 25 years.
That's a thought: are vinyl records plastic? or is vinyl derived from rubber? I have a horrible feeling vinyl records are McFarlane plastic.
I don’t have a problem with the plastic but, aside from Eaglemoss, the construction material is why I often lean more towards lines like Hot Wheels and Jada. While I only have a few Batman figures, it’s also kinda cool to have a Batmobile that you could use with a large scale figure. I actually have the deluxe BTAS Batmobile set but I still haven’t opened it after all this time.
(I suspect, with the right sound system, even the McFarlane plastic vinyl will still sound good!)
