      @CamaroAmx 5 лет назад +35

      ForeverRanger 91 every story I hear of Vince makes me wonder how he makes his marriage work, had time to have children or be apart of their lives, enjoy anything that his money has allowed him to buy. You’d think at some point he’d take a step back and enjoy his success at some point.
      He’s on the road with his promotion just as much if not more then his wrestlers. The big difference is when the wrestlers get hurt, they get plenty of time off. Vince doesn’t seem to take any time off. He may step away from the camera, but he’s still backstage.

    • @MrSheckstr
      @MrSheckstr 5 лет назад +11

      I imagine in a way it’s a lot lot how Ozzy and Sharon Osborne made it work with their two kids. Linda McMahon is almost as active in the business as her husband and their kids were involved in it since a very young age. With the exception of Scale it’s little different that a Old style city butcher shop where the wife keeps the books and watched the counter while the kids run errands

      steven heckert or kinda how my uncle and aunt were for many years. They both worked for the same company but my uncle was on 1st shift and my aunt was on 3rd shift. They never really saw each other, except on weekends so there was no time to get sick of each other or even to argue really. And at least one of them was available for the kids depending on the time of day. Must of worked because they have been married for almost 40 years and I rarely ever heard about them arguing.

      Fuck Infinite Scrolling, Bring Back Pagination Actually,
      Vince reminds me of real life George Jefferson. Not naturally confident because of circumstances(Vince because of upbringing, George because of looks and physical stature), but they created an air of invincibility because they had to...it was them vs the world. Then lo and behold, they won and the confidence was real.
      And think of this with Vince. He had a deal where he had to make quarter of a million dollar payments each quarter or he lost it all. That means sleeping 8 hours is out, eating for 5 minutes is a nuisance, you put a phone in your gym while you work out. There is no time for rest. And think of the balls it took to go into Verne Gagne’s office, in his power, and tell him he wants to buy him out when he has no money.

    I live 15 min from WWE HQ. In 08 I’m on i95 and a gleaming, brand new white Escalade with a “Linda for senate” bumper sticker FLEW by me. The speed shook my car. I then watched this SUV make some of the most ERRATIC driving maneuvers in and out. It was INSANE for an Escalade to make. !! It then whipped over 4 lanes and got off the WWE hq exit.
    After reading the driving stories about Vince, seeing the Escalade as if it just left the dealership lot, a Linda for senate sticker (crookedly) slapped on the vehicle I’m assuming that I know who it was now lol. For whatever reason At that time I was positive that it was Stephanie. Almost like Vince was too important to drive his own car. Nope, I tried to catch up. It was pulling away when I WAS going 90.
    If you’re familiar with the area you know the building can be seen perfectly off the highway. There’s the POS liquor store right across the street, this residential street right behind the building with decent looking homes too. It’s like it was just stuffed in there. It’s nowhere near the heart of Stamford’s downtown. Awesome looking (small) glass building

      @@vladdascalescu This was from the original HQ. I’m unsure how old the newest one is (heart of downtown) but it can’t be more than 3 yrs. Hey, the new building is BAD TO THE BONE! But it’s not Vince. I drive for Uber sometime and I picked up a woman who is head of the WWE Twitter operation. Long story short she told me that she spends quite a bit of time at the original building and uses the gym inside the building frequently. 👇🏻
      You KNOW that I had to ask her right? “Hey, have you ever seen and or communicated with Vince? Does he still go there?” Ever so matter of fact she said “he’s there all the time. We’ve never really talked but he always says hello”
      She didn’t know where he spent more time where etc but there’s NO WAY that this new building doesn’t have a gym. The new building is DEAD center among all the ‘intellectual’ BS business buildings in Stamford. Be careful what you wish for Vince you just might get it. WWE HQ went from 2 exits prior to the heart of downtown (like some kind of outcast) to the HEART of Stamford.
      I envision the shareholders being there a lot. I don’t see wrestlers going there often. I could be wrong I have no idea. But this is for COOPERATE!
      As for my main point in the first post…. Hey guys, the stories that we hear about mcmahons driving is on point. Cmon, who ELSE could it have been. Brand new Escalade with a “Linda for senate” just slapped on there with the vehicle getting off HQ. Exit 9 I’m pretty sure off of 95. Stamford is about 45 min from NYC

    Kevin Nash told a story about riding with Harley, on his podcast. They were in the DC Metro area, and got lost, and Harley came roaring into the NSA, or some secure government agency complex, stops at the gate, but because of the speed he approached, the gate guards are on alert, and they got half a dozen M-16s pointed at the car, they're ready to jack shit up, and Harley Race, with half a dozen automatic weapons pointed at him, drops the window and says "I'm fucking lost. How the fuck do I get back to the freeway?" Meanwhile, Nash is convinced he's about to die, and Harley probably figured he'd catch all the bullets in his teeth and spit them back out.

    I'll be honest. Vince McMahon was over because he is an entertaining person. You could tell that wasn't a character. That was really him. It was a caricature of him but not far off from the real thing.
    I'd have loved to have gotten a chance to pick his brain during the attitude Era.

    I’ve often wonder why doesn’t, or perhaps if, WWE travels, or traveled, with one of those mobile offices I’ve seen on TV that are built in the frame of a Sprinter Van or Bus for Vince and other top executives of the company so that Vince (or others) could conduct business whenever they travel on the Road instead of in the Air. Seems like almost a given that Vince would want access to something like that that is permanently set up for his needs and preference instead of have to make do with whatever they can borrow at the locations

      In the rain though, so wet conditions... You're supposed to drive slower and keep a bigger distance between cars. The time estimate on maps apps are just in perfect conditions and traffic.
      But yes, having an average speed of like 90 mph and the distance between the 2 cities being like 144 mi, he could've done it in an 1 hour and a half.
