Actually when you said you can't shake anything out... That's pretty much a lie. If you push in the button and then shake - candy would come out! But that's our little secret. And you can do that on almost all candy machines. (also mine)
there is a space/slot/hole along the path where the nickel goes that is just big enough for a penny to fall through but a nickel will roll over it because its is too big to fit, therefore it won't fall through. i didn't even make it but i am pretty sure i am right. and if i'm not then that is one way a coin return could work!
@ElectryDragonite Actually my biggest pet peeve about candy machines is that you can shake it out, i made sure that all my candy machines cant do that. This mechanism is indeed what you think it is, but i press the pieces very tightly so that the mechanism cant slide away. i admit the pieces get a little loose over time and need to be pressed together occasionally but altogether it cant be shaken out. :)
Leave the guy alone and use your own brains for a while instead of being posh boys and having everything done for you. Thumbs up to cheesy brick studios.
