A few summers ago I bought 3 day tickets to summerset like I always do and the person I planned on going with bailed on me. I wasn't gonna waste my tickets, I went alone and had the best 3 days of my life. I was just open and honest and made amazing friends and now I LOVE going to festivals alone, and I'm more independent in general. All of your tips are amazing and I totally agree travel is the best use of money
I would love to see a video about the different festivals you have attended and the experiences you had at them. I definitely want to go to a festival, but it's hard to choose which one with so many options these days. I hope you do this! Loving this series!
Or if you have the option, I would do Lollapalooza since they also have a ton of different genres. The difference for Lolla and Bonnaroo is Lolla is all weekend or one day and you can stay in a hotel, where as Bonnaroo is camping
Not gonna lie, I unsubscribed from your channel a few months back when you talked about being uninspired to make content, but I just came across your channel again and watching your last three videos I'm so happy to see you making content you're happy with and inspired by, I think I'm gonna resubscribe ☺️ keep up the great work!
honestly best music festival guide i've seen! so many guides i've watched literally don't know what they're talking about, you made a lot of useful suggestions that i give to my friends when they're going to their first festivals. great video, Lindsey!!
Wouldn't be mad if this channel turned into music festival tips/packing advice/outfit inspiration/experience type videos! It's so obvious you're passionate about this topic and I think a lot of people could benefit from it! I know you previously said you lost inspiration for this channel so this is just an idea (:
Although I'm not really a festival kind of person (I really like to go sometimes but it's not my must-go-in-summer priority), I find this video sooo inspiring and helpful!
I love how passionate you are about festivals! You should definitely make more videos about it. Maybe a video on festival stories or different ones rating each festival!
REALLY enjoyed this, watching you and your passion for shows and festivals really brings back such amazing memories - esp. you picking out your outfits from one of your other videos, I'm an "Old Deadhead" and saw close to 150 Grateful Dead concerts during the late 80's and early 90's. So just really wasn't 'music festivals' like they have now, but did do a TON of three day Dead show runs where we'd camp up in Saratogo Springs, but my husband and I DID do Woodstock 99 WITH our KIDS - a total waste of money for their tickets as even though they LOVED Limp Biskit at the time, the crowds just overwhelmed them so much that they preferred staying in our tents and playing their Gameboys for the entire weekend! Lesson learned for sure, they're 27 now and now THEY go to Bonnaroo and weekends like that, and are experiencing that themselves. You go and enjoy this summer, so wonderful to see you having met your love in FL and now you guys get to do this together for years to come (well at least until YOU have kids. And when you do, invest in a BABYSITTER even if they're old enough and they SAY they want to come and they'll enjoy it, trust me, they won't. The crowds will be too much for kiddos even if they're like ten like ours were). Thanks for all your positivity. It's fun to live vicariously through you thru watching these types of videos. Hugs, {{{{{{{Lindsey}}}}} By the way that's funny about them calling it the "festival flu" we used to call it "The Tour Ick" LOLOL, Peace...Cathy
I used to think festivals weren't for me just because I get anxious very easily but after watching this video and hearing your tips I feel a lot better about maybe giving festivals a try!! Thank you so much, Lindsey!! 😋
Hi Lindsey! I know you've been feeling a bit like people aren't appreciating your videos so much but I just wanted to let you know how much I love you and your videos, especially vlogs and videos like this one! I love hearing you talk about something you're passionate about.
Such an amazing video, hope we had more music festivals in France :( ! I am seriously so happy when you upload a video, I always et so exited ! You are so amazing, and seriously so beautiful ! Love from Paris xx
This summer will be my first festival and I can't wait! I've always had an obsession with concerts so I caaaan't wait to see so many artists on one festival!
Girlll!! Thank you so much for this video, it helped a lot I'm going to EDC this year and these tips were real helpful I would LOVEEE of you talked more about festivals, concerts, music etc. You get understand the love for this music!!
Ahh I loved this! This was such an informative video 💗 about the buddy thing, that's a good thing about having a twin is you always have someone who will go with you to the toilet or to get food
i love how much you love festivals! and i love that you're sharing your love with us. sounds corny but whatever hahah. it's just that i love when people are excited about something and talk about it. it's just cool seeing people happy ya know?
Love this video! I feel it's so informative! I love that you're so passionate about festivals! I'm looking to go to more festivals so, super excited! Thank you Lindsey!
there's no nice girls in my area. making friends hasn't been the easiest. one day maybe I'll just go and find some cool people , nice to no there's girls who feel the same
I love what you said about keeping positive vibes, because at any time you can just be having sensory over load or anxiety from all the things going on at a festival or your just tired and over it and its good to stay positive and just head back to camp or whatever and chill for a bit. I roll all east coast jam scene shows and festivals so I'll probably never see you at one
For people that can't afford festivals like me: if there is one near you, be sure to check out local radio stations for contests! I went to Lollapalooza for the first time last year because I won tickets from a radio station that was giving passes away EVERY SINGLE WEEKDAY in May! So many radio stations have multiple festival giveaways. And don't just check out the possible stations like KISS Fm, look for smaller, "indie" music stations, or stations you normally wouldn't listen to, because you'll have so many more chances. Nothing better than going to an incredible weekend of music for free :)
First festival ever was Moonrise 2015 in Baltimore, MD and my first camping festival was Firefly 2016 in Dover, DE!!! I am Electric Forest bound this summer and I cannot waaaiiiittttt
Along with drinking water, passing out will happen if you're dehydrated. I was at a Hoodie Allen concert last month and two girls passed out in the pit b/c they didn't have anything to drink. Luckily, my friends and I shared a water so we were okay but it just proves how much a little sip of water can determine your health.
I love you and this video so freaking much , Lindsey, stay amazing and beautiful as always! Btw make more videos like these because this one was absolutely amazing!😊💖
Couldn't agree more, music festivals are the best! I've only ever been to one festival (that being Electric Love Music Festival) both years, last year which was one day and this year which was 4 days, 3 nights. It was my first ever camping festival this year, and it was a total blast. :) Great tips, the shoe thing is so true. also the backpack thing. Editing to add: On the note of being overwhelmed at the festival, sometimes it can be hard to find the information of where it'll be located, but most festivals have what's known as the Sanctuary, a safe chill place to come and hang out if you're overwhelmed. Often times it's called the "Harm Reduction Tent" but it's seriously fantastic, I hung out there quite a bit during the festival I went to during the evening portions, they became my festival family and I'm friends with quite a few of them on Facebook now (friends that actually talk still, not fb friends who don't actually talk, lol). I don't know what the situation is for a sanctuary space at coachella, I've never been and the info isn't easy to find, a main reason I'd probably not choose to go to that festival. For Electric Love, it's easy to find it on the map of the grounds, same for Shambhala, it's easy to know where the Sanctuary is on the map. I actually met Steve Aoki because I was hanging out in the Sanctuary and he came in there to chill after his set. Cool guy.
Hey Lindsey all of your fellow Festie's are still waiting on that dope app you brought up a few months ago!! You should definitely look into making it.
Would love a video about all the festivals you have been to and pros and cons. I went to ACL last year and it was amazing. Also went to Hangout about a month ago and words can't explain the amount of fun I had. Next up for me is Voodoo Halloween weekend in NOLA!
It's EXTREMELY important to not forget to drink water, last year I had a friend who literally forgot to drink water(it can easily happen when you are caught up in the music/day) and she fainted at the front of a crowd and we had to carry her through a crowd of 1000+ people... for your safety and the wellbeing of others: STAY HYDRATED!!
Lindsey you seem so passionate about festivals and music. Have you ever considered pushing your channel in a more music oriented direction? Like doing album reviews and stuff like that
ALSO PLEASE MAKE MORE FESTIVAL VIDEOS, I’m going to my first real festival in a few months where i camp and i need tips and advice! Please make a video for like camping festival first timers pleaseeeeee
This was so so so so SOOOO helpful and this made me so happy! I got surprised with Coachella weekend 2 tickets yesterday for my birthday! It is my first ever festival and I am so so excited!! This helped a lot thank uuu 💛💛💛
Also you first talked about getting sick and taking vitamin C when at coachella, and I honestly have a really bad fear of getting sick in other places and traveling, so do u have any other tips with staying healthy when at the festival?!
+Liliana Fernandez I went last year and I'm going this year but weekend 1! If you feel sick sit in the shade coachella has areas where it's shaded also they have a record store that's air-conditioned(it was near the Ferris wheel last year) so even hang out in there once awhile:) honestly it's not that bad, I'm from Canada and have passed out due to hot weather and I felt fine at coachella! Just drink lots of water and if you need to rest, rest. Don't over work yourself just because you're at a festival! It's good to take breaks:)
+Liliana Fernandez also like she said bring a bandana, you might feel stupid but there's so many people that cover their mouths with it! It's so the sand doesn't go up your nose or in your mouth:)
Most festivals you can rent lockers which I think is a lot better than bringing a backpack, most festivals don't allow big ones anyways which means you won't have much room in a small one! At least with a locker you can go back and forth and only carry what you need in a smaller purse:)

ahh!! SO HAPPY YOU UPLOADED THIS!! I seriously live for festivals like once you experience one for the first time you can't stop. Just came back from Ultra Miami .. wish we had more where I live tho (Australia) but they're killing them off one by one :( So so so keen for 6 weeks of festivals in Europe over the summer!!

Bonnaroo is a good festival for your first time because it's not strictly one genre of music.
Or if you have the option, I would do Lollapalooza since they also have a ton of different genres. The difference for Lolla and Bonnaroo is Lolla is all weekend or one day and you can stay in a hotel, where as Bonnaroo is camping

Although I'm not really a festival kind of person (I really like to go sometimes but it's not my must-go-in-summer priority), I find this video sooo inspiring and helpful!
This is the first festival season that I've been able to afford going and this made me so excited. Can't wait for the amazing vibes and experiences 💕
I love how passionate you are about festivals! You should definitely make more videos about it. Maybe a video on festival stories or different ones rating each festival!

I really wish I had friends to go with these things with, I feel like I'm missing out on so much in life, but don't wanna do these things alone.
SAME! None of my friends like festivals or are into those kind of things. It sucks :/
If I met someone at a festival that went alone I'd totally let them tag along with me if they wanted too💃🏽💃🏽

I love these festival videos! You should make a story time of experiences at festivals
This video is so great! It's obvious you're really passionate about this! I think you should make a Q&A specifically about festivals.
Low key talkin about bad trips 😂😂
+zad mir lmao sooo true
+zad mir omg just at the end right??!!! so funny
I love what you said about keeping positive vibes, because at any time you can just be having sensory over load or anxiety from all the things going on at a festival or your just tired and over it and its good to stay positive and just head back to camp or whatever and chill for a bit. That happened to me too at a concert! Especially worse if it's indoor, I paid $6 for a drink at a concert which is ridiculous..
becca downs I paid five for bottled water that tasted nasty lol
+Sarah Biesnat so crazy! The prices should be way cheaper 😷😷
becca downs girl, they should!
I love you and this video so freaking much , Lindsey, stay amazing and beautiful as always! Btw make more videos like these because this one was absolutely amazing!😊💖

+Lindsey Hughes tysm for the reassurance Love you!
+mercyyepez14 Going alone is an amazing experience, one of my favorite ways to do festivals!
+mercyyepez14 You will learn so much about yourself. Honestly, alone might be the best way.
+John Heyen +PointyRedDog wooooo I'm still a little nervous but definitely more excited! Especially after reading these comments thank you guys!
“Drinking water is important especially if you’re gonna be drinking or partaking in...WHATEVER you’re gonna be part taking” 😂💕💕🙏🏼
Lindsey you seem so passionate about festivals and music. Have you ever considered pushing your channel in a more music oriented direction? Like doing album reviews and stuff like that

+becca downs thank you for the advice!! Have fun next weekend aaah!!
Most festivals you can rent lockers which I think is a lot better than bringing a backpack, most festivals don't allow big ones anyways which means you won't have much room in a small one! At least with a locker you can go back and forth and only carry what you need in a smaller purse:)
This is my first time going to a festival (Lolla) this year. This was extremely helpful! I'm currently googling lolla survival guide haha. Thanks!
I’m so excited for festival season in 2018. I’m already prepping yo.
OMG Okeechobee was amazing!! It was my first music festival ever and I enjoyed every minute of it. I wish I found your channel sooner so I could have meet you there.
make a video like this for concerts !!
I'm going to my first festival this summer (firefly) and this and the part two are helping me so much!! thank you :)

I'm going to my first festival in May!!!😊
i've never been to one but the way you describe it and how much you love them, it makes me want to go soooooo badddddd. i was wondering if you could make like a "festivals for beginners" or "affordable festivals" that you have been to. would really help a girl out :) thanks so much, youre great!
You should try and go the Paradiso festival in Washington! Literally the most beautiful view and great atmosphere to be in!
love this! you should make one on road trips!
