Also deportation, as Mr McDowell explained, it is a cumbersome system. The accommodation is at breaking point and most of people want a turn around of the decision to take so many people in. As we are not obliged to opt in, now is our chance to change things, not make it worse. I do think a referendum should be held on this. Article 29 of the Constitution says that any new treaty has to be put before the Irish people before signing it.
