I upgraded from the AW2721D to this bad boy and I can tell you I'm so glad I did. Firstly, there is no inverse ghosting when you set the response rate to super fast or extreme and secondly you can hit 280Hz on many games without issue. But the first reason is the most important. No ghosting at all! The only very minor downside is that it doesn't raise as high on the stand compared to the previous model.
What graphic card do you use? because I have RTX 2080 and idk if I should go for AW2721D (because it has nvidia GSYNC) or for AW2723DF (it has only Gsync compability)

They both work identically and BOTH have inverse ghosting on the super fast and extreme response times. The AW2723DF is the better of the two models. I won't be surprised if Dell discontinued the Aw2721D
I got this monitor last week, it took a lot of setting up to get the picture right but now its running really well. 280Hz is VERY noticeable over my previous 144Hz. I wall mounted mine on an arm. VESA (100 I think) does fit but you might need some spacer/pillars.
@@opinn90 I used Nvidia Control Panel to adjust the colour channels to my liking. Maybe increase your blue channel brightness a little if your whites are a bit yellow. Your PC might also be in night time mode, might be worth a google.

Dell has really nice packaging for their monitors but they don't ship them inside another standard cardboard box to protect them during the shipping process. So they always get beat to ship during shipping. Doesn't make sense to me at all.
I upgraded to this from the S2721DG. I see pretty noticeable color improvements, and the jump from to 165hz to 280hz is noticeable in FPS titles especially. Response times are incredible, the bezels are improved, and the peak brightness is higher than the 2721 as well. This display is also compatible with Dell Display Manager 2.x, which is nice if you have multiple devices connected to the display inputs.

I had a bug twice with this monitor where it goes black and will not come back on with a reset. Had to unplug it s power connector, count to 10, and plug it back in. I think it is to do with running games un full screen mode at 280Hz, if you tab out of game and try do something else too fast, the monitor bugs out. Hasn't happen again since I put Apex Legends in windowed. Has never done it with Sons of the Forest.

For the people that use this monitor, do you have any issues with screen flickering when you overclock the refresh rate to 280? Because on my Alienware ultra wide monitor I have screen flickering issues when I overclocked. I have to turn it back to native refresh rate inorder to fix the issue.
Just received that exact model today to pair with my alienware m15 r6 rtx3080 laptop which also has a 1440p 240hz display but since I don't have a DP adapter till tomorrow just running HDMI I'm getting 144hz at 1440p. Only sad part is it didn't come with a adapter for dp 1.4 to HDMI (thank Amazon I'll be getting it tomorrow) also just using HDMI it only supports 8bit color. When I use the DP 1.4 to HDMI would I be able to use 10bit color?? As I was confirmed by dell I will be able to get max 240hz at 1440p

@@luks6436 I can't perceive any, but that depends on the game and the amount of motion blur you select ingame. But practically nothing, as it is touted as better performing than its predecessor AW2721D which was great. For example, fast scrolling a web page/forum (black background/white text) with text you can catch the letters going very fast.

Biggest reason I got this over the LG OLED is because I already have 2 OLED devices that currently are suffering from burn in and I don’t feel like dealing with that on my PC monitor

The tiny bezels are nice but we are on the verge of oled 240hz 27” 1440p displays. I wouldn’t pay over $400 for this tier of monitor now

You most likely have HDR enabled which will lock brightness controls.
